This is all coming from someone who works with games—but who often enjoys owning, reading and talking about them a whole lot more than actually playing them.

This amazing advertisement for Quake III: Arena shows that id Software knows their customers better than anyone cares to admit.

Cracked open my old NES to replace the connector and couldn’t help but admire its motherboard.

Here's a little something. The Starship Damrey from the Nintendo 3DS eShop. It's a neat little sci-fi/horror/exploration game made by the excellent Level-5. It's cheap (~$10) and I think you should try it!

Looting in Bioshock Infinite
Am I the only one that finds it a bit weird that you can walk up to someone working at their desk and pocket everything in it without the person even recognizing that you're there?

Picked these up from the Red Cross today. When I was a kid we used to rent a Mega Drive every other week and one of the games I played the most was Jurassic Park. The game is generally considered to be shit but I enjoyed it very, very much (you can play as a Velociraptor!)

I didn't plan on picking up Dead Space 3 any time soon but it's hard to argue against the price of free. Thanks EA!

Quote
"If you know about a Bug or have heard about a Bug and fail to report the Bug to EA [...] you acknowledge that EA reserve the right to lock anyone caught abusing a Bug out of all EA products."
— Make sure you report the bugs you find in the Sim City beta otherwise you might get banned from playing any games from EA. This is absolute nonsense.

I've grown so tired of customers pronouncing the roman numerals in Grand Theft Auto IV as letters so I decided to change the price tag for the game at work. That should teach'em a thing or two.

With my girlfriend and our toddler out of the house, me and my daughter played some Skylanders Giants for the first time without worrying about the toddler raising hell with all the figurines.

I’ve played around with this pup for the past month and I got to say I am impressed. It’s small, convenient and it works with just about anything that has Bluetooth built in. Fancy playing emulators on your PC? It works! Fancy playing Grand Theft Auto III on your tablet? It works! It might be a bit expensive but it makes up for it in terms of sturdiness and build quality.

There is only one demographic that would use the awful Afterglow-headset from PDP. People like my son. The Toddlers.

Boy, do I wish there was a way to skip past the campy dialogue and douchebag-attitude that Forza Horizon is packed with. Driving the cars and exploring Colorado is so much fun but it's really starting to get the best of me…

It's been a while since I played it but I remember it having outrageous writing. Super Paper Mario nails it right here.
