Opening discord to see the already typed out but unsent message from one of your headmates where they’re just having a full blown crisis and you have no memories of who typed it or what even happened:
Tumblr media
Begging people to start signing off on things.

Finding a sense of community as a system feels like such an impossible task sometimes.
- You can’t join discord servers because 80% of the time, they’re toxic or unsafe. It’s generally advised not to join them, but they feel like the most abundant source of community. It doesn’t help that a lot of them also foster safe spaces for fictionkins/IRL’s and endo/tulpa systems. While I’m not entirely against fiction kins or “IRLs”, considering I can understand that IRLs stem from psychosis or other mental health problems, it’s not exactly great to lump them in with systems.
- God forbid you mention being a system on tiktok or twitter. That’s a hellhole we don’t even want to get into. Plus, there’s so much misinformation on those apps, we’ve only found one system account that we actually enjoy on tiktok because they don’t spew misinformation left and right, they’re just fun and relatable.
- Posting about it online WILL get you fake claimed. You can be the most stereotypical, hard to disprove, medically recognized system, and someone will still say that you are faking because you didn’t keep that part of yourself hidden for the rest of your life.
- Wanting to be friends with other systems will, again, get you fake claimed, because then, fake claimers see it as a roleplay group.
- Adding onto the discord bit, a lot of servers are filled with traumatized minors who are still in an abusive situation that then go on to perpetuate toxic ideology because they don’t have access to therapy or any medical help. But, because of our age, it’s hard to find servers that aren’t filled with 13-15 year olds, considering other servers will straight up tell you that you can’t consider being a system if you are not 25+ and medically diagnosed.
- Group therapy seems like it’d work well in theory, but getting into therapy at all is expensive, let alone, putting yourself in a room full of strangers to talk about your disorder when you yourself have hardly come to terms with it.
Our partner system is the only system we have communication with regarding to being a system. They are the only person that we know outside of family and teachers. We need to make friends, be social and get over our fear of communication, but it’s hard when you have to hide an entire part of yourself out of fear of being ridiculed.
Anyways, our Tumblr is turning into a ranting account, which wasn’t really the intent. But we’re not exciting, so there’s not much else to post without revealing too much about our system and putting us in a bad position.

How strange is it to be anything at all?
We just saw a tiktok of a so called adolescent mental health professional who clearly does not understand or give a shit about what DID is.
How odd is it to exist in a world where the people who were supposed to love you not only abused you, but mentally scarred you to the point where your brain had to form amnesiac barriers to keep you alive?
How odd is it to exist in a world where you are simultaneously never alone in your own head and so very alone in reality?
How odd is it to be able to go on the internet and see people deny you of the right to simply exist as a human being with DID?
How odd is it to see hundreds of people rally against you because of the way your brain decided it needed to survive?
Most people do not care about you. They won’t take five minutes to sit down and understand that you didn’t choose this. They won’t ever understand because they don’t want to, and it’s easier to pretend that people like us are just flukes in the system.
How odd is it to be anything at all, when people cannot accept your existence?

Just figured we should do an introduction for clarity’s sake.
We’re an adult OSDD-1B system, we’ve been aware of our system for well over a year now. We go by “The Garden” or just simply Canary. Generally, They/Them pronouns are okay if a post is unmarked. Though, headmates included in writing a post will be included as a sign off at the bottom.
Basic Introductions:
Noah (đŸŒ») - He/Ae | Host
Vickie (💐) - She/Her | CoHost
Finch (đŸȘœ) - They/Them
Jane (đŸș) - She/Her
Sasha (đŸ©») - Any/All
Zed (⚰) - He/It/They
Ami (🩋) - She/They
For future reference, headmates may be added or removed as they grow more or less comfortable with the blog. If someone signs off with their proxy but is not on the list, take it as anonymity.
-
We may mention our partner system from time to time. Generally, they will either be referred to as Primrose (system name) or Crow (alter specific).
-
DNI:
Basic DNI criteria, (Pro) Endogenic or Tulpa Systems, Anti-Agere, DDLG or any variants of Ageplay, MAP or ProMAP, Proshippers, Fakeclaimers, all that jazz.
