Random Country AU idea ig:

AU where the world is a mix of the present and the past. So you have modern day places and medieval places, in both of which people live.

Stay with me.

I would love to see someone from the Germanics go to war/battle or just interact with the Bulgars.

For that, you need a mix of multiple centuries all at once.

One is back during the times of Old Great Bulgaria. Here might I add that my boy Nikolai (Bulgaria /681-today/) is the son of Old Great Bulgaria and Slavinia (modern Bulgarians are a mix of Bulgars, Slavs, Thracians, etc.). I'm not a fan of the idea that the country personification is born when their country is created. It's just unrealistic in my opinion for a child to rule a country. So in my version, although Nikolai is a mix of different tribes he is born and raised in Old Great Bulgaria (the people who initially created the First Bulgarian Kingdom were from there). After his dad's death, Nikolai inherits one of his dad's tribes. Later on when his mom dies as well, he also inherits the part of the slavs that will eventually mix with everyone else in Nikolai's territories to create modern bulgarians.

Countries have had their cultures change incredibly much throughout history. I would love to see different points of countries' cultures interacting.

/I still have no idea from what point of history I would have the other nation/tribe or whatever be in a cultural sense/

/I also still haven't really figured out what the place of the past tribes/nations will be. Would they somehow be in the territories that they ruled over or would we have two worlds, one in the modern day and the other in the past and you can somehow travel between them? Idk/

I would love to hear world-building suggestions.

I have come to the realization that I can ship Bulgaria with different countries and since our main hunter in the Vendetta comic (by basessilis) is the Netherlands (Hendric, yes I am stealing the name from the comic) and my boy is a werewolf I figured why not get Niki to be with Germany. (Germany is the Netherlands' brother and Hendrick hates Nikolai)

Even better if Germany himself initially is also a hunter.

Recent doodles during literature class.

Tried to read "Тютюн" ("Tobacco" by Dimitar Dimov). Put it on hold. I will probably end up reading it, but just like with "Гераците" ("The Geraks" by Elin Pelin) I wasn't a fan of the characters so I struggled quite some to enjoy it. I get that especially with the second work having unlikable characters was the point, but damn did it make it hard for me to have fun reading.

I really liked the idea of "Vendetta", but since it never got finished I was thinking of making my own spin off of the plot surrounding what I already have going on. This would most certainly also be left in the drafts, but it's a very fun idea to play with, so who knows.
