QUICK LIFE UPDATE

Finally moved into my new space a bit ago, but I have been without internet for nearly two weeks. It’s sorted now, but I was DYING. I haven’t been without internet in my own home since I was, like, 9 years old lmao.

Regardless, that also means updates will likely get back onto a semi-regular schedule soon! I’ll hopefully have one up by the end of September, crossing my fingers.

It could just be my Pokémon obsession flaring recently but whenever I see Genghis with color I just—

Building frogs.

Genghis checks over the plans, the buildings, and the older frogs. If its good to go, up to date, or if they’re feeling alright. Unfortunately, checking in on these things can make a happy frog quite sassy and irritable frog.

Especially if they’re all act first, think later.

Not sure what kind of tone you’re going for in terms of vocals but I immediately heard Impulse from the Young Justice show when I saw Napoleon’s cute lil face XD. And I KNOW Jason Marsden has done a decent southern accent in the past I just CANNOT remember what show/movie lol

Froggies pt.1

Napoleon Bonafrog!

Napoleon is the youngest of the Main Four frogs… and the one that gets in the most trouble.

Raised from an egg, he's a loyal and hardworking frog who strives to make his family proud even if it comes at the cost of his social life. Yet it seems moving to New York for their job has made him quite restless, and now he has a new… turtle friend?

Believe it or not, he’s not too happy of the situation they’re in, and would much rather be taking care of the horses(or yokai “horse-like creatures”?). Sure, he has a whole city to explore, but being hounded about every safety lesson under the sun just to go check out a sewer pipe gets tiring. And their job—He hates hurting people, hates lying, and definitely hates seeing his face on a wanted poster(they never get his patterns right!) Even with this, Napoleon does have quite a few questionable ideas, and its not just his food taste.

When it comes to fights, Napoleon is quite aware that he does NOT have the muscle the others frogs have, so he relies on evading and staying far away whenever he has to start battling . And after meeting mikey, hes gained the ability of using his whip like a swing.

You’ll get your outside relations later, for now return to froggies.

Napoleons relationship to Attila is a rather complex and strained one, even with his very appreciative view of him, mostly due to the expectations placed on him and the strict rules that follow. Napoleon is a pushover and quite desperate for approval because of this, and struggles alot in trying to voice his needs to him.

Doesn’t help that he pretty much sees him as his dad. His very…VERY flawed and criminal dad. Brother. Guardian…

Napoleon likes Rasputin since he’s more laxed about the rules than Attila, but if he sees him walking towards him, he usually tries to get away as quickly as possible, since it usually means he’s in trouble. Despite this, any mission that Razz is on, Napoleon will try to join specifically for the free time.

He’s not very fond of the views he shares with Attila though. Or his scary ass speed.

Finally, Napoleon thinks Genghis is the best, mostly because he doesn’t brush off any of his questions and has the time to spend with him. Genghis also does not push any of his own opinions on him, and treats him more like a teenager than a toddler.

If Napoleon were to, say, run off to hang out with an orange turtle, he can trust Genghis to not be a snitch.

That said, hes also very aware that the only reason for that is because he doesn’t see his friend as a threat. Yet.

I wanted to a voice claim thingy for them all but i couldn’t find the voices i thought fit with Napoleon and Genghis, with the closest being, i think, the 1987 punk frogs lol? If you have some voices in mind that youd think fit, id like to check them out uvu

Just got the update notification email and of course I'm stuck at work AND TOTALLY NOT FREAKING OUT!!

So excited to read it! Though I may save it for a day I have enough time to sit down and read through the whole thing at once. Otherwise I will end up staying up waaaaay too late to finish it.

(Mostly) Unedited word count of the chapter is sitting at 23.5K, and that’s with me cutting an entire section at the end for narrative purposes, so it’s definitely going to be a doozy but I’m excited!!

Do you WANT to read a 20k+ word chapter? Leaving it together for the complete Rise experience? Or would it be more manageable for reading to split it in two? Just curious

Hi I’m just checking on how you are doing also when you are done with over the rainbow do you have anything planned?

Doing as well as I can be in this freakin hellscape of a country!

No concrete plans for when ‘Over the Rainbow’ is completed, but I’ll definitely focus more on the ‘Mystic Malfunction’ oneshots I’ve created prompts for and got massively sidetracked from.

No long form fics in the works, but that may change if I ever find a good way to watch 2003 TMNT. I’ve seen, like, half of season 1 but then it got taken off of the…totally NOT swash-buckling site I was using.

I’m assuming this is for ‘Globe-Trotting Turtles’ lmao. I have a soft spot for exploring and developing relationships of all kinds, and I kinda hope to get into the romantic sector at some point.

For which fandom? No clue. But as someone who’s on the ace spectrum and most likely ~hand wavy~ on the aro spectrum as well, dissecting and breaking down how those kinds of relationships work and develop is just…SO interesting and fulfilling to my mind.

Ive been thinking about ronin's narrative kappa comparison with cucumber being a safe food for him in OTR and it made me think of one of my favorite cucumber dishes I used to eat as a kid that was literally just rice, toasted sesame seeds, sliced cucumbers and a vegan friendly viet sauce
