A dream come true!!!!
I finally got a treadmill! I have always wanted one and now I finally do!!! I will say that so far it's amazing! I love getting up and hopping on the treadmill without having to drive 15 minutes to the gym and dealing with machine hogs! I really know that my 24/7 access will help in training to run a 5K again!!!

Great breakfast to start off the day....
Grapefruit, oatmeal and coffee to start off my day! So far this new year has been so great health wise! I've been working out (jogging and small weights and body weight workouts) and eating healthier! I gained about 7 lbs over the holidays, I went out of town for thanksgiving and Christmas so it was almost impossible to eat healthy and I did not workout! So far with eating healthy and working out, I managed to lose about 5 of those holiday pounds and now I am close almost back to normal and ready to dive into my main focus for 2013: TONE TONE TONE! I'm not going to worry about losing weight, just toning my body and becoming more firm while keeping my curves! What are your resolutions?

Down 5 !!!
So I'm down 5 lbs and have been for the last week and a half or 2! I want to make sure I'm consistent before I post anything! I have been walking and jogging 1.2 miles each 3-4 days a week and just trying to eat considerably healthy despite Halloween candy being EVERYWHERE!!!

Down 2.6 lbs!
So I'm down 2.6 lbs! It has taken forever but I'm so excited! Today I ran (jogged) 1.2 miles in 15 minutes, not too bad but I can do better! Did I mention I did this in the rain? Part of my slow time was that I was trying not to slip and fall, and my ankle was bothering me, but that didn't stop me! It's crazy how you can run so much faster on the treadmill! I need to build my endurance!

Starting to run (jog) again!!!
I walked 1.2 and ran 1.2 miles today! I haven't ran in a few weeks so it felt really good! I hope to keep it up so that I won't get out of shape again :)

Seriously, “before and after” pictures can be so misleading!!!!
This picture was taken the same day (today) different camera angle, different outfit and in the second picture I am tightening my abs but it looks like a huge difference, and I’m the same size! It’s crazy!!!

You can always use more Kettle Bell!!!
I had blood drawn this morning so I saved my workout for this afternoon and this was a good one! Today, I did my usual bodyrock.tv video "Fitness is Sexy" which includes the following: 20 seconds work 10 seconds rest repeated 3 times Prisoner Jacks Squat and Kick Jump Overs Squat Touch Floor Jumps Squat and Side Lift Mountain Climbers Be sure to check out some bodyrock videos! www.bodyrock.tv Then I moved on to Kettle bell exercises! I bought 3 kettle bells over a year ago 10, 15 and 20 lbs. I haven't used them much, but lately I have been looking up exercises to incorporate them and I found some great stuff! I did 2 rounds of the following: 20 two handled kettle bell swing 15lbs 20 one handed kettle bell swing ( each hand) 10lbs 20 2 arm kettle bell row 15lbs Kettle bell high pull 20 each 15lbs Kettle bell front squat 20 15lbs Kettle bell lunge press 20 10lbs 20 regular crunches 20 regular situps I can feel the burn and I know I'll be super sore tomorrow and I love it! Be sure to look up the kettle bell exercises or share some that you use!!!

On my feet all day= exhausted!!!
Today was my first full day of student teaching with students! I'm teaching kindergarten, and those guys are exhausting!!! I was on my feet all day, even during lunch and I'm feeling it! I ate a pretty balanced diet all day including carrots, a pear (my fave) and lots of water!!! This evening, I didn't eat the best dinner, (a sloppy joe) but I did an 18 minute bodyrock.tv video and followed it up with crunches, squats, lunges and 5 min of jump rope. (remember when jumping rope was so easy? It is not so easy anymore!) One trick that works for me, is not eating after 6 pm. Sometimes if I have a big dinner, I won't eat after 5pm (it just depends) Just try to give your body time to work off your last meal, before you go to bed!

Oh no PASTA!!!!
I had some pasta today and white bread at dinner, but I made sure I had a crazy workout this evening to make up for it!!! ( I ate pretty heathy overall today, so it's all about being responsible and making good choices most of the time. ) I did the hot butt workout on www.bodyrock.tv see below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlCz_INSAIg&sns=em After this video, I did 10 minutes of jumping rope, 60 crunches, 60 lunges and 60 squats! Feeling the BURN!!! :)

Sunday Sunday Sunday!
Today I saved my workout for this evening and here is what I did: First, I did a bodyrock video (sexy friggin body) www.bodyrock.tv 6 rounds, 25 seconds per exercise 5 second rest in between each move: Low jacks Bicycle Dancing crab Ninja tuck jump I felt like I needed more, so I did another video (sexy satisfaction workout) www.bodyrock.tv 3 rounds, 45 seconds each : Push ups Squat and punch V ab roll Squat, press and tuck jump (using 15lb kettle bell) Then I did 5 min jump rope Next, I completed 2 sets of the following: 20 crunches 20 lunges 20 squats 20 upright row 15 lb kettle bell 20 chest press with lateral fly 20 triceps extensions I ended the workout with another 5 min jump rope Feeling pretty good!!! For my diet today, I tried to be really good and I actually logged everything on the myfitnesspal app and I realized how many calories I am actually taking in, when I think I am eating healthy! I am definitely going to watch what I am eating closer for now on, so I am more aware! Thanks for reading, your advice or ideas would be welcome

This is great to remember when reaching for a snack, fruits are filled with so many nutrients and you get a lot more for 100 cals than you would get from a processed snack!
