Handmade plushies are definitely a favourite of the newsies on birthdays and holidays. The little crafting groups in the front room of the lodging house where the older newsies are showing the younger ones how to sew a scrap fabric plushie together. And the absolute joy on the receivers face at the gift. Even Spot Conlon has his own handmade plush, which has its very own little slingshot
