We all know that recently Augmented Reality (AR) is making lots of buzz in the market. Big tech giants like Apple, Google, Facebook and others are heavily investing to make AR mainstream. But it is sad that very few are making applications using this platform that can have actual benefit for the users in their day to day life, Most of them use it for entertainment like Snapchat or Instagram filters. Ideas that a group should work on is to make sure people adopt to AR for their day to day activities just like smartphones have become an integral part of life. the company should focus on making applications and content that can help them in visualising products or purchases, help industry simplify the process of how to use different machines and in education. And all this should be readily be available rather than ask consumers to buy a separate gadget to the same. Only then a company focusing on AR can survive mainstream market.Here is one application of such a scenario where AR can help a consumer get acquainted to the product they have just purchased and also compare it with other variants.

Lonnnnnng Time

It’s been sometime....mmm...years since I have updated my blog. Want to put an end to the bad practice. In the last few years lot’s have happened. Though android is still the to go technology of my choice I decided to pickup certain skills on the way. Namely Angular and AR technologies. AR has fascinated me me a lot for the last couple of years and I wish to do something more using the technology. Let’s see how things shape up.

Now that I finally got some time to stretch my fingers here I am with blur UI implementation based on the popular yahoo weather application. Hi, congratulations for your library. My problem is that when I import eclipse your example, I get error in all options. Not seem to find the activitys. Thanks for your help. dalvikvm(16217): Could not find class

I think the library file path is the not set properly in project properties. Could please check that out. Also which version of the library are you using?

Hey ! Im interested in your semi radial menu and your code really help a lot in my project as a reference. May i Know how can i edit the view so i wont block other view ?

You can use a relative layout and draw the radial menu on top of all other views. But thanks for raising this. Will look into it and see if there is a cleaner method.

Latest addition to the all things radial family, well on second thought it's err semi-circular. Well nevermind I have added a new version of radial menu which came in as a request. You can get the sources at the usual locations.

Yippe new update to all-things-radial family. Added a radial progress widget to the existing library. This can be used as a static item or you can touch and change values like rotation a knob.

An update to yesterdays post. I have finished with the mini project on carousel layout for android. The api now supports both vertical and horizontal versions along with styles. Anybody willing can go ahead and use it in their projects... just drop by a message if it was helpful.

Check out the implementation of carousel layout for android. I have modified the source (by Davy Leggieri) to make implementation a breeze. Plus I added a couple of my own stuffs (like handling on item change listeners etc).

Hi guys, just finished updating the code for My Resume. 

Changelog :

Will run from android version 2.3 and above.

Optimized for tablets.

Added an XML which can can be edited to show anybody's resume. In short anybody can just change the data and compile to get there resume as a fancy android app.

To Come:

External xml support.

A java swing app to create the xml from GUI based entry.

Export as PDF.
