I had a few headcanons on Ribbit, like them being gender-fluid, or Jax calling them Ribs, but turns out these hcs already exist out there. So here's a new concept: Human Ribbit with blepharoptosis (droopy eyelid?)

Yeah this is actually a completely random Ribbit human design I came up with at night. Might be very OOC, but hey, we know literally nothing abt them

Also I hope I drew blepharoptosis correctly?? And I really hope no one finds this offensive??? I actually thought it was called a lazy eye, but turns out it's a different thing

Part 2 of TADC theories after rewatching the whole show

3. In episode 2, after Gumigoo finds out that he's an NPC, Pomni tries to cheer him up, and when asked why she's trying to do so (how does it benefit you?), she says that she doesn't want anyone to feel like they're nothing, or not a real person. Well, who else feels like "not an actual person"?

The parallels between Gumigoo and Jax are pretty noticeable, once you rewatch episode 2 and 6. Gumigoo has an existential crisis when finds out he's an NPC, but accepts it, and decides to keep living, after Pomni cheers him up, and invites him to the circus. However, Gumigoo is then destroyed. Jax however, IS an actual person (probably), but instead of facing it, he hides behind his mask of a "character", not willing to accept the truth. Acting like himself and everyone around are just archetypes or characters, and making everything he can, so that it stays that way, and his delusions aren't destroyed.

Pomni isn't stupid, she knows what Jax is doing. As she mentioned in ep 2, she doesn't want anyone to feel like nothing / not an actual person. But what will she do, if the person who she's trying to save, doesn't want to face the truth, and their whole sanity is being held by lies and delusions? What if they cannot be saved?

Alright, too much Jax, let's move on

4. Who arrived after Ribbit abstracted? I'm not saying that a new person arrives each time someone abstracts, I'm just thinking about it. (GooseWorx mentioned that Ribbit abstracted right before Kaufmo)

Jax mentioned in ep 6, that he and Gangle always go on team adventures together, but if I had to guess, Jax probably went on team adventures with Ribbit (before they abstracted). Now. Many people think that Jax and Kaufmo were also close at some point, then why wasn't Jax on a team with Kaufmo? And here's 3 possibilities that I can think of:

A. Kaufmo is actually the one who arrived after Ribbit abstracted, but couldn't be at the circus for long, and went insane very quickly. That would explain why Jax looked so mad/upset when looking at Kaufmo's door, and why he wouldn't want to go with them on team adventures, since they "replaced" Ribbit.

B. Gangle arrived after Ribbit. Actually I think it's the lowest possibility out of three. Even though it would explain Jax's grudge towards her, I think the way he treats her is more because he thinks her archetype is "the sad one", and he tries to make it stay that way. So after Ribs abstracted, Jax started taking Gangle on team adventures, since for some reason, he didn't want to be on a team with Kaufmo (arguement?)

C. Zooble arrived after Ribbit. For some reason, this version seems the most believable to me. Zooble just seems as someone who has only recently arrived at the circus, and that would mean that Gangle and Kaufmo were there before them. Then Jax just chose the weakest person, or someone who he can easily manipulate, while again, for some reason, not choosing Kaufmo.

Uhh sorry if it's confirmed who arrived after who, I don't check all Gooseworx posts. But yeah, that's it I think

I forgot about the theory post, alr here we go (things I have noticed while rewatching TADC)

(THIS IS PART 1, since I can't fit all images :( )

1. Kinger actually showed signs of knowing a lot of stuff about the circus even before the 6th episode (the butterfly). At the end of episode 1, Kinger talks about how food in the circus works, and Jax is actually surprised by him knowing so much.

K: Well, not really, 'cause we don't need to eat, drink, or sleep in this digital world. So the digital food here only gives off the virtual sensation of eating without any of the nutritional benefits.

J: Sheesh, lay off it. Since when are you an expert on the digital world?

K: Expert on what?

At the beginning of episode 3, when Pomni is trying to hold her breath, but struggles with it, despite knowing that they can't die from oxygen deprivation, she mentions that it still "feels like dying". Kinger tells her to try "not thinking about it", which would technically work, if we remember episode 6, and how their minds and thoughts actually affect how the circus works (cartoon logic, how Pomni was able to shoot impossibly cool shots when she calmed down, how Ragatha somehow took Jax's life by using the cartoon logic, Kinger and his 'made up' butterfly, etc). Though I would also mention, that in the same situation, Jax tells Pomni that she could "toughen up", therefore foreshadowing episode 6 and his mindset. He basically told her to choose herself a tough archetype, to make her life in the circus easier.

2. Episode 6 dialogue with Jax

J: Look, I know what it's like. One day, you're somebody in the real world doing important things. And then, the next, you're just a weird little cartoon... Jester. You want to hold onto that part of you that still thinks it's part of that world, but in the end, what does it get you?

The pause implies that Jax wanted to say "rabbit", and not "jester". It might look like he's just guessing what Pomni feels/thinks, but he's actually speaking from experience. He wanted to hold onto his "human part", hoping he could go back, but in the end, he just gave up, and adopted his "archetype" mindset.

Uhhhh thoughts on TADC previous episodes, since I'm rewatching them rn (maybe gonna make a separate post once I finish watching)

1. Second episode, during Pomni and Gumigoo's talk, Pomni mentions something like "I don't want you to feel that way, I don't want anyone to feel like they're nothing", then Gumigoo says something like "I am not even a real person", and I just realized..... The parallels with Jax?? Like, Jax is so freaking delusional, he prob also doesn't see himself as a 'real person', which means..... (*Drumbeat, my sweet funnybunnyshippers*).. Pomni is not gonna let Jax spiral into madness, and is gonna of course try and make him snap out of it. (Also I remember someone noticing, that in episode 5, Jax was acting Australian, probably after seeing Pomni talk with Gumigoo in ep 4)

2. Beginning of episode 3, when Pomni says she can't hold her breath for long, because it still feels like she'll die, Kinger says (I think) "try not thinking about it", which confirms the theory that the characters actually have more control over circus (with their mind, and all.. As was theorized after ep 6), AND the theory that Kinger could be the creator of tadc? Also if I remember correctly, by the end of ep 1, when they decide to eat, Kinger also says something pretty smart that he shouldn't know, and Jax says "since when did you know so much about circus?"

Could be wrong in some of these, my memory is terrible, but I'll try to make a post later with screenshots and subtitles
