brain went insane and started a game idea that bc I cannot code I'm 95% sure it will never exist but I'm haunted so basic tldr copy paste of it:

okay so there's 4 different options (think like pokemon where though YES you can customize your character into being yourself- they also have "characters" who fill that role in game/other medias) nonbinary(they/them or it/its options), boy(he/him), girl(she/her), and genderfluid(shuffles through one for about 1 hour and checks in mid dialog or something for pronoun change) but basically one-four of these guys bought land only rut roh! it's fae land! they got scammed!

and they get met with 1 of maybe 4-5? chow chomps(a personal fae original species for me)- Honey, Biscuit, Coco, or Milkshake- and they get threatened before the chow chomp makes a deal with the player

"if you can manage to grow anything on this land in a week you will live" or something

and the chow chomp basically checks in and give a new task for you to complete or you will (supposedly) be maimed since the land has been very barren bc fae AND normie plants and animals are struggling to grow and live there

so it basically becomes animal crossing, villagers(fae and normie) move in as you develope and grow everything and there's some minecraft/pony town aspects for people- as well as some stardew valley/fae farm aspects (specifically the dungeons and the ability to romance certain characters)

You are but a fae. One considered dangerous, but hey, even the grassblades of the overworld fae realm is dangerous- they stab and stab until there’s no more blood to drink through the soil.

you are but a bone fairy’s child- and a changeling’s child. A rare combination but one that… at the moment? was busy catering to several boney fae who lack insides and are definitely no fae you’ve seen before. Your hands are wet with something.

They look as different as a ruinic might. You can’t remember how to spell their name even in fae’s only written tongue. Mindlessly you place the towel you had been wringing out habitually for the past few minutes or so onto one of the stranger’s heads.

Maybe if you left on a hunt for food and to get some more fae’s bloods as paints you might waste enough time for them resting… There’s a wonder what color their bloods might be- are the blue and full of copper instead of iron? Perhaps lead? Maybe coal is what their blood uses as a method of oxidizing itself? Maybe their blood tastes like raspberries and are full of gemstones?

So many questions you can’t ask yet. A step out of the doorway to your humble handmade home with a vague feeling of someone watching your back.

Unaware you leave to gather food, bones and blood, with a dark as night skeletal fae watching your blood splattered wings twitch as you walk away.
