Hello guys, it's been a very quiet couple of months on this feed- we apologize for that and pray that God gives us the fuel we need for more frequent posts. Our theme for the next few weeks is going to be Music. Music and praise to God is a very important theme in The Bible, which is why an entire book of The Bible- Psalms is dedicated entirely to it. It's significance in the scripture is clearly expressed in the first 21 verses of Exodus 15. This was just after the Israelites had crossed the Red Sea and been delivered from the Egyptians. The verses are filled with beautiful phrases of adoration to God as they were in awe of what he had done for them. When God blesses us, what should we do? Do we snapchat and tweet just to show everyone how nice our lives are and brag? No, we should actually praise the Lord from the depths of our soul. And God doesn't have to physically split apart a sea for us to praise him but even the gift of breath should be enough for us to thank him endlessly. Praises can come in the form of songs to the Lord. Singing praises gives us a sense of Joy, triumph, hope for the future and extreme gratitude towards the King of Kings. It is a real shame that over 90% of music marketed towards teenagers drive us further and further away from our father, and distort our views of the world and they focus on excessive wealth, ungodly relationships and casual sex, drug use, debauchery and even unsolicited depression and sadness. Why not fill our minds with music that reminds us that we have a great father who created the entire universe as well as lifting up our spirits and enriching our prayer lives, prayer as we all know is communication with God and a firm relationship with God is what we should all aim for. The common point most people raise is "the Christian songs I hear are boring" which is true, if you've only come across music that isn't lively to you, however trust me. There is an entire world of gospel music ranging from rap to reggae, soul, R&B and much more. So, over the next few posts we'll be exploring a lot of gospel songs. Stay tuned & stay blessed. #music #gospel #christ #forteensbyteens #evangelism #preach #betterworld #jesus

#morningencouragement Hello guys! Once again we apologize for taking too long to update our feed. This verse came during a time when I definitely needed it. I was quite anxious about a certain thing I had to do and on that very morning, my daily bible verse all showed it to me. It was not just a coincidence people, God works in such mysterious ways. I just want you all to remember that no matter how difficult any task before you may seem, God himself, the creator of the entire universe, had your back. You got this, so just do it. #dailybibleverse #encouragement #treyfoundation #forteensbyteens #wordofgod #warstrategy #forteensbyteens #justdoit #hewillsupport you #justbelieve #trustinthelord #ezra #thebookofezra #unexpectedverse #serendipity

Our Beatitudes study has come to an end with this verse, which reiterates what is said in the previous verse. However, a highly important point is made. When we are persecuted, it is for God's sake. Isn't it a privilege to be persecuted for God? Therefore I think that we should defend him and ignore the foolish words of our persecutors with honour for God because giving in to the harsh persecutions implies that we think that the persecutors are more powerful than God, the King of all Kings and Lord of Lords, which clearly isn't true.

HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE! Persecution is something that we all as Christians have to deal with, maybe even on a day to day basis. Previously, I thought that persecution only really referred to being stoned to death like Stephen or being forced to deny Christ, which kinda made me feel like this verse didn't really apply to me. But recently, I have realized that us as teenagers can easily be persecuted by non-believers in incredibly subtle ways. For instance being shunned by your clique for choosing to spend time with the "weirdo" in school, being confronted when you refuse to wear inappropriate clothing like others around you, being insulted when you decide not to lie to cover up your colleague's wrongdoings, these are all very low-key means through which the devil tries to get us to deny the Christian faith. As painful as these may be in the moment, we must never forget to keep our eyes on the prize- righteousness and heaven. We are also told that we will be blessed if we bear these persecutions, the the Heavenly Kingdom will be ours. However, we need the grace of the Lord to be able to put the devil to shame and acquire our blessings. #TREY #treyfoundation #biblestudy #thebeautitudes #matthew #verse #bible #godsword #evangelism #livegoals #persecution #blessings #keystosuccess #blessthelord #sunday #beginningoftheweek #newweek #thankyoulord #thankyoujesus #forteensbyteens #youthministry

Dear All, sorry for the lack of posts lately. Today's long-overdue verse is Matthew 5:9 and it is all about being a Peacemaker. A maker of peace. Someone who takes it upon him or herself to make sure that there is no commotion or riot or argument between him/herself and others or within a group. If every single person on this planet decided to be a peacemaker then there would never be any war. Keeping the peace requires a lot of effort and dedication. You would have to possess the attributes of patience, gentleness, mercy and above all, love. For others because if you truly loved someone you would not want them to get into fights that could physically or even emotionally hurt them. So let us decide now to try as much as possible to make peace wherever we can, at school, home, work, church, anywhere, and God will truly call us His Children. #itsbeenawhike #dailydevotional #biblestudy #dailybiblestudy #lifetips #makepeacenotwar #care #warisnottheanswer #childrenofgod #thebeatitudes #matthew #newtestament #forteensbyteens #treyfoundation #TREY #theredemptionofeveryyouth

This verse has been a struggle for me to write about because it seems so difficult to be pure in heart. To be pure by definition is to be "wholesome and untainted by immorality" Now, it is one thing not to actually physically commit any sins but an entirely different thing not to even think of these things at all. Having immortal thoughts of fornication, murder, having an idol beside God that you constantly think about and even envy are sins as well. God is a fair judge, so I believe that he will understand how difficult it can be sometimes to have a completely pure kind, as long as we realize our errors and come to forgive him with remorse. The reward for having a pure heart is getting to see God himself. The same God who parted the Red Sea and created the entire universe by just speaking. Wooow. Getting to see him would just be so awesome. In Exodus 33 verses 20-23 it is explained that Moses was shown the greatness of God and his back but not his face. And later on in Chapter 34 we see that after that, his face shone so brightly that the Israelites were even afraid to go near him. So just imagine actually being able to see his actual face. And also even apart from the reward alone, we are told to guard our hearts (i.e our minds) in Proverbs 4:23 which says "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." (NIV) Meaning that we should be highly cautious of what we take into our minds because those are the things we will think about may ultimately do as our lives go on. Verse 7 is one that reminds us that we should treat others the way we want to be treated. "Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy." Being merciful involves being so forgiving of others that it's like our very own nature, which is why it says specifically "The merciful" because it is as though it is a title based on your character. Being able to forgive shows our lack of pride because we do not take the person's wrongdoings too personally and it also shows our trust in God because he will be the one to settle all injustice done towards us on earth in the name of Jesus! Being shown mercy means that if we are ever in a case where we are to get an unfair punishment, we will not receive it because the mercy we have been giving to others will be reciprocated towards us. It is such a clear example of the Golden Rule in Matthew 7:12 which tells us "Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets." Have a blessed week ahead of you in Jesus name!! #bible #Sunday #biblestudy #bibledevotion #dailydevotion #fairness #thegoldenrule #mercy #forgiveness #trustinthelord #trustgod #liveforhimalone #godblessyou #treyfoundation #theredemptionofeveryyouth #inspiredbygodsword

Verse 6 is one that really strikes me personally. When we are hungry or thirsty, we feel as though we need food or drink. It is not a conscious decision, but a natural reaction to a lack of nutrients. Now, apply this to the context of the bible. When we hunger and thirst after righteousness, we yearn for it. We are incredibly desperate to be right with God and be pure and blameless in every single aspect of our lives. Oddly, I think this sounds like quite a fun challenge, to try and do every single this according to the bible. Of course it will be difficult, but that's why we are fully equipped with the Holy Spirit, which will guide us and help us through the journey. Looking more closely at the verse, it says "Blessed and those who DO HUNGER AND THIRST..." It doesn't say "those who WILL" or "those who DID". Meaning that at every point in time, we should be striving to be the best kind of Christians we can be, not just when we are in church, or when we feel guilty, or when we are trying to be a good example to people we are sharing the gospel with, but at any given time. And this helps us because we will never know when Christ will come again, so we must always be ready. And while we are doing all this, striving to become closer to Hod, he will continually satisfy us. One thing I realized from this verse is that the bible itself and following its commands just makes our lives way better than they would have been if we didn't, as the bible says "But Seek he first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you." in the next chapter, Matthew 6:33. So please, I beg you all, let us try to live pure lives so that we can be satisfied by God and find the answers to any issues we might be having in our lives. Meek is a synonym of the word gentle. To be gentle means being calm, collected, kind and level-headed as much as possible, (which is all the time, really) and this will not only help us mentally, as we won't be prone to taking rash decisions, but will even improve our relationship with others as we will be patient and understanding towards them. Gentleness is also part of the fruit of the spirit mentioned in Galatians 5:22. Biblically, an inheritance is something you get as a right. Having the whole world given to you simply because you're calm and gentle is quite awesome, right? And I find it so upsetting that in this world today, a lot of gentle people seems to be taken advantage of or overshadowed by those who are more assertive. Honestly, being meek isn't as easy as is seems because it might get frustrating being patient towards someone who constantly annoys or belittles you, but all you have to do is hold on, remember that the greatest reward will be gotten in our eternity, not now, keep trying and set your mind on your inheritance from God. Also, thinking about it, if everyone acted with meekness the world would be a far better place, wouldn't it? #trey #daily #dailybiblestudy #scripture #bible #wordofgod #life #gentleness #meek #meekness #gentle #betterlife #betterworld #inheritance #godislove #kindness #fruitofthespirit #empowerment #forteensbyteens #christianyouth #teensforchrist #itssaturday

Christianity isn鈥檛 about doing good deeds and hoping God takes notice. It鈥檚 about how God took notice of us when we had nothing good to offer.
