I just rewatched The Lego Movie about a week after rewatching Murder Drones on Amazon and I have come to the startling realization that Uzi and N are just role-swapped Emmet and Lucy.

I'm saddened by the fact that Wicked is forced to be a prequel to Baum's story and an adaption of the musical and thus will end with Elphaba going into hiding. All the while, Oz gets off scot-free back to Kansas with little more than Dorothy's "You're a very, very bad man!" scolding. I desperately want to see Glinda dropkick Oz in the teeth while Elphaba castrates him with her magic.

One of the first things we learn about Luz is that she likes to make anime music videos. So, consider that after the events of Hollow Mind, Luz's panicked brain dredged up "Holy shit... Hunter is Rei..."

I feel like if Luz and Vee had a more civil first meeting it would have gone like this:

I finally got to watching FLCL Progressive and Alternative and I just want to say that Alternative has basically solidified my headcanon from my many viewing of FLCL Classic that Haruko is less of an actual person and more of an anarchistic Mary Poppins Cat in the Hat fae type creature that comes into a random child's life during puberty to help them through it with her schemes to capture Atomsk, stop Medical Mechnica's evil plots, or both. Only when they work through their problems and either stop her from obtaining Atomsk's power, help her defeat MM, or both, do they pass her test and can move on towards healthy adulthood then she leaves for a new town with a new scheme and a new kid who needs her. (Progressive having Haruko go after Atomsk by herself before the events of said season kind of throws a wrench in there though.)

Gurren Lagann AU where Kamina just barley lived through his injuries in episode 8 and falls into a coma. Simon still enters a state of depression due to blaming himself for Kamina's condition and leads to him falling into the pit where he finds Nia. Kamina awakens a few days later, meets Nia, and immediately starts calling her "sis" since he's so fucking cool like that, and it means the goddamn world to Nia that Kamina sees her as family since the Spiral King literally disowned her the other day.

Also Kamina succumbs to his injuries during the Battle of Teppelin... Soooo.... YAAYYY! A SIMON AND NIA "JUST LOST YOUR BROTHER" ANGST COMBO MEAL! WWWWOOOOO!!!!

So, I finally got around to watching both Eva and Madoka... and made the horrible mistake of watching them back-to-back. (My mental health is going to be in shamble for weeks)

But my main concern is... if I'm understanding this correctly...

At the end, Shinji got the power of Lilith from Rei and used that power to allow people to be brought back from Instrumentality if they chose so. Awesome! Cool! Amazing!

Meanwhile, at the end of her series, Madoka used her wish to make it so Magical Girls don't become witches when their soul gems get irreversibly tainted. All right! Good! Great!

Instead, now they just die..........

I love that the Game Boy series of handhelds were made during a time when those cheap dollar store quality earbuds were the norm and never did Nintendo think that affordable studio quality earphones would become commonly used in the future, leading to you literally being able to hear the whirring of the electricity running through the console when using said studio quality earphones.
