I have to admit something and its embarrassing given my fic writing... I've finally watched the Dark Knight

we have GOT to kill tiktok/twitter self-censorship i just witnessed a grown adult say the word “smex” out loud to our professor

And obviously like I know that's the point of fandom and by proxy fanfiction, that anyone is given a chance to create and share. But its weird to think that IM the anyone on the other side of the screen, and all those people are the anyone's to me. Thats kinda a bunch of bs and I know that but at the same time I really want to thank all the real people who exist and decided to pick up the stuff I wrote and care

So I dont have tiktok but my best friend does and every few months she'll come across a tiktok someone made about my fanfic and its always the most insane thing ever. There's seventeen thousand likes and five thousand saves??? Then I go check the actual fic and its sitting at 130 thousand hits and I just have to sit back and think like... All those people???? Do they not know im just some guy who got bored a few years ago??
