Hey, I just wanted to make this post to tell you that this story hasn’t been abandoned (quite the contrary as I’m almost finished with the first chapter). Life has just been kicking my ass and I haven’t had to time to be on any social media. I’m sorry for completely going radio silent.

Adventure Themed OC Ask Game

An ask game for people who want to talk more about their characters! These asks are for all sorts of characters: Original, fanmade, self-inserts, etc.

True Name. What is their name's meaning, origin, etc?

I feel like MC will inevitably wind up as the Tired Older Sibling to pretty much the entire rebellion. By the time everyone shows up they’ll be like “been there, thwarted that, got the tee shirt and went to the therapy session. Highly recommend, 10 out of 10, please don’t add to the pile of ambiguous emotional issues that led us to this mess”

I can definitely see that. I feel like the MC will just take the newest Rebel Fighters underneath their wing once they’re met with the true harshness of the Empire in battle for the first time.

Obi Wan would join in with that.

Writing has been going good so far— if that’s what you’re referring to— and I’m proud of the progress I’ve made. Some personal things, like school and my job, have kept me from coming online as I have a fairly hectic schedule (especially with the degree I’m aiming for).

I don't think Vader would treat the MC as his own, we saw how he was with Starkiller. Luke was different because he was what connected him with Padme and how he didn't give up on him.

I see Vader somewhat differently than other people do (depending on the version). Plus, the MC is connected to Padme somewhat (as you could have definitely interacted with her) as they are also connected to what used to be of Anakin.

Star Wars has very expansive lore and not all of it will be followed to a T.

Hopefully not as I don’t plan on getting any monetary value from this at all or the characters. If it does end up happening then so be it. At least I was able to do something while it lasts.

Hi! Not sure if you've said this or not, but what site is the game going to be on? Twine, dashingdon/choice script, etc?

I haven’t actually decided. I’m more familiar with CScriot but I know all of the things that are happening with it currently; I think I’m going to try both and just see what happens.

Im imagining MC showing the crew a picture of them, vader and palpatine and being like : " So yeah, this is me, my dad and my other dad"

Some would have much better reactions (i.e. Kit) and some not so much (i.e. E). Interesting times all around.

Does the mc know about Vaders kids, does they know it Luke and Leia?

No, as the twins were sent away in secret, after this whole mess is sorted out (meaning TSoH) I could see Obi coming forward to ask the MC for help with watching over Luke (or Leia) and to keep it a secret from Vader.

I don’t mind some soft moments with Vader if our mc has a good relationship with him but I do hope his character is still evil as it were. Like he was cordial to figures like Moff Tarkin and Thrawn where mutual respect was giving since they were actually competent at their lines of work but I hope we won’t be sitting down together drinking Corellian Wine with Vader at a space opera

I have an up in the air opinion about Vader… I don’t think he wasn’t evil (at a given point) but I also think at the end of the day he just gave up too… which is why the MC could potentially be used in the manipulations against Vader. As one of the main points of him slipping to the dark side was his fear of losing the ones that he loved the most (and then doing so because he went to the dark side). Obviously it doesn’t excuse the things he’s done but I don’t see Vader as an evil or good character.

Which will be reflected in the story; obviously he’s not going to be gentle towards random people (as that wouldn’t make sense). But he does have his harsh moments too.

I'm drooling at the thought of the MC taking on Palpatine while Luke is busy dealing with Vader on the second Death Star. That whole fight would be so insane. And speaking of Luke, would it be possible to actually help old man Obi-Wan and Yoda to teach Luke the way of the Jedi and the Force?

Probably way down the line, yes. I could definitely see that being something your MC could do (if you’d like). Of course, it would have to be when Luke is old enough (so when the originals start, pretty much).

The thought of the MCs possible interactions with Yoda makes me chuckle.

Vader, when he reveals to Luke that he's his father after chopping off his hand: OH and you also have a sibling.

Luke: no... it can't be..... Leia??

Vader: well yes but I mean you have an adoptive sibling too, I'll have to introduce your two but you'll get along with them I'm sure

Since the MC works within the Rebellion (and helped truly start it) that’d be a huge shock to Luke… poor boi wouldn’t be able to understand that you’re not only Vader’s adopted kid but Palpatine’s actual kid.

He’d have to go take a nap…

(All the while, Vader is in the background happy that his kids are getting along.)

As well as one of the most dangerous (and feared) beings within the known galaxy. Fun times are in store for MCs that have that sort of relationship with Vader. Especially with some of the ROs…

Sorry, I am bad at math, how old is the Mc compared to Luke and Leia in the story?

Luke and Leia are still children at this point. As this takes place a couple years after the end of the prequels (I’m still narrowing down dates as I don’t want to ruin anything else). I’ve just mentioned the twins because I was jokingly saying that I was going to shove the originals back some so Vader and the MC could have bonding when the MC was a child (but I can’t do so since the originals would be pushed back a fair amount).
