Context: Charles (left) is apart of a secret society on Earth to take over Allegra. Alesha (right) is a diplomat of Earth to Allegra. The two have unfinished business after Charles tried to recruit Alesha into this secret society that would go against everything she’d soon come to stand for, and by doing so, put her in serious danger. As former friends and current arch enemies, Alesha will stop at nothing to keep Allegra safe from Charles’ cult’s plan, and as Charles opposes her and the forces she stands with, he combats with not only her, but his own introspection on what he was conditioned to think and to do, as well as feelings regarding their past and current dynamic that he has deeply suppressed.

How did humans get to Allegra?

     Humans found their way to Allegra a long time ago. In attempts to discover a possible alternative world, a human from the Renaissance era crafted a glass sphere, cursing it with what would later be discovered to be Oallegren magic. This person found their way to Allegra through this sphere, and respecting the serenity of the planet, shattered it upon return, spreading these 13 shards across Earth. However, the magic in which this glass was cursed with was not discarded. A person who came across one of these shards would be sent millions of lightyears away back into the land of Allegra, shards included— and that is what happened to dozens of humans who came across these pieces of glass. Many of an imperialist mindset chose to stay in attempts to occupy and colonize the planet, taking it for themselves, while others would leave with the shards, but not without sharing their findings with fellow Earth dwellers, which led to the shards being passed around, leading more and more people into the world of Allegra.  To prevent the crossing of these two different populations of people, a group of thirteen humans were ordered to find these shards to reconstruct the original glass sphere, limiting the crossover between Earth and Allegra’s peoples. These humans made up Earth’s first embassy to Allegra, and their journey took many, many years. To protect the sphere, they crafted a stringed staff of the likes of a pochette as a means of control for the music-based magic the glass contained. The embassy at that point were the only humans with possession of the glass, so they were in charge of the humans that came and went. All humans were commanded to withdraw from their plans to colonize the planet, and allow the embassy to send them back to Earth. However, the humans already residing there had already begun quickly reproducing and bringing earthly resources to Allegra before the last shard was collected, and thus, they’d gained the power to retaliate. This marked the start of the first Hullegren War. The Oallegren managed to overpower the force of Earth’s people, who surrendered. But by then, it was too late to send Allegra’s human population back to their planet of origin, as much of that class had been born in Allegra and had grown accustomed to its culture. Sending them back would put these Oallegren-born humans through culture shock, risking another rebellion from Earth if returned, potentially putting future embassies in the same danger as the first, and the planet of Allegra in jeopardy once more. They were given the same living accomodations and treatment with the same level of dignity as the Oallegren, as long the humans of Allegra respected the natives of the planet as well as their way of life. Otherwise, the humans would risk punishment. Since then, the Oallegren and humans of Allegra have lived together in harmony.

Alesha James Wilton is the protagonist of Staff of Allegra.

A college student studying political science is offered a training position in diplomacy for a planet millions of light years away.

Alesha (she/her) is a bright, determined young woman. Her story begins at the age of nineteen years old, when a college buddy by the name of Charles Lancaster attempts to recruit her into his grandfather’s secret society, known as the AAA. Firstly, Charles doesn’t expect the harm Alesha, a trans woman with Asian and African-American blood, would be faced with upon approaching this association that since the 1930s, has only recruited Caucasian men, or the hidden imperialistic motivations behind these restrictions. He expects even less how Alesha’s enrollment in the college course taught by Clayton George Beck could clash with her recruitment. Not until he brings her to his grandfather, Clark Lancaster, who suddenly calls for the society’s members to seize her and badger her for the information that Charles had leaked to her as an outsider. She escapes with minimal injuries with the unexpected help of her college professor, Mr. Beck. After this incident, he concludes that keeping the truth her would only worsen the matter. Only a few students of Clayton’s had ever known of the secret society, and Alesha was the youngest and least experienced of them all. She needed a means of knowledge for their cause and how to combat it. Clayton introduces Alesha to a foot long, pochette-like staff, one that he explains can transfer an individual across dimensions with its strings. With this, Alesha is introduced to the vast world of Allegra, and offered a training spot in Earth’s secret embassy to this world with eleven of her other colleagues, the diplomats. She accepts the position, wanting to make use of herself with this high level of work, but not anticipating how different it would end up being from what she’s used to. Alesha’s journey through the story starts off with her reluctance. She’s uncertain of the world around her, and distrusting of others. However, she remains determined to prove her worth to the embassy and to all of Allegra that she can make for a worthy diplomat. She meets the princess of Emanaia, Jade Nightingale, who greets her with compassion and understanding. She’s given a tour of Morwenna, where she meets a shy young man by the name of Lyn Reed, a mermaid-siren hybrid called a pekilegren, who takes an interest in her. Suddenly thrusted into a companionship with these two Oallegren, she takes them along on her adventures as she explores and learns about the world of Allegra, its inhabitants and its government, taking on various tasks and practicing for the day she’ll be rewarded with an official place in the embassy. With what she learns of this place and the people who reside in it, she begins to feel a sense of belonging and a newfound sense of confidence, motivating her more than ever before to pursue this goal not only to prove something to everyone else, but because of the passion she finds in it and the world she finds herself truly wanting to make for the people around her. The sense of fulfillment she finds in every day she spends in this place that starts to feel like home.

But with great power comes great responsibility,

and what happens when crisis hits, old friends become new foes, and the young diplomat is forced to face the reality and sacrifices of leadership far, far sooner that she had been prepared to?

The land Allegra is a far away planet, lightyears away from the Milky Way itself. On this planet resides a vast myriad of mythical creatures, each contributing to the serene ecosystem in which they spend their days. Allegra is divided into three domains. Emanaia is the land domain, ruled by the king Sora Nightingale and his daughter, Princess Jade Nightingale. Emanaia is an earthy landscape full of vegetation. The Oallegren there live humble, cozy lives among the flora and fungi. Anemone is the air domain, a bustling metropolis ruled by King Soleil Feng. Its residents maneuver freely through air and clouds, basking in the sun of the day and moon of the night. Morwenna is the water domain, ruled by Queen Marina Mayim. The domain of Morwenna is held with high regards, and its civilians live with courtesy and dignity in the deep sea. All three domains of Allegra live in harmony, and the world’s creatures lead respectable lives in which they treat one another with decency. Still, as with all worlds, there are questions to be had.

Will Alesha find that there is more to the story of Allegra through her adventures? Will she uncover the reality within the fantasy? What happens when the serenity of this world is suddenly put to a halt, when a threat from the faraway land of Earth interrupts its harmony?

And mostly importantly,

is the harmony in Allegra under threat of more than what lies outside its atmosphere?

What Strength Really Means 💪

Hey everyone, my name is Abdelmajed. I don’t usually talk much about myself, but today, I want to share a little piece of my story.

I was born and raised in Gaza, a place that has always been my home 🏡. I grew up surrounded by my family, my friends, and the streets that I knew like the back of my hand. Life wasn’t always easy, but we had love, laughter, and dreams. I used to think that no matter what happened, home would always be here. But life has a way of changing things in ways we never expect.

Over the past months, everything I once knew has disappeared. The streets that were once filled with children playing are now silent. The houses that held so many memories are now just rubble. And the people I loved—some of them are gone forever. 💔

Hi gays, this is my first time posting on Tumblr. Helloo!! My name is Cas and I’m the writer of my current project Staff of Allegra, which soon you’ll be hearing all about.
