thinking im finally getting close to finishing the mg2 chapters of this fic vs. realising I didnt actually properly introduce the whole nr 1 fan thing- back to the document i go.

going insane about metal gear 2 again because they really could have gone so much harder with the whole 'does being a soldier make you unable to do anything else?' thing like sure, we got Fox as Snake's foil in the story but what about Gustava who was pulled into becoming a spy for her country as a punishment because all other jobs were suddenly unavailable to her because she tried to flee to the West, what about Holly who saw the horrors of war as a war journalist and wanted to do more to help people and the CIA just. got her thrown into the middle of this without ever seemingly handing her any proper training for this kind of mission. They briefly touch upon this (with Gustava. kind of) but never truly commit to it and I am gonna start chewing glass about it

I made this a couple days ago but only added more to it today! i now consider it finished.

This a little based on an Ocelhira fic I read that is set during the 9 year gap ( "I hope they never understand us" by theArchduchess) where they’re trying to work together and the girls argue like every chapter.

Kaz is an emotional bomb and doesn't understand how Ocelot can keep his composure when he supposedly has a 'special connection' with Big Boss. What he doesn't know is that Ocelot has a lot going on behind the scenes.

He's also hard headed and stubborn when it comes to his ideas/decisions to make money + gets angry when Ocelot refutes his ideas and thats basically how the animatic starts

trying to explain to a friend where to start with metal gear like well you can start with metal gear- no, not metal gear solid, thats a different game, but you can start with that one too (Im so sorry mg and mg2 I love you but you're so old now), no, not the twin snakes remake even though its newer, no its not better. some people straight up start with metal gear solid V because its the newest but uh ... I do not recommend that. if you want to start from the earliest game in the timeline you'd have to start with metal gear solid 3 (dont do this-) if you manage to get through any of that we can continue to talk about stuff like portable ops and peace walker- wait where are you going?
