Ozai is so pathetic, like that “take his bending away haha he’s harmless now” trick would never have worked on Zuko, if you took his bending away he’d just grab his swords and come at you twice as hard, Azula doesn’t have swords or anything but she’s pretty good at hand to hand and amazing at talking her way out of problems, Iroh bust himself out of prison with no bending at all, meanwhile Ozai? Gets his bending taken away and then just collapses, doesn’t even try anymore, then just sits in prison and tries to get into Zuko’s head some more, he could have trained up and tried to break out too! But no! Bet he can’t break steel bars with his bare hands. Bet he can’t kick a steel lever in two. Bet he can’t even do a flip.

Also we never really see him do any really impressive firebending apart from when he has magic comet power, I guesss he shoots some lightning at Zuko, but that’s it and Azula is still better at the lightning thing. Azula has blue flames. Zuko can do firebreakdancing and bend with his swords. Does Ozai, who is not 14 years old, have blue flames? No he doesn’t.

He didn’t even do his coup himself, Ursa had to kill Azulon for him! Could have just challenged Iroh to an Agni Kai for the throne but he didn’t bc he knew he’d lose.

And then he only ruled for like 6 years! He lost a war that had been going on for 100 years bc of a bunch of kids.

This is one of my absolute favorite scenes from firefight and I definitely did not reread it like twenty times because the way- the WAY these traumatized babies just LOVE and TRUST each other!!

Chapter 36 had me in a chokehold for days because just the- the way Leo absolutely melts because he's just so so tired and the way Raph feels more at ease because he can hold his little brother in his arms and has a feeling of "I've got him" is just * chefs kiss * THANK YOU REM FOR THE DELICIOUS FOOD

Please read ALL of Rem's fics as they are just so very well written and you can feel every character in your frickin guts, it's great

Soooo end of comic! Yippee! I left it a bit open ended because I like me a little angst. I may continue it in another mini comic later but I kind of like the abrupt melancholic end.

Ok ok, so I headcanon that Mikey was low-key obsessed with Leo when they were younger, like you know how younger siblings sometimes hero-worship their older siblings??? I also think once Mikey got his own interests, they grew apart a bit. Of course Mikey still loves his older bro and still idolizes him a teensie bit, it's nowhere near like it used to be.

Donnie... Well, he thinks he has insomnia and, while his sleep schedule IS crap, it's more just because he doesn't even try to sleep because he's so busy with work. If he does, mans is out in 0.05 seconds flat. (This is obv hc pls don't at me).

Also, I noticed that the quality is kinda trash and it's because I draw comics in the worst possible way and have to like screenshot them to post each page... Don't even ask, I'm an idiot lmao and once again, backgrounds do be non existent rip

Uhhhhh... A comic? Like a big ol' comic??? I don't even know, friends, I don't know how to colour and/or draw comics. I'm just living my best half-assed artist life ✨ Also sorry if my writing is messy ✨

Anyway, this comic is kind of a branch off of the comic I posted a WIP of a bit ago. Long story short, Leo has big insomnia™ and instead of lying awake all night he tends to use the time for more useful things. Like checking on his dearest brothers!

Poor Raph has nightmares, but usually keeps them to himself. However, he's been more comfortable talking/crying about his issues with Leo bc he managed to convince Raph that, as a leader, he needed to be aware of his team's headspaces... Or something idk just go with it.

Anywayyy the next part is where Leo checks on Mikey and Donnie sooooo stay tuned!

More Rise doodles! I realized I had a theme going, so I completed the set. If there's one thing that I love about Rise over all the other iterations of TMNT (not that any of them is any better or worse than Rise) is just how obvious it is that these boys are actually brothers. Yeah, they might rib on and needle one another, but these moments are met equally or exceeded by moments of genuine affection between all of them.

This show has taken over my brain, man.
