ugh i am once again reading a "oh no! a sudden winter storm has trapped us together and there is only one bed" story that i can't enjoy because the storm prep is so bad. fanfic writers will act like their readers are gonna die of bdsm if the characters don't leave the scene, walk downstage, and explain the stoplight system directly to the audience. and then those characters safely sanely and consensually fuck right next to a generator they set up indoors

I will never understand putting people who use sign language in your movies and tv series and then framing half the shots so we can’t see their hands!
You wouldn’t record dialogue with the mic pointed away from the actor.
If we can’t see them sign we can’t hear them!
#movies#television#sign language#this bugs me in every single media with deaf people I’ve ever seen I think#I don’t even speak sign languages but I sure as hell can tell when you’re making it illegible for the people who do#saying that there are subtitles so what does it matter is also stupid#there are subtitles for the rest of the movie too#they don’t ignore audio recording quality for that reason
