As a European I use the 24-hour clock.

This has a strange side effect.

Occasionally I will pull out my phone, check the time and then put it away.

Now my brain remembers seeing a three, but now I have to figure out if I saw 3 as in 13:00 meaning it’s one o’clock or I saw 15:00, my brain automatically translated that to 3 meaning it’s three o’clock.

This leads to me zoning out trying to use context clues to figure what time makes more sense.

Then ultimately pulling out my phone to check the time again.

I would like to know if anyone else can relate to this.

The Story Behind My Name

One thing to know about me is I hate laughing emojis, like I have an absolute irrational hatred for them.

Another thing you should know about me is that I am terrible at remembering birthdays, hence why I have one of my friends birthdays entered into my calendar with a bunch of random emojis so it stands out. (🧛‍♀️🧞‍♀️🧚‍♀️🥳🥳🥳 )

One day I tell said friend about my burning hatred for laughing emojis and how I feel physical pain every time I use one (because sometimes its necessary) and we come up with the idea of choosing a random emoji to use instead.
