United Way Berks “Blueprint For Leadership”  Session #4 was hosted by @enersysstoredenergy and focused on board culture. Fun fact: Theron Cook is the artist behind the collaborative art piece in the first picture. ( This art piece was designed by Theron and painted with Enersys Employees celebrating BLK history month through his collaboration workshop.. (inside joke we had to include two other class members that weren’t there for the picture.) Shout out to Kris for the editing skill lol

Expressions of Love: Paint, Sip, & vibe experience 💕 SOLD OUT EVENT‼️
Celebrating SELF-LOVE, SELF-EXPRESSION and the transformative power of art as a tool for mental health and emotional well-being.
February is a perfect month to embrace self-love, recognizing its profound impact on mental health and the vital role of creative outlets in self-expression. At this event we painted my signature heart rose design… (Which is two symbols of love ❤️ 🌹).
We Tapped into Color psychology and how colors influence emotions, behaviors, and perceptions. In this context, we created a monochromatic painting with the colors red and pink palette.
Red: often associated with love, passion, and desire. It evokes strong emotions and is known to stimulate energy and excitement. Red can also symbolize romance and deep affection. Pink: represents tenderness, compassion, and affection. It is often seen as a softer, more nurturing version of red. Pink promotes feelings of calmness and warmth, making it ideal for expressing love in a gentle and caring manner. The combination of Red and Pink used together creates a harmonious palette that conveys a balance of passion and tenderness. Evokes feelings of love, affection, and connection. Enriching the emotional experience. Thank you!

Theron Cook Art x RIZE Program Solidarity Mural at Barbey's Park
Solidarity Mural
Art is more than creativity! it's transformation. We see firsthand how art has the power to shift perspectives, inspire action, and rebuild lives. It serves as a safe space for expression, a catalyst for healing, and a bridge across community divides.
For many youth in our community, art is a path toward resilience, providing an outlet to channel pain into purpose and passion into peace.
Through our programs, we're changing community norms by making space for youth voices, empowering them to envision and create the change they want to see.
Art is the heartbeat of our mission driving empathy, unity, and hope.
Together, let's continue to shape a world where art saves, heals, and transforms.
Thank you to our resident artist@theroncook for bringing the communities vision to life. Thank you to the @cityreadingpa for approving the design and believing in the mission. Most importantly to the youth, families and elders who helped create and paint the mural.
