Karma Yantra Bath Bomb
So my local Lush has a bunch of the 30th Anniversary / Harajuku bath bomb range and I picked up a bunch. Karma is one of my favorite perfumes, and I do use the soap form of Karma from time to time. It’s a very bright earthy scent inspired by 1920 hippy dippy London, so I picked up quite a few of those guys!

INGREDIENTS: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Patchouli Oil (Pogostemon Cablin), Brazilian Orange Oil (Citrus Sinensis), Lavandin Oil (Lavandula Hybrida), Pine Oil (Pinus Sylvestris), Lemongrass Oil (Cymbopogon Citratus), Elemi Oil (Canarium Commune), Water (Aqua), *Citral, *Hydroxycitronellal, *Limonene, *Linalool, Fragrance, Red 4, Yellow 10, Yellow 8
SCENT FAMILY:
Karma
Karma Sutra
Karma Yantra
Karma Komba
Lush
To my personal knowledge this is one of the rare occasions that Karma is available in bath bomb form. Karma also now has a shower bomb form for those who prefer showers. Karma is a very bright clean citrusy orange/lemongrass, with a after note of a zingy pine, and a earthy patchouli. It’s a very brilliant and ageless scent. I will also note while I usually complain the Lush’s bath bombs scents tend to remain faint or vanish all together in the tub, Karma Yantra’s scent was the strongest and longest lingering in the bath outta’ any bath bomb I’ve ever used from Lush. It’s a shame it’s only available in the US till August.
If the symbol on this bomb looks similar to the Triforce from the Zelda series it comes from the fact the yantra are a diagram-like series of triangles used tantric traditions. Although these symbols look more like a symbol found around Japan related in a few shrines and also being synonymous with the Japanese Hōjō clan rather than their “tantric” inspiration. Speaking earlier on this guys light Zelda vibes, it does kinda’ remind me of the Medallions from Ocarina of Time. In the bath its just a smokey fizzy orange color that finishes off see-thru. One cool thing is if you put the Karma Yantra in on it’s flat bottom end very slowly into the tub it will fizz for a while without getting and of the triangle designs getting wet. It’s pretty entertaining. Also yet another glitterless bath bomb which is great because a good deal of Lush’s new bath bombs have more glitterless options. I like glitter but not every day

as for effects local shopkeep said Karma Yantra was good for clean fresh feeling as well as a bright positive feeling in the tub. I guess I can agree to both of those being true.
So over all:
Bomb Design: 2/5 (pretty simple design, I did like the flat coin shape)
Scent: 5/5 (y’all can’t go wrong with Karma, bright, happy, earthy
Bath Visuals: 3/5 (very pretty deep orange color, no glitter, simple)
Effectiveness: 2/5 (the usual had fun and all that)
TOTAL: 13 I’ve already got a few left at home, but I’ll def buy some more before these guys are off shelves. I highly recommend, especially if you want to try one of Lush’s most signature scents in bath bomb form

Monsters’ Ball Bath Bomb
Don’t let the name fool you baby this bitch is motherfuckin’ Calacas scent in disguise. For Halloween Lush has been rolling out the Monsters’ Ball bath bomb for a couple years now. Ya’ll might recognize the scent as The Day of the Dead/Calacas/Calavera/Skullduggery bath bomb. So basically Monster’s Ball is a Halloween version of the Day of the Dead / Calavera bath bombs. I was really drunk when I wrote all this very drunk off tequila

Ingredients: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Himalayan Rock Salt, Fragrance, Lime Oil, Neroli Oil, Olibanum Oil, Cream Of Tartar, Fair Trade Cocoa Butter, Titanium Dioxide, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Betaine, PEG-6 Caprylic / Caprylic Glycerides & PEG-80 Almond Glycerides, Propylene Glycol, Citral, Limonene, Linalool, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Benzyl Salicylate, Hydroxycitronellal Blue 1, Red 27, Red 33, Red 28, Vegan Dark Chocolate.
*candy eye**(eye candy from what I’ve been told is sugar and vegan dark chocolate chips)*
SCENT FAMILY:
Day of the Dead
Skullduggery
Calacas
Agbogbloshie
Calavera
Man in the Moon
The Enchanter

Here is the little chocolate eye I was talking about. They’re pretty hard to catch because they crumble away so quickly, but at least you don’t gotta’ clean it up
I mentioned before this guy is a Halloween themed bath bomb in which I liked the scent so much that I did buy two of them (got 1 left still) and I also picked up quite a few Eyeball bath bombs. Monsters’ Ball while being a seasonal variant of the Calacas scent family it does bring something unique to the table; Himalayan Rock Salt. I will talk about that a bit later though. The scent is so fucking amazing, a bright citrus with warm tones of olibanum. Olibanum is just frankincense in disguise and it smells amazing. Overall it just a very sweet lighthearted scent that makes you feel very happy.

On the visual side this bomb is pretty cool looking at the start. Lots of warm pink notes at first with a little bit of blue from his horns. The bomb then makes big waves off blue that make a smokey dance with the earlier mentioned pink notes. This bath bomb also isn’t very pigmented, so when all the fizzing is said and done it leaves you with a clean bright purple/blue colored water that you can see through. ALSO for all those folks out there who don’t like glitter in their bath bombs than this guy should be great for you! It’s current counterpart in Lush’s line up is Calavera which also is glitterless.

and of course the section where I am usually the most harsh, effects and shit. So I was told 3 big things that this bath bomb was good for: bright fun moods/anti depressive vibes, softened water and skin, and a very clean feeling. As I said earlier the scent of the baths scent did make me feel very happy. Earlier I had said that I would talk about that Himalayan Rock Salt, well we’re also gonna’ talk about the chocolate chip eye here too. So bath bombs were made from the get go as softeners for hard water in the taps back in the UK so with that in mind we’ll add that salts and sodium of any kind are not only fantastic water softener but also fantastic for softening the skin. The chocolate chips in their vegan state also have an nice buttery hydration similar to things like shea and cocoa butter.
So over all:
Bomb Design: 4/5 (simple & fitting; on its side & the look like little teeth)
Scent: 5/5 (personal favorite, happy, unique, rememberable)
Bath Visuals: 3/5 (very pretty, a little simple but likeable)
Effectiveness: 4/5 (felt very soft and cheery afterwards, effective)
TOTAL: 16 (really glad I have another one of these. I’ll probably go pick up some Calavera bath bombs from my local shop soon too)

Golden Wonder Bath Bomb
Next up is the Golden Wonder Bath Bomb. I’m a big fan of this bath bomb because I love the Bucks Fizz scent.

INGREDIENTS: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Perfume, Sweet Orange Oil, Cognac Oil, Lime Oil, Cream of Tartar, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Lauryl Betaine, Dipropylene Glycol, Gardenia Extract, Benzyl Benzoate, *Limonene, Colour 15510, Color 45350, Color 45410, Color 42090, *Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose*, Golden Lustre, Golden Lustre Spray.
*I’ve been told that sodium carbonxymethyl cellulose are those gold stars in the bath bomb*
SCENT FAMILY:
Bubby Shower Gel
Celebrate Shower Gel
Bucks Fizz Body Conditioner
Snow Showers Perfume
So the Golden Wonder is a bath bomb that has been around for quite a few consecutive Christmas’ seasons now at Lush. It features the very popular Celebrate perfume scent. Celebrate/Golden Wonder is a perky champagne scent that lasted a bit longer in the tub scent wise than I expected which was great!
vimeo
Now as for this bath bombs theme, the gift shape is an outer shell and inside are 3 smaller bath bombs in red, yellow, and blue, as well as a different type of star shaped glitter/confetti made from presses of cellulose gum that not only add a whole different charm to the already very glittery bath but are also vegan and biodegradable just like the stone based luster used. The color of the bath is somewhere between teal and a kind of mermaid water color with very small bursts of red, yellow, blue, and green from the gift and the tiny bombs. So visually this bath bomb has a lot going on!

Lastly effect wise I was really only told that this bath bomb is a great feel good bath bomb with its bubbly scent and extra effort in presentation so I guess to a certain degree that did work cuz I did really enjoy myself!
So over all:
Bomb Design: 3/5 (class, simple, way more glittery than mine seems)
Scent: 4/5 (I really love the Celebrate scent, want perfume)
Bath Visuals: 4/5 (cute star bits, nice glitter, just wish the mini bombs had more color)
Effectiveness: 2/5 (I had fun)
TOTAL: 13 (I’ll probably buy a couple more next year if they come back)

SNOWMAN BOMB BOMB
Aight so I got a shit ton of Lush stuff that I need to use because regardless of what they say Lush’s naked and wrapper-less items go bad and get ugly faster then expected. So this guy here is the
SNOWMAN BOMB BOMB

INGREDIENTS: Sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, spearmint oil, water, titanium dioxide, limonene, perfume, color 42090, color 14700, color 45350,
*candy eye**(eye candy from what I’ve been told is sugar and vegan dark chocolate chips)*
SCENT FAMILY:
Cream Egg Bubbleroon
Lamb Bomb Bomb
this guy was one of a 3 Christmas/Winter themed 2-in-1 stack bath bombs so I also got the Santa Bomb Bomb. I really liked the snowman's scent because it was a sweeter refreshing spearmint which you don’t get from lush often and I’m not a big fan of the louder mint bath bombs like Intergalactic. Like I said it smelled great but it faded super quick even when I use both bombs at the same time.
vimeo
Visually this bath bomb is pretty pigmented, light blue/sky blue with wafts of white make the water one solid color with no glitter or nothing. The fizzing of this bomb gives me similar vibes to big blue just, lighter in shade.

Lastly like every item in Lush stuff is supposed to have effects and benefits. The folks in my shop said this bath bomb was good for stuffy noses and leaving you feeling invigorated. I didn’t really feel much of that but it did again smell nice for a few minutes. So I guess over all:
Bomb Design: 3/5 (simple, classic, cute 2 for 1)
Scent: 4/5 (really refreshing scent, wish it lasted)
Bath Visuals: 2/5 (pretty, but very simple and nothing I haven’t seen)
Effectiveness: 1/5 (eh ? ? ?)
TOTAL: 05 / 20 (its OK, would buy again for the 2 in 1 deal)
