Welcome to this short presentation of TurquoiseByElke.

Do you enjoy vintage, one-of-a-kind, unique, eclectic and not easily definable jewelry? Good, because my mission is to bring you, the sophisticated cowgirl and nature lover, some serious fab pre-owned vintage and one-of-a-kind turquoise, gemstone and sterling silver jewelry that is authentic, highly wearable, an expression of art and a great representation of nature, the lovely Southwest and my European roots. Check with my shop often, because you never know what one-of-a-kind bauble you may find.

I strive to combine my love of art, nature and beauty into bringing you some very eclectic, non-mass produced baubles that you can wear confidently. A representation of a wide variety is my goal; not to be limited by one particular style is important to me. Limitation is the stagnation of art.

Some of my jewelry is harder to categorize-it is just beautiful and one-of-a-kind. I am trying to bring you a wide array of styles and pricing, but always top quality. Find items for every occasion, outfit and preference. Whatever you choose, I have made sure that it will stand out from the crowd. Also, many fashionista silversmiths with a large following will use nickel silver in their jewelry and sell it for a lot of money. I refuse to do that!

What I’ve enjoyed so far above all other things are the interpersonal bonds I have formed with my clients; the lovely daughter who bought her mom a pendant “just because.” Or the lovely lady who got her husband a bolo tie to wear at their wedding and then sent me a picture. I also enjoy all the other customers I have gotten to know in the short life of my Etsy Shop.

5igna designs - the extreme collection

I am a structural engineer and love working with metal, creating one of a kind wearable pieces. I'm really fond of organic, edgy, detailed and asymmetric forms.

Every single piece is my own design, handmade using traditional jewellery techniques (sawing, soldering, forging, forming, bezel setting, lost-wax casting...).

I started as a self taught maker, then later joined a course and learnt from some great teachers next to wonderful people. Every day is a new challenge and every day I learn something new.

Working mostly with sterling silver and gold, I enjoy the contrast of partially oxidized metal.

I try to keep all my jewellery unique and do not duplicate my works; each has its own story and a special place in my heart.

The Extreme Collection is a more experimental approach, focusing on edgy, raw, massive and organic pieces.

Not your every day jewellery, I'd like to think of this as a rather artistic, free creation, the "one" special piece, out of style, trends or gender.

Le Bison Blanc offers a wide range leather goods like belts, wallets & card holders, cuff bracelets, animal collars, handbags and purses, all items are customizable to your wishes.

She only uses vegetable tanned leather and traditional techniques such as stitching with linen thread in saddle stitch, finishing of slices with beeswax etc. Please check out the link for more information.

Gold: succes, wealth, wisdom, achievement, quality and status. Every piece is selected by the color it has for me (the color it hasf or the most of it off course) and I know that “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” but I think I have added some great pieces in this post.(again 😁) I have also added some key words at the beginning of every post.
