Spent the day calling PayPal and getting WILDLY different responses. One Rep said this was the first she'd heard of this, another said PayPal had an official statement and she would email me a "Screenshot" of it, another said I had no right in this and it was between PayPal and Steam and Itch io, and couple of them got very... constitutive with me as soon as I mentioned Adult content. Of Gods and Men

Theirs a thing about DnD that I feel is lost on a lot of people, especially newer people to the franchise, and it comes to gods and culture in the setting because the two are very connected. The morality of a race is more of a default rather than a hard rule and this comes to culture and gods. A races God creates the baseline because it determines how their society is ran. Gnolls have an evil god that essentially curses his people with an unending hunger, those that adhere to their gods will are also pure evil, but if they step away from that and seek a different path then they can be good or at least neutral. Gnoll Culture and religion is evil but that doesn’t exactly means every Gnoll is evil, it’s just a good assumption.

Goblins are the best example I think because they used to have a pantheon but one of their Gods who was about trickery and deceit killed the others. This God then proceeded to bully and torment his people creating the modern goblin who are perfect henchmen and thugs, cowardly, tricky, timid despite their bluster. Just a bunch of people trained to follow the meanest person or encouraged to be the meanest person so they can tell the others what to do. Goblins are just as easily good guys as they are bad guys they just need to learn to be independent and brave enough to stand on their own and by doing that they essentially reject their evil gods will.

Dragonborn are my favorite because they’re basically newcomers and have an interesting twist. Unlike Lizardmen who are full on Lizard Brained people the Dragonborn are people from another world where Dragons rules and the Dragonborn served under them, not exactly as slaves but certainly as a servant class. Out of sheer luck their city falls out of that world and crash lands into the Forgotten Realms. The Dragonborn looked around, noticed a distinct lack of Dragon Overlords and went nuts. Not in a violent sort of nuts but they got high on freedom. For Dragonborn they serve no one and see that social ladder and aspire to climb it. A Dragonborn would never lower themselves to being a petty thief, they would rather be a Bandit King, a Dragonborn sees Warlocks and Clerics and says “cringe, those lazy bastards don’t want to pull themselves up by their bootstraps!” If a Dragonborn decides to be a Bard they will strive to be the greatest Bard who ever lived and if they worked in the Newspaper they would be the greatest Reporter or Crossword Puzzle maker EVER.

This makes the Dragonborn everything I’ve been talking about because after being freed from the heel of their Dragon Masters by sheer luck they vowed to never serve anyone again and are surprisingly agnostic as a result. They understand gods exist but why would they serve a god? “That doesn’t sound very Freedom” says the Dragonborn. They can Justify being a Paladin as vowing to serve the people rather than a God. But Warlocks are in the service of someone specifically and a Cleric gets their powers from a God.

It was a whole thing, after the fall of the Jedi Yoda did a lot of reflecting and realized a lot of what happened was because of the ways of the Jedi. They were so strict in their rules it became Heartless and thats what broke Anakin. The Dark Side is fueled by Emotion and Passion, it’s so tempting to use your power to get the things you want even if your intentions are pure and that can corrupt people. The Light Side is fueled by Calmness and Thought, the true path to enlightenment is to control your emotions and be mindful. However the Jedi took this to such an extreme degree often during the age of the Republic that they might as well have been training Sociopaths.

A long time ago Dark and Light weren’t enemies like they are now. Sith and Jedi were simply schools of thought and there was something called The Path of Grey. Where they would train themselves in the ways of the Dark and Light side of the Force to achieve a balance. If someone leaned too far in one direction they would be banished for a period of time to a place strong in one aspect of the Force and immerse themselves in it. When they felt the Dark or Light side they were allowed to return back. The current Sith and Jedi order do not do this any more because some people felt like one side of the force simply was better than the other. They’re basically Extremist Groups. You’d obviously prefer Jedi over Sith but Jedi have their own issues.

Reminds me of a Babylon Bee skit they did recently. A Left Wing activist comes from the future to kill Hitler and Hitler just casually drops that she’s not the first person to attempt this. He asks her why she’s doing this and when she tells him he’s a Right Wing Dictator he mentions that Nazi just means German Socialist Party, Nazi is just a catchy shorthand. She says she’s nothing like him and wants to kill him so she can get rid of people with “dangerous ideas” and create her perfect society and Hitler responds with “I do that too! Erase the people who stand against your ideology so you can’t be challenged, haha… the Nazi movement will not die with me” he notes she has a Pro Abortion shirt on and brings up he’s also pro abortion “the culling and control of a society through Eugenics is a wonderful concept”

By the end of it he’s basically dismantling her entire belief system and basically saying “Your ideology and mine are the exact same” rather than admit she was wrong she stands by Hitler and says how much of a kind and caring man he is. This revealing exactly how he’s survived every other assassination attempt by Time Travelers. He even pointed out how they both hate Jews and that wasn’t enough to make her self reflect.

I’m just trying to find an alternative that will work for more than just a niche group. I’ve been poor before and know there is just some stuff you get no say in, like what bank will open an account for you. But it would be nice to find something that would be a descent replacement for Mastercard/Visa that isn’t just for the ones who don’t have it so bad and up. Credit scores, in general, are also shit and dumb and a huge reason most people struggle to get things approved. Found this out recently but Freetube is a thing basically a VPN designed specifically to dodge the AI because it stops the site from tracking your watching habits, essentially the YouTube doesn’t know you’re in the house. So thats neat

Ok saw the new Digital Circus Episode spoilers but I have to immediately talk about this:

Jax is a monster by choice. The guy apparently had a successful life before entering the Circus so already his world came crashing down harder than most others save for probably Kinger. He is clearly having some survivors guilt over his friend and Kaufmo Abstracting, he copes with all of this by dehumanizing the people around him including himself and filing everyone under tropes. He’s pretending to be at the Acceptance Stage but Pomni is probably closer to that stage than Jax is. He opened up to Pomni and regrets doing that and when he realizes he’s forming a real friendship with her he looks at Kaufmo and Froggy’s doors and pushes her away, trying to get her to shoot him and seal the idea they aren’t friends, which Pomni also sees through.

Bringing it back to Kinger for a second he makes an Extra Life Butterfly out of nowhere despite it not being in the rules and Kinger simply says “I made that rule up” KINGER HAS MODERATOR PRIVILEGES. He 100% made the Digital Circus and he blames himself for whats happened to everyone. The Company is C&A and I’m headcanoning that Kinger and Jax were a part of C&A- heck they could actually be C and A. Jax was probably a higher up and Kinger was one of the actual Developers. If Goosworx isn’t messing with us and Jax is the one that belongs here the most he probably had something to do with why people can’t leave and why he’s stuck in the game with them.

100% everyone except the lawmakers responsible see the flaws in these plans. The Reform Party in the UK (basically the Anti-Labor party, the people responsible for all this) outright says that kids are more tech savvy than the people who penned OSA and will find ways around this stuff. Which should be the easiest solution for anyone to come to.

Worse case scenario is this kicks off a Prohibition Style tech culture where things will get A LOT worse before the powers that be admit defeat

My opinion on yt id verification and why it might fail (warning for yapping)

This is just me ranting about this stupid yt id verification stuff on YouTube, to put it simply. I don’t like it, on paper it sounds ok but in execution it’s awful and unfair. But if you want the longer version well here it is.

Here’s why I have a feeling this will fail coming from someone who’s seen some awful things on the internet

People will find a way to bypass this or find ways around it, or in the worse case scenario YouTube gets hacked and so many people are doxxed. Kids and adults alike will be affected.

As A kid I used to have unlimited access to the internet on my iPad and during that time I was in a very bad place which led me down to being exposed to some creepy awful shit on the Internet, hell for a short time I thought that half of it was normal until I got therapy. Wanna know what my mom did when she found out I was exposed to stuff I shouldn’t have been exposed to? She took my iPad away for a week or so, sternly lectured me, and put restrictions on my iPad and the Internet. (Sadly I found loopholes to that too)

Point I’m trying to make here is there are going to be ways that can be bypassed, as much as it sucks. It should not be the job of a big website to watch your kids (ok maybe a little bit)

But it’s the responsibility of the parents!

It’s not fair to all of us if you can’t parent your child’s internet.

Uuuhhh yea that’s all I gotta say, young kids should either be heavily monitored or not be on the internet at all.

I hope this makes sense to some people, I’m just frustrated with this.
