Thank you so much! Yes of course! Rogue and Magneto always need much love!
MAGNETO REX, ROGUE REGINA Time has swiftly passed for Rogue and Erik, marking a year since they embraced the responsibility of leading Genosha. It proved to be a journey far more fulfilling than either of them had anticipated. Beyond mere human diplomacy, it was also to encourage, guide, and aid the citizens of Genosha in every conceivable manner.
Despite her hesitance in the beginning, Rogue seamlessly transitioned into her role, offering unwavering support and wisdom to Erik. Her resilience, insightfulness, and empathy complemented Erik's vision and also steered a path for the betterment of Human-Mutant relations.
The news of the upcoming coronation of the New King and Queen of Genosha sent shockwaves throughout the globe. Their schedules brimmed with interviews, conferences, and engagements , all advocated towards the cause of Mutant Rights.
The days slipped away in the lead-up to the coronation, the very day arriving with startling swiftness. The ceremony was reverent, and as they processed down the aisle, hushed murmurs and whispers could be heard from the attendance of the people, their eyes beheld much faith and trust. It made her acutely aware of the expectations that were resting on both of them. For a fleeting moment, doubt threatened to cloud her thoughts, but Erik's reassuring grip on her hand dispelled it.
As the sun cast its golden afternoon rays upon the palace balcony, adorned with vibrant flowers and lush greenery. The royal couple stood poised for press photos, and the planned pose had become more of an impromptu one, as Erik, a natural leader, stood proud and majestic, slipped himself behind his Queen, his hand resting on the small of her back as a sign of reassurance of comfort and she leaned gently into his embrace.
Cameras flashed with the silent approval from the photographer. Behind them, the proud insignia of Genosha served as a fitting backdrop, a symbol of unity and strength under their reign.
The citizens of Genosha gathered in anticipation and excitement below, their faces lit with reverence and hope as the royal couple stepped out onto the balcony. At the center of it all stood His and Her Majesties, King Magneto and Queen Rogue, newly crowned rulers of the island nation. More info about the art:
Having the urge to draw this because it was on my mind since forever, and I like to explore the 'What Ifs' of the X-Men's universe. So going into the 'What If' realm of if the Sentinels attack hadn't occur and Rogue accepted Erik's proposition. A Elven attire (Lord of the Rings) and for Erik’s, imbuing certain characteristics from Chinese Fantasy Drama particularly Xian Xia drama. , I sought a delicate balance between functionality and elegance in their garments. Despite my admiration for drapery, I opted for functionality and practicality without compromising on regal charm. For Erik, I envisioned him embodying the wisdom and nobility similar to the Immortals depicted in Chinese fantasy dramas. His robe, carefully tailored to reveal his hand, was draped to evoke a sage-like presence, exuding both majesty and authority. Choosing hues reminiscent of their battle attire, I softened the silhouettes, creating a more inviting and pleasant aesthetic. For Rogue, instead of her usually robust-self, I opted for a more and demure stance but standing in front of Erik, just to show that they’re on equal grounds. GENOSHA Genosha's flag was redesigned as the original one was too "barbaric' to my tastes. How I see Genosha = Earthy + Floral + Otherworldly Red signifies courage and valour. White signifies purity. The symbolism of 3 signifies harmony, wisdom and understanding.

A Sort of Redraw of Ming from my AU, Rise of the Dragons: Ming Testing new Clip Studio Paint, using vector lines for the lineart is quite time consuming, though it achieves a cleaner and more flexible lineart. Would need to redraw a few more art in Clip Studio to get a hang of it.

Urzai ask, what part of each others bodies do they like ?
Ursa: There isn't an specific part of his body that she likes more than the other. She gets mesmerized by his eyes, she always wonders how its so golden. She'd also trace her finger along the shape nose and lips whenever they cuddle (especially how warm he'd be and he's her personal warmer). Ursa also loves grabbing his rear whenever they're alone together. Ozai: It is also the same for Ozai. He enjoys her lap, which is also her thighs because they're so comfortable to rest his head on and her fingers running through his hair, caressing his stress away after a long day of duties. He also loves her chest, he'd rest his head against them after their session of lovemaking.
TDLR: They love each other very very much.

I mean, not to beat a dead horse (again) but “Ozai wanted power and control and Azula wanted to be loved” is a simplistic distinction to make - which is ironic because a lot of people who make this argument say that they are recognizing Azula’s complexity, but what they are really saying is that they can only think of abuse in terms of simplistic, black and white, good vs evil dichotomies. Which is not to defend abusers, but rather because it’s important to recognize that your abuser can love you - can want your love - and still be an abuser. It’s important to recognize that love is NOT a defense for abuse.
And of course I’m not saying this to defend Ozai, but dude also wanted to be loved. Obviously he didn’t know how to get it in a healthy way, but he absolutely wanted Zuko and Azula to love him, and it worked. They worshipped him. And as I said in my last post, I think Ozai’s need for control probably stemmed from not getting the love he wanted from his own father. I think he loved Azula, which, again, is not to defend him, because obviously that love was unhealthy and abusive and destructive. What I mean is that Ozai gave Azula the love - or his idea of love - that he himself wanted. He made her the superior sibling, he gave her power and recognition and everything he wished Azulon would have given him. To Zuko he gave the things he learned from his own father that a father gives their son, and I’m sure he would have been able to justify everything he did in his own mind, as he does justify it to Zuko when Zuko confronts him with it on the Day of Black Sun. He seems totally shocked when Zuko tells him how horrible it was that he burned him, and repeats that it was done “to teach you respect.” In his mind I think Zuko was just an ungrateful child that needed a harsh hand. And if someone pointed out to him how he treated his children differently, he would have probably justified it with pointing to Azula’s many successes and Zuko’s many failures, not realizing that this was a dynamic he created.
Again, the point is not to defend Ozai - or really to condemn Azula - but the point is that abuse itself is complex. Abusers rarely see themselves as monsters. Azula calling herself one is proof that she isn’t.
ATLA itself actually lampshades the desire to think of abusive/violent people as monsters and not real people, as well as the “he was once a sweet kid” trope in the scene in the finale when Katara finds Ozai’s baby pictures. Zuko gets angry and calls Ozai a monster but Suki is incredulous that someone so sweet and innocent could grow up to be who he became. But the truth is that Ozai did do monstrous things but he is still a human being, as Aang says. That isn’t and shouldn’t be used as a defense, but it is true. And when you realize this, it’s actually the opposite of a defense, because you realize that human beings, on their own, are capable of horrible things and capable of justifying it with very human emotions, but none of that excuses it.
Not that I’m saying Azula and Ozai are the same, either, or are equal in terms of narrative sympathy, because of course they aren’t. Azula is, of course, more sympathetic, and possibly open to a future redemption post series, because her age means she has the ability to change and would have a much easier time of it than Ozai, but Azula also wanted power and control because she wanted to be loved and believed, because she internalized that from Ozai, that power and control were the only ways to obtain it. She literally says this in the finale, that trust is for fools and fear is the only way to maintain relationships. And that scene is actually an interesting contradiction because she also accuses her mother of fearing her, but the relationship with her mother is the one she really wants that is lost to her. Not that that is at all her fault, but it’s interesting that she says this as if her mother fearing her is proof that fear is the only way to get people to stick around, when her mother didn’t. Maybe some part of her thinks that if she really were a monster she could have made her mother stay, like Ozai made her stay? She could have made her brother stay and her friends stay. Which is a really sad thought, but it’s also what makes Azula a villain.
I guess the problem is that we tend to think of love as a positive force. “That’s not real love” I hear a lot of people say when I see these discussions, not just in this fandom but in many different contexts. And love CAN be a powerful positive force, and a redemptive one. But not always. Love can be obsessive, and selfish, and destructive. And when you start splitting hairs about whether Azula or Ozai or x character is capable of love, you start getting into some murky discussions about abuse. If Ozai doesn’t really love his children, does that mean their love for him isn’t real? I would say no. Zuko DID love Ozai, Azula still does. Some part of Zuko probably still does even at the end of the series, because it’s natural for a child to feel that way about a parent even knowing that that parent hurt them. But it doesn’t mean it’s a good or healthy relationship. But what it does mean is that people are complex and they have messy, complex emotions. If understanding the motives and emotions of people in abusive relationships were simple, then it wouldn’t be so hard for victims to leave in the first place. But of course as we see in the series, it wasn’t easy for Zuko, or Mai or Ty Lee, and it’s impossible for Azula as she is in the series. Denying that is denying the complexity with which these characters and their relationships are written.

The comics are good. You just have bad taste.
"The comics that retconned 90% of the show, can't even remember that Aang is a pacifist and that Zuko isn't a pushover, and that are constantly demonizing the mentally ill are actually good."
Sure, anon. Now go say that to someone that asked for your thoughts. Door is right there, buddy.

To the Anon who wants to know why people ship Urzai---
TLDR: We love our ship and we arent going to stop.
There isnt a random surge in popularity we've always been here we've just been beaten and forced into hiding because the fandom can be very brutal when it comes to shipping anything that not "normal" think of people who ship jokerxharely, makoxkorra, DracoxHarmonie, NathanielxChole from ML.
We Ship Urzai for the potential. You have to be honest in the actual show Ozai is a one-dimensional character and Ursa barely exist. Yet there are so many unanswered questions about the Royal Fire Family In general.
I mean ask yourself what is more interesting: a poor woman taken from her "lover" and forced into a stereotypical loveless marriage. Or A upper class Marriage and family of love and care crumbling slowly because of one person ego and pride.
Neither answer is wrong because both questions are the true backstory to Urzai. The creators had one story but changes it to another and that's ok.
What is not ok is to bash people who see the journey of destruction and what to expand on it.
Urzai shippers want to know HOW? How did Ozai go from a Father that loved his children to a Father who would burn his son.
There is a world just waiting to be told with Urzai but it has been forcefully pushed away and murdered and we are tired of it.
We will continue to create for this ship and we will not die. Urzai week 2022 is coming up and we will celebrate.
The Urzai community is strangely one of the most supportive and encouraging ones BECAUSE of how small we are and because we face adversity from the rest of the Atla fandom.
So simply we ship Urzai because there are endless stories to tell.

After reading that, I don’t have hope for the show.
Elizabeth Yu (she/her; Untitled Ray Romano Film, All My Love) will play Azula, the intensely driven princess of the Fire Nation. A firebending prodigy and relentless perfectionist, she’ll stop at nothing to secure her position as the heir to the throne.
It was all good until the retcones started...

Cherry Blossoms After many RPs over the years that I had with my friend, Lisa and our little headcanon that they’d spent a lot of their time in the royal gardens, particularly underneath a cherry blossom tree. The two were comfortable within each other’s embrace, relishing the serenity in the garden, away from prying eyes and the whispering lips, their clothes used for warmth in the mid Autumn. There was no wind that day and the blossoms had fallen more than usual.
