The people have spoken once again, and I must deliver. This list will include fics that are completed and fics that are still being actively updated. These are my personal thoughts on these fanfics, and it's ok if you disagree with some of their placements. There is no tolerance for hating Rujinu/polytrix here. Please be respectful of people's ships.

1."Two's Company (But They want a crowd)" By TossLotsofsauce: If you don't know about this fic, are you really even in the fandom?? Basically, this fic is about Rumi moving into Mira and Zoey's apartment, and Rumi falls in Love with them. Grab tissues for chapter 26, you WILL need them, don't say I didn't warn you. 3. "A broken soul trapped in the nastiest shell(How can you sleep or live with yourself?) by a_bird_who_is_like_no_other. Since I can't really describe the summary for this fic, I'm going to leave the comment I left for the writer on here instead:

When I say this is the best Kpop demon hunter fanfic I have ever laid my eyes upon on I mean it. This piece of work right here is the definition of art. Not only did you add on to what we, the readers and viewers, already know, but you also made it a prequel fic, which I still see as canon in many ways. The girls' voices shine through as if you were in the writing room with the story writers as they were creating them. This is not a fic I will be reading once, oh no, this is a fic that will find me on my saddest days and remind me that there is still much more to give to this world. I'm even scared to read the next chapter because you write so well, and I feel like I'm right there experiencing this with the girls. But I would personally read whatever work you publish, for the simple fact that this fic has left me at a loss for words for how good it is. 4 . "The Sun, The Moon, and all the peaks between" by gayheroine. This fic is Zoey letting herself be loved by Mira. It takes a while for them to start dating, but it's so beautiful and well done. 5. "Color me in" by starrclipse. In this fic, Mira and Zoey try to figure out what Rumi's pattern color means. They go through this long list of what each color might mean, and the last chapter is made me laugh out loud really hard, tugged on my heartstrings a little too. 6. "Tangled as these sheets" by tenderlumberjack. This fic personally lives in my mind rent free but hey, who's checking? The plot of this fic is: Mira, Rumi, and Zoey get caught in the middle of their fans' shipping war—but maybe one ship in particular has more substance than the others. If you haven't read it, please go and read it. It made me laugh, cry, and cry some more at the end. (Happy tears)

9. "I need you" by arttcait. Another Zoemira fic!! This one's about when Zoey leaves for a few months during Huntrix's hiatus, and let's just say Mira doesn't take it too well. 16. "The Warmth Goes with Him" by lyctors. Truthfully, this fic shouldn't be at 16 because of how good the writing is. This is a Rumi-centered fic(Rumi stans, I got you always) where she believes that no one will be able to love her. Guess who changes that?? Jinu, everyone, woo hoo. Yes, we're ending this list with Rujinu so that everyone gets their fair share of ships.

How I knew Kpop Demon Hunters was going to be bigger than anybody expected

I'll cut to the chase:

Before Kpop Demon Hunters came out, my life was going downhill. I was losing hope day by day after receiving some "no's" on a few job opportunities I was looking forward to.

Then I remembered I watched the trailer a couple of weeks earlier, and just rewatched it- to distract myself. But the more I looked at the trailer, posters, and characters, the more it lit up something in me. Something I thought that had left me forever: my creative spark.

It helped me reconnect with my creative voice again and gave me something to hope for and look forward to after I thought that part of me died and built its grave somewhere I couldn't reach.

Sometimes it only takes one story to re-remind you who you are

and

Kpop Demon Hunters wasn't just a movie for me, no, it was my anchor.

So how did I know this movie was gonna be bigger than expected?? I'll give you three and a half reasons why

(after rewatching the trailer and the movie 15+ times,duhhh).

The movie is centered around K-pop and even teased a kdrama scene during Rumi and Jinu's first meeting. In my opinion, K-pop is one of the most powerful global fanbases, no exaggeration. Just look at BTS; any award they have ever been nominated for, they win; that's how much of an impact they have. I already knew that having a K-pop-based soundtrack would make the movie bigger than expected, and Maggie Kim (The director!!!) confirming in interviews that a kdrama scene was gonna be involved between our two main leads?? I'm surprised most people didn't catch on to the fact that it was gonna be a good movie sooner.

2. The Movie is produced by Sony Animation. That's important because, unlike Disney, Sony Animation lets its animators take full control over what they do with their movies. This is exactly why Sony has become one of the most exciting animation companies in recent years. Movies such as Into the Spider-verse or Mitchells vs The Machines are living proof of what happens when studios allow their animators to go as wild as needed to produce movies that leave an impact on their audience.

Disney's tighter creative reins might be why they lean harder on sequels, instead of letting more emotionally rich, heartfelt stories shine. Sony Animation has continued to raise the bar for animated movies because they care about the film being produced, not because of profit. Disney could learn a thing or two from them.

3. Even before the movie dropped, KPDH was already building momentum; they had fan edits that were gaining attention, Tumblr accounts analyzing each frame from the trailer, and Twitter accounts begging for its release. But no, seriously, shoutout to every single Tumblr, Twitter, Insta, and TikTok account that posted about the movie before it dropped. We saw that this movie was going to blow up beyond anyone's radar, and now everyone sees what we saw back then.

And when How It's Done was leaked by Netflix, it exploded. People were practically calling Netflix, telling them to drop it early when the music video for it was released earlier than expected (Netflix had posted it early, but then realized the movie hadn't been released yet). To be honest, when I first heard it, that's when it really clicked that this movie was gonna be something special. Cause an intro song like that??? Yeah, we were destined for a good time.

Bonus 3 and one half: Ok, maybe I have watched the movie more than 15 times(be honest, who hasn't?), but there was one thing that I noticed that everyone continued to miss. This movie not only had the potential to be a decent kids' movie, but rather a great one, because it was clear from the start that this movie was made with real care. I think that's all anyone is asking when it comes to animated shows and movies, to really care about the story that will be told long after our screen goes dark.

I have to say, seeing all the records this movie is breaking makes me so emotional. I knew it was gonna be something special, I felt in my chest every time I saw a new trailer clip or Twitter going wild because a new frame from the movie dropped. This movie is for anyone who’s ever been scared to show their faults and fears to the people they love. And now look, people are loving it Loud and Proud just like I was when I first saw the trailer. I tear up a little every time I hear the movie breaks a new record cause I knew it was gonna be big, I just didn’t know how big. Y'all surprise me every day, so thank you for loving this movie as much as I do, after all

This convo between Mira and Rumi has been stuck in my head. Let's unpack it.

This specific scene has been living rent-free in my mind for weeks now. Let's break it down frame by frame. So, before Mira enters the room, Rumi is rewriting the lyrics to "Takedown" cause after having that conversation with Jinu, she's not too sure about the "a demon with feelings doesn't deserve to live" line. When she sings to herself, “When your patterns start to show, I see a pain that lies below", Rumi is once again talking about herself here, not the song. She’s been carrying this emotional baggage for years, and now she's not sure how much longer she can hold this secret to herself. But before she can ponder on the lyrics any further or her self-loathing, on stage left enters Mira, trying to check in on Rumi.

From the start, Mira was nervous. There is no direct eye contact, and her posture is stiff, already signaling this was harder for Mira to do than she'd like to admit. It shows that Mira has been trying to build the courage to check in on Rumi. Then she invites herself in, trying to play it cool.

Someone pointed this out on TikTok: Mira notices that Rumi hasn't drunk any of the tonics, and she's actively lying here, as Rumi says, "Who would've thought those tonics actually work". We know that the tonics are a scam and are actually grape juice, but Mira doesn't. Which is why I think this is something Mira was also planning to sweep under the rug with Rumi, even though she hates being lied to.

Here is when the shift happens: Mira can sweep everything under the rug: the weird behavior, not drinking the tonics, but changing their song lyrics??? That's one thing that brings them together and helps strengthen the Honmoon. This is what prompts Mira to start questioning Rumi and signals to Mira that something deeper is going on.

Rumi counters back with “Do you really think this is the best song to defeat gwi-mwa? It’s so hateful".

The song is hateful, having lyrics like "I'ma cut you open, lose control, then rip out your heart." But Rumi especially struggles singing the song since it’s a hate song about demons. Rumi is a half-demon, and she has to sing a song that condemns her existence. Every time she performs it, it reminds her of her self-hatred she has towards that side of herself that she has to hide from Mira, her band, and her fans.

Once again, Rumi's half-explanation still doesn't make sense to Mira because they are demon hunters. Demons hurt humans, so showing any sort of sympathy, especially to the demons that they fight every day to save human souls (or lives), is off limits. This is why Rumi's explanation sounds very off-putting to Mira; it's not just confusing, it's a hint of betrayal for the very thing they sacrifice their lives for.

This is when the Mira interrogation, or as I like to call it, "Mira and Rumi both know she's hiding the truth, but Rumi refuses to spill," conversation happens. From here, the conversation goes south quickly, with Mira bringing up the fact that she overheard her talking to a demon the other day.

Then she brings up the "woo Jinu" thing that happened at their fan meet and greet, an event to help them regain their popularity because the saja boys, their enemies, keep taking it away from them. What gets me here is Rumi's face as Mira mentions Jinu. Rumi looks like she got caught doing something wrong, even though technically she hasn't. She knows that no explanation will ease Mira's worries, so she says nothing again.

Mira says it outright," I can't shake this feeling that you're keeping something from me."

Her face says it all; she looks exasperated from all this weird stuff Rumi has been doing. Based on this expression, you also get the hint that this has been bothering Mira for a while, as she looks more irritated than angry. Rumi's facial expression, on the other hand, is way more humorous, as she attempts to hide Derpy's tail behind her before Mira sees it. She's once again covering up her many lies while telling Mira that she is, in fact, not lying... while lying. Rumi, I love you, but even in moments like this, it's hard to defend you while you're digging your own grave.

But this frame right here is pure cinematic gold for so many reasons. Rumi is obviously lying again here, but this time the audience sees what she's keeping from Mira. She's not hiding one but two secrets from Mira, both behind her back, one physically(derpy) and one emotionally(Jinu). Honestly, I do wonder why Mira never asked to see what was behind her back.

Then Mira attempts to crack a joke with Rumi about how she can't wait to send the demons to hell, where they're gonna suffer forever. She goes, "Right, Rumi?".

But Rumi doesn't laugh; in fact, Rumi's expression here haunts me low-key. She's not looking ahead, not catching Mira's eyes. It seems like she almost spaces out a bit when Mira made that comment, as if the joke hit a personal spot she's not willing to share about. She replies, "Yeah, Eternal suffering sounds fun," in the most monotone voice we've heard her use in this entire film. Truth to be told, I believe that in this moment, Rumi is thinking that the eternal suffering joke Mira made especially pertains to her, cause she's a half-demon, which undeniably sours Rumi's mood.

Mira's facial here says so much but so little. She looks like she is trying to figure out if Rumi had been lying to her again after they had just talked about her not being truthful to her. She's catching on to the fact that Rumi never showed her hands during the entire time they were speaking. It also looks like she realized that Rumi is still lying to her, but her face in the next frame breaks my heart a little.

I have to say Mira's expression here devastates me. Cause this time she knows Rumi is still lying to her. In some ways, she looks hurt, but is still in disbelief that her best friend would actually lie to her. If there's one thing this conversation revealed to us, Mira hates being lied to, but especially from people she considers family. Mira is used to being the rock of the group, so when Rumi begins lying to her, it makes her question how genuine her friendship with Rumi truly is, and that's what scares her.

So, yeah, Rumi, her bandmate and her best friend, feeling like she has to lie to her; it stings a bit. Rumi knows that Mira values the truth above anything else.

This conversation is one I haven't really seen any discourse on, so I just wanted to add my 2 cents on what I believe this scene was trying to say. Hope you enjoyed it!!!

When Jinu first came back to life, the first thing he said was "Rumi" in the most loving tone ever, and then he fainted.

Mira and Zoey didn't know Rumi even had a crush on Jinu until Rumi was like"so guys, what do u do when u have a crush on 400 year old ex-demon) Yes, Zoey choked on her Pad Thai

At first, they take it slow (Rumi's decision), but soon it's pretty obvious how down bad they are for each other (It drove Zoey and Mira insane how much they insisted that their "just friends")

Jinu always surprises her with flowers after a show, Rumi always tells him he doesn't have to, but secretly keeps all bouquet underneath her bed.

Rumi made his favorite meal for his birthday, full-on apron, recipe taped to the cabinet, “don’t talk to me, I’m measuring” energy. She shows up with a very packed container that smells like heaven on earth, and when Jinu opens it, he can't find the words to thank her. Jinu hadn't had that meal since his days in the palace. It was one of the few meals he actually enjoyed. Every time he tried to say thank you to Rumi once, twice, but the tears came first, Rumi didn't hesitate to pull him into a tight hug(she makes a silent promise to herself to do the meal every year or more )

Rumi is surprisingly the clingy one, even tho she insists that she isn't. Mira once saw Rumi yank Jinu's phone out of his hands, gently set it face-down on the floor, and then wordlessly guide his arm around her shoulders like it was the most normal thing in the world. To top it off, Rumi gave him a kiss on the cheek when he blinked in surprise, then proceeded to put her head on his shoulder.

Jinu isn't allowed at dance practice anymore after Rumi's demon marks glowed pink for 2 hours after he said, "looking good cho cho."

Jinu brings Rumi to the aquarium for their first date after she mentioned loving whales. They had their first kiss there. (They told me themselves, I was the jellyfish)

Rumi still struggles with saying "I love you" to Jinu. Instead, she asks him, "Did you eat today? Did you get enough sleep? Jinu knows the hidden meaning. always has.

They always cuddle together before falling asleep. It's become their thing in a way.

Rumi still has nightmares about Jinu dying in front of her. When she wakes up in cold sweat, Jinu is already wiping away her tears and murmuring, "I'm right here, I won't leave this time, I promise".

Rumi lockscreen is Jinu snoring while holding her hand, and Jinu lockscreen is Rumi taking a nap on derpy with a soft smile on her face.

It was Jinu who wanted to go public about their relationship first, but Rumi agreed after realizing she couldn't hold Jinu's hand in public. A couple of days later, Rumi posts a picture of Jinu wearing Huntrix merch with her face dead center on the sweater while grinning at the camera. She captions it "mine 🖤", it goes viral in 3 minutes.

Rumi has a playlist called"absolutely not about Jinu," and it's 110 % about Jinu. Mira found it on her phone. The first track??? The duet they made together. Which is somehow called "Free"

Jinu leaves encouraging sticky notes for Rumi on the days he sees her struggling with her demon marks. The messages differ from "babe, ur still hot either way" to "if anyone tried to make you feel bad about them, don't hesitate to text me so I can have a chat with them :)))"

Headcanons about Huntrix part 2!!!

thank you so much for all the love on the last one. Getting over 100 likes in one day is still pretty insane to me. I am very appreciative of all the love given on my last post, and I see your reblogs. You guys are funnyyyy🫶🏾🫶🏾

Let's jump right back to

Our Leader Rumi💜

-Has been homeschooled half her life, but did beg Celine to attend a private high school though,needed to see what having classmates was like at least once 😭

-personally handpicked Mira and Zoey actually fought for Mira place in the group(Celine thought her aggressive deminor would scare off fans)

-Whenever she replies to her fans on Twitter, she starts trending in the spam of 30 seconds. Yes, she counted once.

-HUGEEEE pinterest girlie,can spend hours making boards on the app.

-Still a workaholic but has tried to to tried to tone it down for the girls(they bullied her into taking Sundays off, she only complied cause they brought her favorite ice cream)

-The naps she takes on derpy are the best naps she's ever taken in her life. Also made a hat for derpy that he does wear!!

- Still blushes whenever Jinu is mentioned(Mira and Zoey keep count. It's currently at: 85)

-Always in the gym at the crack of dawn convinces Mira to join her sometimes(Zoey sleeps like the dead and always complains about waking up early).

-Felt the honmoon in Mira, which is why she fought for her to stay in the group(one of the few times her aunt said yes)

-The first time Mira and Zoey saw her hair out of her usual braid, they didn't recognize her at first, cue them to try to fight her in the kitchen at 3 AM until Zoey was like Wait, Rumi???

-Started a clothing line based on comfort wear that always sold out. Designing it helped her feel more confident about showing her arms.

-Once liked a ship post about her and Jinu. In 2 minutes, #Rujinuisreal and #Rumiisinlove started trending on Twitter. She Refuses to like any post on her main except for Zoey and Mira's posts.

Next up is our Chorographer, Mira💖

-Has great aim, Zoey's weapon almost went to her instead, but Mira said her weapon felt "just right".

-Joins any conversation the second she hears the word “turtle.” No one knows why. It’s just a thing now.

-Once got caught sneaking ramen in the makeup trailer during a shoot. Both Rumi and Mira had to pry the ramen from her hands while she was getting her eyeliner done.

-When she's bored, she grabs Rumi and practices makeup on her(Rumi has stopped saying no; she just gives in because she knows Zoey can surprisingly throw hands when she wants to.)

-Yes, Bobby is her uncle, and the girls didn't know until she mentioned seeing him during Christmas vacation.

-is always shocked that people recognize her anywhere(she was a loner back in high school, and it baffles her).

-loves to go to skateparks and skate for hours. She once tried to get Mira to do it, but she fell so many times, Rumi picked it up freakishly fast, and Zoey is still suspicious to this day.

-Always tells her fans that they can vent to her in her dm, which leads to her phone overheating cause she gets so many(she tries to reply to all and feels bad that she can't)

-Zoey is the most likely to get noticed in public out of all three of them because of her personality. She's the type to wave and have long conversations with fans she meets on the street.

Group headcanons (cause you guys liked those a lot)

-A very long conversation happened at the penthouse after Rumi secret was revealed(lots of crying was done that day)

-It took a while for Rumi to become more social with the girls after growing up with just Celine. But then one day Zoey casually mentioned a song from her childhood that she liked, and suddenly Rumi became the biggest yapper known to mankind. She LOVED that song when she was younger. No one knows it better than her. From that moment on, something shifted, and Huntrix became the Huntrix we know and love from that day.

-Zoey is now banned from commenting under posts about turtles after she liked and commented on a post about turtles hatching on a beach and tagged both Mira and Rumi spam accounts. (They were not happy)

-There’s an old vlog they filmed during debut prep that never got released. Fans beg for it, but the girls say it’s “too powerful” to ever be seen (Zoey accidentally knocked over a light, Rumi confessed her fear of the ocean, and Mira almost broke her leg jumping on the bed).

-Rumi once tried to make breakfast for Mira for her birthday and almost burned the kitchen down. Zoey recorded the whole thing while panicking with Rumi. (Mira was up and aware of the chaos happening in the kitchen at 7 in the morning.)

-They take lots of selfies during rehearsal or even while making a song. They started making a scrapbook to save all their memories together.

First up, our leader Rumi 💜

-barley post cause her phone overheats from all the likes

-Last time she tried to do a live on Insta it crashed the app and her phone

-Her hair routine is a government-level secret; Zoey still hasn't figured out what she uses

-keeps every fan letter she ever received(yes even the one from 2019 with sparkles)

-writes poems about Jinu in her notes app at 3AM and refuses for anyone to see them

-is no longer allowed to drive ANYWHERE for personal reasons

-Is actually the oldest (23), but no one ever guesses that—everyone assumes it’s Mira 😭

-Been dying to get a tattoo but hasn't because the record label said "absolutely not"

-is a world-renowned model and has been in too many fashion shows to count

-showing up to the Met Gala with a sleeping bag was planned, she just didn't expect for it to go viral though

1. "Rumi will have a mental breakdown somewhere in the movie. "

Not only was I right about this, but Rumi ended up having numerous breakdowns in the movie. Girlie was going through it, and let's be honest...so was I.

2. "The Saja boys end up winning Idol of the year OR They win something that jepardises the girls' fame."

✅️ I WAS RIGHTTTT

They also stole our hearts during the "MY Idol" song. I've seen way too many edits of this performance on my fyp.

3." The main Trio has a really bad argument that may make them go their separate ways for a while".

I got this one both right and wrong. The girls did have a bad argument, but they did not disband(which is good. We need the next Huntrix album NOW).

4." A lot of fans end up switching sides from Huntrix to Saja Boys."

✅️ Unfortunately, I was right about this one. The Saja boys ended up taking half of Huntrix fans. I blame Soda Pop.

5. "During the Saja Boys' performance, the fans will be used to take their souls away as some part of ritual."

I'm thinking that this takes place right before their manager walks in. It's clear that no one is aware that girls are demon hunters, so they would have to hide the fact that their hurt. Which leaves me to wonder what happens when the girls get seriously injured during a fight?? What happens then??. It makes so much sense that the bruises that they get would need to be hidden constantly. But based on the trailer, Bobby(Their manager) seems very supportive of the girls, so I wonder why they would have to hide this secret from him out all people.

They pause and wait for Rumi to join in. This waiting period, even though it lasts about two seconds, is very important; it shows that both girls still wait not only for Rumi to join in but for Rumi to agree with the chaos they are about to cause.

For example, Rumi looks at Zoey like "you're back to your antics again huh?" Then she looked at Mira like "I expected this from her, but from you??? "And then she joins in. This also ties in to Rumi being someone they genuinely look up to because they value and rely on her opinion for how the group moves forward.

Even for this scene, where they are all watching the Saja boys. Look at their faces before Rumi says, "Let's go get these guys." Both Mira and Zoey are clearly still forming their own opinion about the Saja boys.

Then, after Rumi says, "Let's go get those guys," both Mira and Zoey share a confident look because they agree with Rumi. Not only that, but it's clear that they trust her judgment because there's no argument about whether they should go after the Saja boys or not.
