"It's Okay"

A/N: Here's a lil drabble! Reader is not described past having pains and discomfort and wearing socks. I was recently diagnosed with Costal Chondritis, which is inflamed rib cartilage and it basically feels like a lot of pressure. This drabble is just fluff and the discomfort is based off of what I feel :)

The discomfort can be anything if you wish, it does not have to be what it is based on!

You woke up with a grumble, chest already feeling as if a twenty pound cat sat on it. Each little movement made the constant pressure known, even every shift of your wife made it worse. Sevika, slept beside you, oblivious to the discomfort in your chest. The sunlight that poured through Zaun was as welcoming as it was blinding. Sheer curtains did nothing to block the light, making the discomfort worse.

With a whine, you finally wiggled out of bed, leaving Sevika snoring peacefully. Socked feet hit the shaggy carpet of your old apartment as you dragged yourself to the kitchen. The pressure seemed to rise, a pulsing and uncomfortable feeling as you plucked through the pill bottles on the kitchen counter. Once the small cog sized pile was in your palm, you raised the pills to your mouth before swallowing them with a chug of water.

Sleepy steps made you reach over to grab one of the few fresh muffins, tearing into it for a quick bite. Your appetite was nonexistent as you swallowed, throwing the rest away in the trash can by the kitchen entrance. Trudging your way back to bed, another whine tumbled past your cracked lips as the pressure refused to let up. The noise and shifting of sheets woke Sevika, gray eyes squinting as you tried to lay back down.

“What's wrong?” Her voice was heavy and dry from sleep, but the concern was still there. You only grumbled in response, talking feeling like too much. Sevika's eyes softened, catching on quick as she scooted towards you, flesh hand slinking up your chest. Cold, calloused skin laid against your sternum, the chill of her wedding band making you sigh as some pressure seemed to melt. “Shhhh, it's okay. I know it hurts..” She muttered gently, despite not knowing the discomfort herself.

With the pressure relieved, as the medicine kicked in, you finally felt comfortable enough to drift back to sleep. Snuggling up to Sevika, your eyes finally drifted closed as gentle fingers smoothed over the material of your pajama shirt.

A/N: Just a drabble to help me break into the Tumblr scene! It's rather gender neutral, using you/you're pronouns and it has been a while since I produced fanfiction, so I don't mind constructive criticism. I'm planning on making this a mini fic with sweettooth! Sevika :)

“For the last time, no!”

You laughed at Sevika as she grumbled on the other side of the couch that stood between them. The other woman glared, eyeing up the box of wrapped candy that was tucked to your chest.

“Why not? You aren’t gonna eat all of that sugary shit anyway.” Sevika rolled her eyes, making a grab for the box across the couch. With quick reflexes, and some luck, you stumbled backwards out of her reach with the box still in your grasp. Her bionic hand clutched the worn out couch, talon like fingers ripping new little holes you were sure to complain about later. Sevika’s flesh hand was bundled into a loose fist, drawing back to her body. The scariest woman of Zaun, your girlfriend, was pouting.

“You’ll just eat them all! Then your teeth will ache and your stomach will hurt.” You reasoned with the buff woman as you carefully side-stepped your way around the couch. Sevika’s movements mirrored yours, trying to see which way you’d take off. Silvery eyes glared at you, eyeing each movement and watching the box like a hawk. “Sev. Don't even think about it..”, you muttered, backing up as Sevika's grip on the couch tightened. Suddenly, she jumped over the couch, making you curse as you took off.

The floor of the apartment shook as Sevika landed, missing you by a few moments.

hi, i don't know if you've seen the statistics for the arab.org clicks but in the last quarter of 2023, they generated $380 for unrwa - not a huge amount in context of palestinians who need much more than that to leave gaza, but nobody had to donate those dollars. those were generated. and generally, they raise ~$100 per quarter, with most of it coming from their own bridging the gap of donations to make it worth it. i got curious and looked at the stats yesterday and just thought i'd point it out because i feel like people don't see the results of the "daily click" and maybe this would prove that it is actually well worth it. wishing you well <3

please reblog this. i've talked about this twice before, but obviously not everyone has seen it. i am calling for anyone who writes fanfiction or posts about a certain game/show/universe in any connective manner to please, please- PLEASE, copy this memo below comprising links to supporting palestine, education on the situation in gaza, and a must-need for those who engage in TLOU tumblr; links regarding the creators (neil druckmann) zionism, and how the plot of tlou2 is based on the israeli occupation of palestine. i don't care if what you write seems "insignificant" or "small" in the grouping of larger fics. no. everything that is not related to palestine in any form NEEDS these links. because, when we stray away from reblogging, or writing up our own posts in support of palestine/sharing journalists stories/etc. even for a SINGLE piece of writing, we could be missing people who are unaware (which, shouldn't be the case atp, but..) and fucking especially because in these fandoms, fics are the most popular thing. not reblogs about palestine, unfortunately; there are so many fanfiction accounts who very clearly don't give a fuck about the whole situation, seeping in silence, posting fics during strikes, not taking accountability for it now, so on and so forth. please, for the love of all that is good- CALL THEM OUT! people gaining hundreds of notes, tens of reblogs, supportive comments on a post that completely disregards what is happening SO BOLDLY right now, should irk you. i swear, if i see one more fuckass "i didn't know!" apology from an author who is CONSTANTLY on tumblr, REGULARLY posting fanfiction, i'm going to fucking lose it. if you are on tumblr to begin with, being this active- you have time to reblog. actually, educating yourself and reblogging is way quicker than writing up fanfiction of any length. are you fucking kidding me? you are laughable. comical, not real, and i have nay an ounce of respect for you. ever. but besdies that; the memo. i want everyone to copy this, or make something similar. put this above your summaries, authors note, whatever comes before the writing. every post you make should link back to supporting palestine, cause you never know how many eyes it will reach. it could change a lot of things. on pc, i believe copying it completely will preserve the links, but i'm not sure if mobile will. again. do whatever you can to add it. don't be lazy. put this in ur masterlists/navigation too.

March second is a day dedicated to a TOTAL SHUTDOWN for Gaza to reject the invasion of Rafah and to put an end to the Palestinian genocide. Prepare yourself for this date. Find a protest near you. Call your reps and yell at them. Be aggressive. You can find protest near you with the site shutitdown4palestine.org . SPREAD THE WORD. A total shut down means TOTAL shut down, don’t post anything unrelated to Palestine, call in sick to work or school (if you can), go to a protest. Buy groceries and necessities beforehand and DONT SHOP ANYWHERE ON MARCH 2ND.
