The amount of times I’ve seen weird hatred of Eris’s behavior after dancing with Nesta and deciding then and there he wanted to marry her tells me a lot of ACOTAR fans would not survive like, 100% of historical romance books.

I’m sorry but that scene was 100% hot and swoon worthy. What do you meeeeeeeaaaaaaannnn he wants her more than anything, that he doesn’t give two fucks about the literal MADE, cauldron powered weapon, even less fucks about Rhysand and what the IC might do to help him? (Literally none but that’s besides the point)

Like I’m sorry but fae lore is based in a completely different time. Fantasy fiction is often very heavily inspired by HISTORICAL fiction, unless you’re specifically writing urban fantasy. This is not evidence of Eris being a horrible person, it’s evidence of the sparks and passion he felt for Nesta, he’s ALWAYS felt for her.

Idk how anyone could hate that scene/hate Eris’s actions in that scene and like anything even remotely close to Bridgerton, Outlander, ect.

There needed to be the obligatory tension to make theirs an interesting story but Elain and Lucien locking eyes and instantly knowing they were mates seems similar to Sarah locking eyes with Josh and instantly knowing he was it for her.

I find it amusing that Lucien, the fox of Prythian, the emissary, the rake, the - If I offer you the moon on a string will you give me a kiss, too? - flirt, is rendered completely awkward and tense and almost incapable of putting together a good sentence in front of his lovely mate.

Some people could say this means there's no chemistry between them, but what I think is, if the-always-composed male has a brain malfunction in front of a girl, it means he's fucked. He found THE ONE.

I will die on the hill that Lucien is stronger than he lets on, and that he is purposefully holding back and making himself seem smaller and insignificant and good for little more than playing second fiddle to others.

And it's worked ridiculously well. Not only is he constantly being underestimated by the characters, he's also been underestimated by so many readers. And it's gonna shock them when the reveal comes that Lucien has been holding back.

Just a fun reminder that Lucien got his scar and his prosthetic eye because he fucking stood up to Amarantha and was pretty bad ass about it.

Reminder that even after the traumatic event he never ever once coward in front of her, showed any fear when threatened by her or Rhysand, and repeatedly broke her rules and disregarded her commands to help Feyre, Under the Mountain.

Just something to think about the next time yall wanna call him pathetic and laugh about his looks.
