Hiya Folks! Who's up for the 'New Year, New Me' thingie again? I am and this time I actually mean it, lol. Sooo, quick throwback to 2020: ✨I got into Zoom University ✨I made new friends ✨I joined a few bookclubs ✨I hit 1k 🤧 ✨I made 12 new posts ✨I did a live with one of my faves ✨[Ellipsis] . . . (I'm actually struggling to find the productive stuff I did, sooo..umm nevermind about the session throwback) 🤩N E W Y E A R ASPIRATIONS!!!!🤩 ⚡Aight, so I've set this goal of atleast making 20 posts for this year around. Which means, I'd be writing more roleplay games 🎭 ⚡And considering the amount of work load I get from university, I'm setting a small goal of reading 20 fictional and 3 non fictional books. ⚡Next up, I've decided to be open to all new challenges. I'll try not to chicken out anymore 🤡 ⚡Here's one more, i'mma try to let go of my perfectionist attitude because I know it has cost me a lot. No overworking myself anymore 😔 . That's about it! So here’s a photo of brother half reading but fully posing 😂#qotd do you have anyone to pose for your pictures? #aotd As for me, my brother us always at the service ♥️ The fact that he’s a reader too makes it easier for me to convince him to model. I’ve got so many random pictures of him posing and reading which I never posted. Another thing is that, he’s one of the most supportive people behind my blog, he would randomly do #bookphotography and ask me to put them on my blog. Many times he would come up to me and ask me to put up a story asking novel suggestions for him. But of course, I never do that because I’m the elder sibling and elder siblings are supposed to be evil?¿ . So, if you’ve read it till here, give my brother a book suggestion. Hello lovelies, So I've finally decided to go with a theme and the theme for October is 'trick or treat?¿' I know the picture above isn't anything sweet, it's some Yorkshire Pudding with Beef Gravy. i really really mean it please write muslim characters, it’s really not that daunting literally all you have to do is throw in a few casual qualities.

have them squint uncertainly at the meat options in a restaurant and ask if there’s pork in the sandwich. have them mention on the phone “oh, i’m gonna stop by the mosque first for prayer but i’ll be there soon.” have your hijabi girls squeal over cute scarves in mall store windows and swoon over sparkly pins. have them kindly reject a glass of water and say “oh, i’m fasting today.”

just don’t make their religion their only defining aspect. like??

for most women, wearing hijab is about as casual as wearing a shirt or pants. give me a badass woman on a mission to save the world just like you’d write literally any other badass woman on a mission to save the world— this one just happens to keep her hair in a headscarf and is careful not to eat certain foods?

and not all muslim women wear scarves, a lot of them just choose not to or they decide not right now but they’ll do it later? like, give me a girl who’s absolutely determined to break a world record and halfway through the story she shows up in a headscarf for the first time and it’s no big deal. 

give me a kid who’s on the search for an ancient magical artifact and also they get anxious at some point cause they’re busy but prayer’s gonna start soon and they don’t wanna miss it. have them whip out their phone and search for the nearest mosque. have them find some quiet place to pray alone, like in the corner of a hotel room they just booked while their travel companion’s watching TV with the volume turned down low.

just?? do a bit of research (when are the prayer times, when is ramadan, what are halal foods, mosques in texas, etc.) and write!!! muslim!!! characters!!!

Hello Lovelies!! Got two announcements to make: 1. I'm not dead, was just a bit busy in my real life so wasn't active much here.. though I missed y'all 💙 2. I MADE MY VERY OWN #BOOKLSLEEVE  FROM SCRATCH TODAYY (swipe to get a closeup) Now, allow me to brag about it 😂 So, I used some dark green velvet accompanied by a golden-orange coloured jamavaar to create my #masterpiece (as I would like to call it cuz it was my first time with sewing so yeahh) Anyways, I didn't fill it with cotton or foam so obviously it's a single layer of velvet protecting your book. I actually wanted to make it like a standard sized book sleeve but since I'm not a pro at cutting and sewing, you could definitely see how narrow I have made it 😭 Nevertheless, your average 350 paged novel can sit in quite comfortably 😎  Idk but I think that I should probably consider it as my future #business..
