A conversation, according to Google, is a talk or exchange of news and ideas among two people. The most basic form of conversation is in the form of a questionnaire; where either or one of the two or more people asks and answer questions, preferably alternatively. Questions and answers are most likely to turn up as juxtaposition. Really complicated questions can have really simple answers, and vice versa is also obviously true. If you ask me, I like questions more than answers. Simply because Questions have the ability to start and further continue a conversation.

What are the first things that come to our minds when we hear the word Atlantis? Well, what occupies my mind is either the grand picturesque views of the Hotel Atlantis in Dubai or the tall, dark, handsome Jason Mamoa in and as Aquaman. And if you pay attention to it, you will notice that both the above mentioned are closely connected to water. While the hotel in Dubai rests upon a man-made island, Aquaman is the son of Atlanna, an outcast from an underwater city. The underwater city of Atlantis.

Paris, the city of love. Paris, the city of lights. The city of dreams and most importantly the city almost everybody wants to go to. An international yet supremely European in its vibe, that is Paris for you. Almost every person I met in my life talked about how Paris is the city they envision to live in or at least go to. In the year 2018 alone, close to 40 million tourists thronged the city of Paris. With no doubt, one can establish Paris as the world’s biggest tourist destination.

If anyone one says they’ve never casually checked what their zodiac sign says about them, they’re straightaway lying to you. We all have checked what our zodiac says about us. In fact, I’m sure some people may have gone up to the level of finding out what kind of a Starbucks drink they are. If you just search once or twice about what zodiac sign are you, Google automatically gives you your daily horoscope in the form of Google flashcards. Newspapers, astrologers, Facebook, Instagram everyone makes such good use of our insecurities in the form of designing horoscopes.

Belonging to a rare species of humans that is, introverts, I can totally understand the tendency of the society to fabricate myths about us that aren’t entirely true. Introversion is probably the most misunderstood personality type. Nonetheless, there are various types of introverts but people tend to generalize all of them with misconceptions. In a lot of commercial movies, introverts are either represented as villains or as a protagonist who ultimately gets converted to extroversion by the other leaders who happens to be an extrovert. This ultimately conveys the notions about introverts prevalent in our society.

Books are a great source of information. We are so busy with our devices that it is recommended to read a book every once in a while so that we spend a little less time online. Books are great for improving concentration. If you don't read a book, it is time to start reading one. Because, if you are one of the countless people who don't read regularly, you might be missing out on some serious benefits. Books have always been with humankind since ancient times. Guiding us and enlightening our minds with knowledge and wisdom.

As I've always said, you first make habits and then those habits make you. Twenty-one days are required to develop a habit, but once you’ve formed a good habit, it can definitely be life-changing. It doesn’t have to be an extraordinary one, just small steps each day can help you transform your lifestyle. While there are good habits that you need to adopt, there are some bad habits, which drain your energy, make you less capable, hinder your potential and stops you from achieving your greatest self.

‘Being lonely’ or alone seems to be depressing but what most people do not understand is the difference between being lonely and alone. Loneliness is a feeling where you feel isolated, sad, gloomy but being alone can be fun. Most successful people enjoy their company, and they always take out ‘me time’ to give time to themselves.

When you’re at the stage where you’re almost going to college. One of the most common things, other than “Oh, My God! All the best!” is that College changes people. If you’ve ever been the recipient of this sentence, you know there’s a slight touch of caution attached to the line that marks the start of the so-called new life. If you ask me, it’s not exactly College that changes you, but the transition from having finished high school to prepare to go into what more or less feels like a preview of the real world.

Every once in a while there emerges a debate on why is it so important to learn English when Hindi is our mother tongue. I refrain from partaking in this never-ending series of arguments, mostly because these discussions do not offer any concrete conclusion. Choosing to be on the realistic side of this argument, I feel that suggestions and demands to not use English as a parameter for defining one’s level of education (or as more commonly called, one’s “standard”) have little to no effect in the real world.

What is magic? How does it work? Is it just a myth or it’s a reality? These are some of the questions that are asked by people when talking about magic. Magic in simple words can be defined as “the power of influencing events by using mysterious or supernatural forces”. The word magic is derived from the Old Persian word ‘Magu’. There are a number of practices in magic which include witchcraft, sorcery, incantations, divination, spirit meditation and necromancy.

A social, economic and political philosophy, Marxism serves as a school of thought that was the brainchild of Karl Marx (1818-1883), a German philosopher and Friedrich Engels (1820-1895), a German sociologist. Marx and Engels referred to their own theories with the term “Communism” rather than Marxism and declared the advent of Communism in their work “Communist Manifesto” in the year 1848 which later metamorphosed into one of the most influential political documents meant to analyze the cast disputes that came as a direct result of capitalism and capitalist means of ownership and distribution of production.

On 21st June 2019, a Class X student was found dead, with her wrist slit and head covered in a plastic bag, inside the washroom of a posh South-Kolkata school; before committing suicide, she had also left a chilling three-page-long note that described her mental health: highlighting trauma and depression. Post mortem reports revealed, the fifteen-year-old died of asphyxiation --- a blood-stained blade, assumed to be the choice of weapon was also found near her body.

I come from the city of Street Food, New Delhi and am a big foodie at heart. While growing up, my strongest memories of food were always the ones I enjoyed on the corners of roads with the crowds flocking around. Each weekend was about ‘what to eat’ in the stalls around the market or ‘which food van to choose’. My list of food items was always long and probably filled with all the options available but I had to suffice with what Mumma papa chose for the day. Golgappe, Tikki, Bhelpuri, chuski and what not.

My AIESEC internship is an experience I will always feel short of words for. It was a ‘one and a half’ month period of my life that taught me about myself more than I learnt the past 20 years. Well, it’s gonna be difficult describing it in an essay here since its a pool of emotions that take at least an hour or two of me blabbering, maybe even a tear shedding but YES OKAY LET’S TRY! When I had applied to a project for AIESEC, little did I know that it would change my life completely?
