Heyyyyy it’s almost time for my fifth annual Pride Dice drop! I choose a new style every year and this year’s style is nail stamping in colorful shells. Dice will drop in my shop Sunday, June 15 at 12pm, and I’m donating 30% of sales all month to Trans Lifeline!
I didn’t make it to all of the designs I hoped to do in time, so there still may be another set or two trickling out the rest of the month (looking at you, Trans Pride dice!).

I had over 10,000 followers on my original blog and now I am down to under 100.
Most of my sales came through tumblr directly.
Please reblog this post so people know I am back!

I was at a craft fair and someone wanted to buy a tiny bottle I’d filled with mosses and dried florals and a tiny paper bat specimen, and they told me it was a gift for their friend who loves bats. So I offered up my favorite bat fact, which is that now that the technology exists to fully track them, scientists have learned that bats do not in fact perfectly avoid each other while flying but instead bounce off each other plenty of times, which gives me so much joy. And the person tipped me an extra $2 in Venmo and labeled it Bat Facts.
In case you ever wonder if your tumblr-earned knowledge will pay off.

35% OFF FOR THE REST OF THE MONTH
I didn't mention it here but last Thursday (5/1/25), my husband was admitted to the hospital for gallbladder-induced acute pancreatitis, and it was very scary - his lipase levels were literally off the charts at >40,000 (normal range being 0-160 u/L) - and he had his gallbladder out on Sunday. He is home and well and doing great, but alas. I have bills to pay and I refuse to let him work until he is back to 100%.
I ordered a bunch of fragrances and hopefully they will be here next week.
I know money is tight for almost everyone right now, so even if you can't order anything, reblogging this will help a lot. Also clicking through the link will boost my shop on Etsy, and that is also free! So thank you so much, I appreciate it.
Also, if you have "incredibly painful stomach pain that you think is heartburn but nothing is helping to relieve it" and you still have a gallbladder, PLEASE get your levels checked or go to the ER. It could be that a gallstone got stuck in a duct and is causing the pancreas to literally destroy itself, and sadly, the pancreas is one of those important organs. Other symptoms include the yellowing of your urine or your eyes, skin, fingernails, which indicate jaundice. Which is ALSO a medical emergency.

It’s spring craft fair season and the weather is causing problems (looking at you, thunderstorms and wind gusts). Some events have still happened, but today’s festival got canceled last minute, so instead there are new dice in the shop and an automatic 15% off everything today and tomorrow. Find ‘em here!

The first craft fair of the season was this weekend and it's an event I love, but there were intense wind gusts that made it really rough (to the point that my tent buckled and broke, and my wife's tent broke and her displays blew over so much she had to take down her entire setup and end less than an hour into the event). However. I want to share a few of the lovely human interactions that truly gave me joy.
The man who approached me to buy a single die right as my wife realized her tent needed to come down ASAP before it fully collapsed, and rather than being impatient, this lovely human ran over and held her tent in place until we could get everything down safely.
A child who ran over to ask if I was the same person who was selling lizards made with my leftover resin that she had talked to last year (that's absolutely me), which gave me joy because she not only still has the little lizard, but she remembered our conversation of how I made them.
The preschool-age child who noticed that some of my dice have words in them and insisted her adult read every single one to her because *words* are *fun*.
The number of people who got incredibly excited at my "roll a nat 20, get 20% off" sign and roped their entire friend group into cheering on their rolls. The nat 20 moments were epic.
The child whose adult was vending across from me and came over just to hang out and chat about every half hour, occasionally bringing other people over to narrate his favorite thing about different sets. He was delighted that the d20 he got was named "Current" and we bonded over our mutual love of being in water and the color blue.
The parents who announced they were buying a 40mm Heckin Chonk and to tell me which one just pointed at their toddler in a stroller who was clutching her massive die with glee. Gotta start the dice hoarding early.
The person who heard me explaining to someone that a quote in a miscellaneous die was from Twilight and screamed and came running to look. There were so many loud exclamations and apologies for being too much, and let me tell you, it made my day. They bought two of the remaining Twilight dice, then we realized we both had the same first name spelled the same way so I gave them a bonus Twilight die. Let's be honest, no one else will love it like that.
I don't really have a point to sharing all of this, other than that sometimes I need a reminder that people are endlessly wild and fascinating and full of so much potential for kindness.

Ahhhhh, as a fellow knitter the idea of this spindown being used to track rows makes me so happy! I’m glad you love it!
Does anyone know of a place that sells pretty spindown dice? I've been looking for one for reasons, but so far I'm only finding really plain ones.

Many of us only have the ability to make spindown d20s or counter d6s at the moment, but consider handmade dice makers!

Hi friends! I’m running a giveaway on my insta to celebrate 5 years since I made my first d20, so I wanted to make sure my tumblr folks know about it too! It’s open now, and I’ll draw a winner April 13 2025 at 5pm EST!
The set I’m giving away is a new design inspired by tiny ivy leaves I found in my backyard that I dried and decorated to look like the Leaves of Lorien brooches from The Lord of the Rings. I was also able to make a few extra d20s and a 30mm and 40mm chonk d20, so those will go up in a regular dice drop.

It’s Pride Geode time!!!
Every year I design a series of Pride Flag-inspired dice and release them in June, but last year’s original plan turned out to have too steep of a learning curve to finish in time so I made a different style with plans to come back to the style eventually.
However.
I’ve finally finished all 14 designs of geodes inspired by Pride flags, and with the state of the US the way it is right now, I’m doing a special drop and donating 30% of profits to Trans Lifeline. Dice will go up on my site at 5pm EST on March 23, and will be available to preview…soon, once I make the listings.
Tumblr media
Without further ado, here are the designs! I’ll have to split them into two posts because of the photo limit. And disclaimer: obviously there are far more than 14 Pride flags. I tried to get broad representation but am only one human so made as many as I felt capable of; also some of the flags are similar enough in color that they wouldn’t have been distinguishable in this style.
Bi Pride
Tumblr media
Philadelphia Pride (rainbow)
Tumblr media
Ace Pride
Tumblr media
Agender Pride
Tumblr media
Enby Pride
Tumblr media
Genderfluid Pride
Tumblr media
Queer Pride

The other 7 designs will be in the reblog!

I stalled out on Bells Hells back before the Solstice and really haven't had the energy/enthusiasm to catch up, but I adored Calamity and am seeing all kinds of intriguing things from Divergence, so I think I'm going to listen to Downfall and Divergence on their own. It remains to be seen if they'll inspire their own dice designs. :)
