I just don’t think we should be redeeming these characters, it’s not cool or nice. Abusers are abusers even if they had a ruff past. Walburga still tortured her children, Bellatrix still tortured Hermione, Frank, Alice and many more. Greyback still bit children, women and men without consent, Voldemort still killed hundreds because of blood purity, and so many more characters who abused, tortured, assaulted and murdered people stop trying to make them good it’s disgusting.

Ship and write what you want but keep in mind what the character you love so much did. Don’t excuse it please. That’s it.

I hate to be that person but why do people read my fic and not comment? Like it’s makes me very sad that people do that. Like do you hate it? Does it suck? The people around me complement my writing, but it seems like everyone else hates it and it kind of just makes me feel like it sucks but I know people like my work. They just don’t say anything and it’s so heartbreaking to me cause like I see all of like other fanfic writers that I follow get so many comments on their fics and I don’t get any. Is that weird? Is that stupid? I don’t know.

I’m gonna rant, so TikTok is back and for not even 24 hours (mostly British part of) the Marauders fandom has started to hate on us (Americans) for doing things that everyone else in the fandoms does. Make our headcanons not use the specific slang for the Marauders because we are not British, make joke ships or just ships in general. Like you don’t have to read the head canon and you don’t have to read the fanfiction of the ship you don’t like and you can just exit out of a fic if it doesn’t have the slang you want. You are not legally obligated to read a jegulus fic or watch an edit of trans regulus or read our headcanons of plus sized lily. but fandoms are supposed to be a safe place and you are the people who’s making it not safe for people to talk about things that you’re supposed to talk about in a fandom space.

You people complain that the fandom isn’t a safe space anymore, but you are actively the one hating on people’s head cannons, ships, and much more like if you don’t like it you are not legally obligated to like it. Nobody’s going to arrest you. 

Just generally, please stop hating on people for what they head canon for things that they say if you don’t like it don’t read it that is blatantly obvious in all Fandoms and we are American. We are not British. We don’t live in the UK so sometimes we’re not gonna say your slang because we don’t know it .Same thing with the Canadians same thing with the Germans same thing with the French they don’t live in the UK, how would they know your slang or your words for things that’s right they wouldn’t because they don’t live there and we don’t live there. 

Please just keep your rude opinions to yourself and stop hating on Americans because you don’t like something they said because they liked that thought.

Why is it so hard to write dialogue? I mean I have zero friends and no social interactions so that maybe why but it’s making it so hard to write my fanfiction. It’s so awkward just as I am and I HATE IT.

I'm rewatching Arrow (might turn into an Arrowverse rewatch depending on how much I hate myself) and, man, season one Oliver's story is really tragic from the perspective of the housekeeper (Raisa) or, really, just from the perspective of an onlooker.

This man spent 5 years in hell and his support system doesn't care! They are too caught up in themselves to notice that he's struggling (again, this is from the perspective of someone who doesn't know the secret). They literally give up on him after a week or two.

Everyone is expecting him to both be the spoiled rich kid that he was before he left and the perfect mature adult that they've created in their heads. This causes him to hide in the bratty persona to try to find some comfort (angering those around him), while anytime he tries to be mature, no one takes him seriously (leading to more anger at the "hypocrisy"). It is almost painful to see.

To be more specific: his mother is already trying to shove him into taking over the family business, a police detective who desperately wants to prove he's a monster so he can punish him, and an ex who wants to hate him while also being obsessed with him. The only one who is understandable is Thea, his little sister, who is on a downward spiral because she never got the help she needed after she lost her father and brother. It's understandable that the troubled 17 year old would be behaving like thus.

All this drives him into the arms of a mob boss's daughter, which also becomes a toxic relationship, because she is one of the few people who will empathize with him. If it wasn't for Tommy and his new body guard, he would have no support system.

This idea makes me want to see a fanfiction that is either from the perspective of an Oliver who is not the Hood (the Hood still exists, their just a different person) or from the perspective of an OC watching the Queen family drama during season 1. I would write it myself, but I don't think I could write in Oliver's head or know enough about mental health.
