i think cavetown might actually be in my head with this one. there’s so many lyrics that are SO relatable. i swear i have never had an original experience. the vibe of the song is immaculate. like every cavetown song tbh. the rhythm and the flow of the lyrics creates like a comforting atmosphere idk how to explain it properly.

oh my word. this song is beautiful and heartbreaking. ugh just some of the lyrics. they’re just so clever. matty healy is a genius. the song is so soft, you can hear the love in the composition.

“she bought me those jeans, the ones you like” - your favourite things about me come from her. omg crying.

“the smell of your hair, reminds me of her feet” - the best parts of you are only as good as the worst parts of her. wtf i’m actually dead.

“you do make me hard, but she makes me weak” - yes we have chemistry but she makes me vulnerable. i cant.

10.12.24 - northern attitude by noah kahan with hozier

you wanna talk about relating to songs? fuck me this is the song. growing up in the north west of england with any angry dad and mum that works a lot gives this song so much meaning. it’s also another song in my wolfstar playlist (which makes it even better). northern attitude is such a master piece, with noah kahan’s lyrics and hozier’s angelic little screams, it’s a match made in heaven.

my favourite lyric: “scared to live, scared to die”. it’s such a simple statement but my god does it say so much. also in hozier’s irish accent *chef’s kiss* absolute perfection.

09.12.24 - heaven sent is a coffee cup by bears in trees

this is my no.1 bears in trees song of all time so everything i’m about to say is extremely biased. this song is so so so so good. i have never once listened to it without having at least a bit of a dance. the fact that i can sing the “i couldn’t call it then when i saw your face” bit perfectly without messing up is one of my biggest flexes. heaven sent is just such a happy and bubbly song. it feels like the colour yellow for some reason. the whole flow of the song and the rhymes is so like smooth and satisfying. my brain finds it very pleasing.

my favourite lyric is “keep your bed warm while you’re stuck in class, it’s not grand or romantic but it’s the little thing that counted”. idk i just really like the sentiment behind it yk.

it was also during heaven sent that callum got in the crowd at the concert and i got to see him sing my favourite song so close to me !! it was crazy.

this song is so powerful and well written. you can feel the emotions behind it. i would say it’s one of my favourite conan songs. as a marauders fan, it is a gut wrenching song. i like to think it’s wolfstar, jegulus, rosekiller coded, which obviously gives any song extra points. also the bridge is just *chef’s kiss*

07.12.24 - little one by the happy fits

the first time i heard this song was when the happy fits opened for bears in trees in manchester on 27.04.24. i must admit there was a tear shed. this song means so much as a queer and non-binary person who doesn’t always feel fully accepted. the lead singer of the band said that the song was written to any of his future children so that they know they will always be loved and supported… hence the tears.
