Idk if this is too niche but if you’ve ever listened to or watched the musical Jesus Christ Superstar there’s a song called Gethsemane (I only want to say) and it’s about Jesus singing to god when he’s about to die and as I was reading The Burning Maze it kept playing in my head because it reminds me so much of Jason Grace in relation to being Hera’s champion and Zeus’s son and that makes me sad

Reading Tyrants Tomb and it just mentioned something about how Frank was insecure and I just started rocking back and forth saying “my Shayla” over and over again

“Piper was a pick me” Or she was a child who was close to the beauty industry all of her life because of her dads occupation and when she grew up she grew to despise it because she hated everything about her dads acting. *And* the first person she met was Drew, who was extremely vapid and nasty towards her and personified all the things she hated about the beauty industry in the first place, which Drew and her character is a whole seperate argument. “The way she acted towards Aphrodite being her mom was pick me behavior” It wasn’t how Piper acted it was how the CAMP acted. In one of the earlier PJO books, Percy mentions that the Aphrodite kids sit out on everything to do their makeup and gossip. This behavior was not at all unique to Piper but for some reason this fandom despises women and likes to make it seem like their flaws make them irredeemable characters.

I like to imagine that camp half blood has a resident domesticated animal. Like a cat that just roams around and doesn’t really belong to one cabin. Every now and then he pops up and they’re like “oh and this is Jerry. He isn’t magical in the slightest we honestly don’t know how he got in here.” It then becomes a competition to see what cabin Jerry comes to the most. It isn’t clear who is winning, but it’s clear that Percy is loosing because the cat registers him as a fish and wants to eat him.

I really don’t like people who take fandom too seriously. I feel like too many people got involved during covid and now try to make it not fun. Like who cares if the design isn’t canon? Who cares that they made a fanart where they made the character black that’s canonically described as pale skinned? How does that affect your life and enjoyment of the character? It’s okay if you don’t agree with someone’s head cannon or design, bc that design isn’t yours. But it isn’t okay when you harass someone for something that isn’t in any way harmful.

I love Solangelo and Percabeth. Those ships have me head over heels. Do I care if someone doesn’t like those ships? No!! I really don’t. As long as they let me like it without desperately trying to change my mind bc it’s “boring” or “they didn’t need a relationship” I’m fine with them not liking it. I’m not a huge fan of a lot of ships, but if I see a post about it or a fic, you wanna know what I do? I don’t kick up a storm in the notes or comments. I scroll. Because it really is that fucking easy.

There’s a whole separate talk on book vs show character designs. Me personally, I adopt the book character designs because I haven’t watched the show because watching shows that aren’t completed isn’t something I typically do. Do I see fanart and get upset because they used the TV show character designs? No! I go “oh that’s a nice piece of fanart” like, then scroll. Like yall are fr hating on kid actors for not matching the book, and it’s hella embarrassing. It makes you seem pretentious and weird. I have seen no people scream and cry because someone uses the book designs and not the tv show designs. I’m sure it’s happened, but from what I’ve seen, it’s rare.

TLDR: stop being a fandom snob and sucking the fun out of it for everyone

Head cannon of the day: Will Solace’s toes are always out and once Nico gets online (which is inevitable since he knows the song Montero) he’s constantly begging him to put them away. He even buys him new closed-toe shoes but Will only wears them on special occasions.

Then Nico realizes that Apollo only ever wears sandals (pre and post Lester) and curses him for giving his boyfriend the gene to always need his dogs to be out.

Will, of course, has no fucking clue why Nico hates his sandals.

Hear me out. I’m writing a fanfic idea where Edward and Bella aren’t together, but Edward is AroAce and has trouble making friends because of the mind reading thing. He meets Bella and he’s like “oh shit. she’s cool” and they become besties. She gets adopted by the Cullens. James happens, but they never meet Victoria, and Victoria is trying to infiltrate Bella’s ranks to get close to her and kill her but because they never met her, they don’t know she’s evil. But as she gets closer to Bella, she actually realizes that she sorta kinda likes her. (I will be giving Bella more of a personality and backbone)
