Hey guys, I was hoping if y’all could help a fellow studyblr out 😁
So in October, I was selected in a delegation to go to Geneva, Switzerland for the 32nd Session of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) which is mid-January 2019. For those of you unsure what the UPR is, it is a United Nations (UN) mechanism which monitors the human rights in each recognised state of the UN (yes, all 193 recognised states, including DPRK). But anyways, the reason for this delegation to go the UPR and watch the review of our country, New Zealand, and do a research project which relates to New Zealand in a particular sector of society. So far, I think my research project is going to be based on indigenous rights, how they can improve for Māori, and which countries we can look at for more ideas to improve Māori and Pasifika stats here.
Our delegation is 7 young women who are all currently at university, at different stages of studying and funding this trip is a bit of a struggle. The total cost of it is $5515 NZD ($3739.36 USD) which covers flights, accommodation and 3 meals across the 2 and a half weeks we are in Geneva. We have set up a givealittle page (New Zealand version of gofundme) to aid us in paying for our trip.  So if you guys are in a position to, or know anyone or any organisations or companies willing to put some money towards funding 7 young women to go on a trip of a lifetime, and experience the United Nations and how one of its mechanisms works, then please direct them towards this page and get donating 😁💗 Also, peep the cute photo of myself and the amazing group of future leaders I am going on this amazing experience with ✈️🇨🇭

Happy Sunday!
I managed to get my dad to give me some more notebooks (even though I have enough already rip) and they were all yellow in some way or another, so I instantly thought about my spreads from June which were all yellow.
Yellow really is such a happy color, wow.

welcome back! we missed you!
Tumblr media
Hey everyone and welcome to my brand new studyblr. I am really excited for this because earlier I was @toughstudy which is now deactivated for some personal reasons. So if some of you who can recognize me, “hi!” to them !!
The reasons why I started this blog:
Firstly it’s mainly cause I love the people disguised as angels in this community…I mean it’s not very often you make friends with bloggers having kept their identities safe in spite of saying so many things about them carefreely. I love this whole community and I deeply appreciate that I am here among this little world of mine
I am going to be appearing for, my ICSE exams (like GCSEs) next year and its pretty nerve-wracking
I wanted to motivate myself to study and that’s also another reason why I’ve re-created this blog
I have been doing fairly well in school but I still wanna get better in it, of course, to get a good job and chase my dream
My dream job id becoming a lawyer because it pains me to see and even resist social inequalities prevailing in this world
my favorite subjects are English, history, geography, biology, and physics
studyblrs who inspire me are @eintsein @piiess @studyquill @studywithinspo @mathematicals @kuroristudies @studyelement @alanstudy @emmastudies @luxestudies @clicheorganiser @timewindstudies @inayastudies @elk-ken @geneplans @rhinestudy @rhinestudy

help me pass rip
hey everyone!
so, as you might know, I live in India. This year, I’ve shifted to a school that is a center for AP tests. However, there’s a slight problem.
My school only offers classes for five tests.
However, I’m interested in taking way more than five, so, being the overambitious idiot I am, I’ve decided to self-study for the courses my school doesn’t offer.
On top of this problem, AP is not a part of our curriculum. It’s treated as something “extra” and isn’t even included in a normal school day, so I’m going to have to balance normal school and AP.
Anyways, this year, I’m planning on taking 3 AP courses: AP English Lang, AP English Lit, and AP Microeconomics.
So, here’s where I’m going to ask you for help. Can anyone who’s taking these courses in an actual AP Audited course share what assignments they get, and practice papers and stuff like that with me? I’d be really grateful and I’d cry over the stress with you too
I really want to take these courses, and with actual material that’s not just an online course or my review book would help me a lot.
Studyblr has always been such a great and supportive environment, and I’m hoping someone can help.
(I’m going to tag a few studyblrs so that I can get a boost because this means a lot to me)
@studyquill @hufflepuffwannabe @luxestudy @studyblr @studyign @tbhstudying @studytherin @athenastudying @focusign @procrastilate @emmastudies
Thank you all so much.
Keep hustling!

Hey everyone! As you probably know, I’m a tenth grader in a CBSE school right now, and I wanted to give all the students who entered ninth grade some advice!
Most of this would probably apply to the ninth grade equivalent of any school system but there are some things which may only apply to CBSE schools.
here we go:
STUDY
I’m going to warn you right now, subject material will get more complicated. Don’t be fazed by it, it’s actually quite simple when you get down to the basics. It’s basically embellishing everything you’ve learnt in middle school, and giving you extra information on it.
What I’m trying to say is, TRY AND KEEP YOUR MIDDLE SCHOOL BOOKS (especially for Math and Science!!!)
Please, please, PLEASE pay attention in Chemistry. Especially during the third chapter with the mole concept and valency charts and all of that. I, unfortunately, had the bad luck of being stuck with a chemistry teacher who was absolutely, completely and horrendously bad less than perfect, which ended up messing up my TENTH grade chemistry. Please. Pay attention to Chemistry, even if it’s your best subject. It WILL come back to haunt you.
For Math, please keep track of all the formulae you’ve learnt in past years. Remember them, they’ll come up later. You’ll show up to a test on algebraic functions, and realise you need the formula of a cylinder. Keep. Track. Of. Your. Formulae.
Talking about tests, figure out your mark distribution. I’ve made a post discussing CBSE’s current marking system, but you should also find out how MANY tests you will have, as numbers vary.
Social Science (History, Political Science, Geography, Economics) is a soul-sucking subject which deserves no love ever requires a lot of memorisation techniques, so I’d suggest making various types of notes for it from the beginning of the year.
Chapters to look out for:
Sound (Physics)
Ch-3,4 (Chemistry)
Biodiversity in Living Organisms (Biology)
Russian Revolution (History)
Climate (Geography)
EVERYTHING in Hindi (sorry I’m terrible at Hindi)
Polynomials (Math)
Get people to ask you questions! If you aren’t sure if you Truly know something, hand your notes to your mom and tell her to ask you everything.
Read your book. Read Your Book. READ YOUR BOOK.
Here’s the most important part. Your grades WILL drop. I promise you, no matter how great of a student you are, your grades will drop. People told me this before I started high school and I didn’t believe them, but it’s true. I entered high school as an A+ student and by the first unit tests my Social Science, Hindi and Maths marks had dropped to Bs. I later ended up pulling my shit together and got my grades back up to an A+, but the grade drop is a well known and horrible phenomena. Prepare yourself as best as you can. Work hard and become one of the lucky few who may avoid it.
SOCIAL LIFE
You’re going to go through changes in friendships. It’s totally okay.
You’ll meet some great people and some not so great people! Try to learn from all of them!
Don’t feel pressured to be in a relationship because it’s cool, or somebody likes you. Focus on you. Do what makes you happy.
You’re going to make mistakes. You’re gonna lead someone on, or hurt someone’s feelings or make someone feel small. Take responsibility, and learn from it.
BUT! Don’t blame everything on yourself either! Sometimes, people are toxic and you need to leave them right there! remember, do no harm but take no shit.
Go out and have some fun. Go to a coffee shop with your friends, spend a whole afternoon sleeping in your friend’s bed as they study. You’re going to make unforgettable memories.
+MISC
Deodorant!
Find a good skincare routine that makes you feel fresh.
If you like instrumental music while studying and harry potter, play an instrumental playlist from 8tracks or something and put on an ambient room in the background (harry potter common rooms are amazing!) my personal fave combo is this ravenclaw playlist and this ambient room . Don’t want harry potter? There’s a bunch of ambient rooms. This one is another one of my faves.
Start paying attention to certificates and stuff you get. Write them down somewhere!
DO ALL THE FUN STUFF THIS YEAR. RUN FOR COUNCIL. LEARN A LANGUAGE. THIS IS T H E YEAR.
Take care of your health, mental and physical.
It’s never as bad as it seems.
I believe in you!
Now, go ahead and enjoy your freshman year!

Hey everyone! I know I’ve been inactive for a pretty long time, but I promise I have a reason! I just moved across the country, and the school I shifted to starts early, so I missed 3 months of work in board year. Thankfully, I managed to catch up, and I’m back now! I’m now in tenth grade, i.e. a sophomore in high school, and I will be giving my boards this year. Stay tuned, because I have a lot of plans with this blog! Take care of yourselves and be productive!

Hi! So recently I had been feeling extremely unmotivated (which is actually why I made this studyblr!), but I have since overcome this slump and decided to make this post to help others do the same!
Be kind to yourself If you’ve just hit a motivation slump your first focus should be making sure you’re doing fine mentally. Often times the reason behind demotivation is that you’ve been pushing yourself too hard and have burned-out. If this is the case and you can, I strongly recommend you to take some time off to rejuvenate and figure out to what the reason behind your slump is. If you can identify the problem, you’ve taken the first step towards solving it. Taking time for yourself every once in a while will help productivity in the long run, whilst pushing yourself too hard during times of feeling unmotivated will only make things worse later down the line. If you don’t have time/can’t take the time to do all of this, at least do something nice for yourself. Buy yourself a fancy coffee/new stationary/some flowers or go out with some friends. Just do something that’ll help destress you, it’ll help.
Set small goals After you’ve taken some time off, you need to get back out there! But don’t jump back in by studying for 10 hours straight right away, this will only help you to fall back into demotivation. Start out with something small, like studying for 10-30 minutes or going on a 15 minute run. After that you can do more if you feel up to it, but don’t push yourself if you don’t feel like it. Build up slowly and you’ll back where you were in no time! Promise.
Try to be healthy I know people say this all the time, but that’s because it’s true! Exercising and eating right makes you feel so much happier, confident and motivated. You’ll also be able to concentrate better which can make a world in your work ethic. Another thing that really helps with this is meditation. Try the headspace app, they have tons of sessions dedicated to motivation/stress/productivity and a whole lot more!
Other tips/reminders
Make a list of all the reasons why you’re in school. Just making it can you give you that much needed motivation boost!
Look at how far you’ve come already! You probably already have several years of academics under your belt; you’ve already come so far and overcame tons of hardships during that time. If you could get through all those years you can get through the current one.
If you’re seeing a therapist be sure to talk to them about your lack of motivation. Or if you don’t have one and your lack of motivation is becoming a serious problem try booking a few sessions.
Friendly competition is an incredible motivator! Compete with a friend or someone else from the studyblr community over grades, it can be a lot of fun. (Make sure it’s a friendly competition and you don’t actually get so invested in it that ‘losing’ makes you feel bad about yourself, that’s the opposite of what you want).
Make sure to take proper breaks in the future!
Self-discipline > motivation, building a solid routine will help during future motivation slumps, so get on that asap!
I know it sucks but sometimes it’s genuinely better to sacrifice one thing, in favor of productivity in all the other things you’re doing. Dropping one extracurricular activity if you have ten is not the end of the world and will give you more time to relax!
Reading up on successful people in your field and visualizing yourself as one of them is a great motivator imo.
Study less but study smarter!!
Ask your teachers for help if you’re struggling!! That’s what they get paid for and not understanding something won’t help your motivation.
