I love the accidentally dating trope for Sydcarmy because it's 100% some shit Carmy would do. just imagine he takes Syd out to all these nice restaurants to find inspiration for their menu, but they talk about anything and everything else like its a date. and Carmy is just thinking to himself "damn this dating thing is going smooth as fuck"

meanwhile poor Syd has no idea that in his world they have been dating for 2 months, and because Carmy is a famously shitty communicator, it never occurred to him that for it to be a date he has to properly ask her first
