Joker Jr.
Was thinking about an au where Bruce goes crazy/dies and Robin!Jason has to become Gothams main protector, and I had a realization: Tim Drake would be *perfect* as the next Joker.
Tim Drake is a obsessive Batman & Robin fan. When Jason dies in the main universe dies, he tries to get Dick to become Robin because that status quote was when Batman was most stable, or at least that's how he sees it. And we see later with the 99 Superboy clone attempts just how obsessed he can *really* get.
So in a world where, suddenly, Robin at 16 is forced to work alone, Joker to stop his criminal activities, completely breaking the status quo that Tim so loves?
Well, that just won't do.
And you may think he might just try and become Robin in this universe, pressuring Jason to become Batman, but Jason isn't willing to train him, and in Tim's head, he *can't* be Robin when he's only 4 years younger than Jason.
So what does Tim do? He paints his face white, puts on a orange under shirt, purple vest, raids a Joker hideout for supplies, and prepares to pull off the greatest joke Gotham's ever seen: Killing Robin.

Batman AU where, early in his career, he's "outed" as being The Batman.
But instead of using his normal, casual misdirect of "He can't be Batman, because bleh bleh bleh," he take an "I'm not Daredevil Christmas sweater" approach.
He drinks red wine and eats entire baskets of fruit, wears bat-themed rings, he has Alfred and the rest of the staff dress as crooks and mobsters, he has his suit tailored with functioning fucking batwings under the arms.
This isn't necessarily to deter the average superstitious and cowardly lot, but the ones in costumes? They can't touch him.
Selina? Most of the fun came from the masks, so she chooses to ignore it.
Riddler? Bruce sets him up as a guest host for Jeopardy with himself as Batman, why spoil the fun?
Two-Face decides to view Bruce and Batman as two separate people, and will privately ask to speak to one or the other.
And the Joker? Oh hoo ho, he be so pissed. The joke's funnier than anything he ever came up with, but if he tries to kill him as Bruce, he ruins it.
Once the Robins join, they obviously go through the same song and dance, and when Jason comes back, he goes full diva and wears a torn black tux, zombie makeup all over his body, and a broken red pill helmet.
Which only infuriates the Joker more, so everyone wins.
#batman#robin#batman au#Jason todd x crowbar#Scarecrows also mad because Bruce Wayne is very openly terrified of bats so now he knows what he's hallucinating

Prepare for angst.
So I don't really do much of the tumbling, but since Sonic X Shadow Generations is coming out tomorrow, I figured I'd throw a classic idea into the void: Reverse Generations.
Basically, for whatever reason, Shadow is stuck dealing with the time eater, with Rouge being his moral support and Shadow running through iconic stages and fights from Sonic Adventure 2 and Shadow The Hedgehog.
The two Sonics, on the other hand, aren't fighting the Black Arms, but are instead going through their most traumatic fights, starting with a fight against Mephiles and his death. After that his fight with Dark Gaia and Chip containing it.
But eventually, we start getting to see memories from before and between games, and Classic Sonic starts to become jittery. Classic Tails tries to console him, with Modern Sonic and Tails marching on to what they know is coming.
After the end of the Sonic story, everyone gathers around to watch Shadow defeat the Time Eater, but are confused why nothing returns to normal. Then a final door appears for Sonic to walk through. Modern Sonic is prepared, but Classic refuses to go in, doing anything he can to keep the door shut, including fighting his older self.
When the player defeats Classic, Sonic goes through the door, but doesn't find Eggman, a monster, or something final and epic.
It's just a young Sonic, crying at the side of his mother's hospital bed.
