Do you think you’ll explore Hopper’s perspective on the other Lyoko Warriors in any flashbacks?

Because I think he probably has both a massive amount of respect and fondness for Yumi, Odd, and Ulrich. (I also personally believe that if ANY of the kids fell into the digital sea during S4 he most likely would’ve fished them out, it’s just that XANA knew that throwing in Aelita would’ve guaranteed Franz’s appearance.)

And similarly what do you think his thoughts on Jim would be? Because if the timeline is like the original show (if it isn’t I’m sorry if I get this wrong) Then Jim would’ve been 26 while Hopper was at Kadic, which leads me to assume his reaction to Jim just occasionally popping up on Lyoko to be something along the lines of either;

“Is that Jim Morales? He’s still teaching at Kadic, neat….. What’s he doing on Lyoko?”

OR

“Is that Paco the king of disco!?”

I think there's definitely room to explore Hopper's thoughts on the Lyoko Warriors and the respect he gives to each of them. That said, the more I focus on his character and think about the way he behaves, the more I realize how strange that man actually was.

Like, the world of Code Lyoko is, outside of the characters we follow, completely mundane. There are no real superheroes or supernatural events of any kind to speak of. So within the genre they all exist in, it is wildly unsettling to me that this guy just looked at the hand he was dealt and said "Ah yes, these children will save the world. I'll show them how to use my reality-bending WMD".

All this is just to say that Franz Hopper is a very weird dude and trying to get into his headspace is not the easiest thing in the world haha

As for Jim, I think he's happy to see at least one adult in the group- not to mention one who has military training. But I don't think he otherwise knew about him

So will you have your own full explanation for the digital sea in the AU?

Not that it’s particularly necessary, but it’s nice to hear more fan explanations/ideas since all the show really tells us is;

A) Falling into the digital sea will essentially kill you (Well eternal virtualization, but that’s also bad)

B) It’s a representation of the internet and the sea on Lyoko is essentially the internet’s data connecting to the virtual world.

Also it seems like Hopper would’ve put more safety measures in place considering the risk of falling in. (Then again he was essentially out of time to do much about it when he and Aelita virtualized, followed by XANA going rouge.)

Yes, hopefully! I have an explanation for the Digital Sea that I'm hoping is as interesting to the audience as it is to me. However it's also kinda convoluted and esoteric (and has a lot of quantum physics concepts that I really hope I'm using correctly), so if I get to the point in the story where it's explained I hope it wont turn too many people off lol

How did you figure out the design for Sissi’s Lyoko form? Is it based on any specific culture?

Since Sissi is fairly skilled in the Pencak Silat classes she takes with Ulrich (a fact that is rarely brought up in the show, but a fact I adore nonetheless), I wanted to lean into that Indonesian martial arts aesthetic.

It's not exact, and I may tweak her design later to better represent the robes usually worn in the sport, but that's the origin of her outfit.

And as for her horns-

There's a lot of thematic reasons regarding her bull-like behavior and temperament but for the most part it's because I kept thinking of scenes like this and it always made me laugh.

In your Code Lyoko Almost Gods AU are Jeremie and Aelita married or are they merely dating and living together?

They're married at this point ^^

So since Jim keeps his memories of Lyoko past Season 1 in your AU (Which is really cool, BTW you never see many aus that do that) Does William’s possession hit especially hard for him? Because I can only imagine how it’s gotta feel to not only KNOW one of your students is missing and replaced by a clone, but Jim probably was in shambles on the chance he’d have to fight XANA William either on earth OR Lyoko

Oh absolutely. I don't wanna say too much in case I ever get around to doing flashback chapters, but that whole arc would've definitely hit him exceptionally hard.

Jim's role in the group was originally just cover for them at Kadic, so he was probably unable to join them for William's first mission at the end of S3 because of an employee evaluation or something like that. However, knowing that as the only adult in the group, he could've called in sick for work and didn't is a decision that will haunt him for the rest of his life.

Really love all I’ve read about your Code Lyoko AU, but I do have a question about how the Supercomputer handles picking a class for someone.

What would happen if a person fit relatively equally across the criteria for each of the classes? Would the Supercomputer take ages to pick one class or would it just randomly pick a class type in that scenario?

It would likely just pick one at random, or pick an otherwise arbitrary attribute to base the decision on.

The supercomputer is incredibly advanced, but is tragically still from the 80s

How IS digital William still alive and kicking? I thought he disappeared when they got William back and turned off the super computer

Basically the idea I have is that at around the time they noticed him showing signs of self-awareness and creativity in S4, Jeremie and Aelita came to the conclusion of "ah hell, now shutting down his tower is gonna be murder, isn't it?"

So they started working on making him a real clone body that could survive without the supercomputer.

Hi, just wanted to say that I just found your Code Lyoko project and I'm absolutely all over it, it's so so so amazing ;A; the comic is incredibly well-paced and paneled and your style fits perfectly, you are so professional! And the character redesigns? OMG they are amazing, I'm especially excited about Odd's new look and his binge-dyeing after being dumped. It just fits him so wellllll

I am so so happy to see such a cool fan project with such an amazing artstyle, I genuinely hope that you get to continue working on it <3

Thank you all for your patience and your support! Chapter 1 of my little Code Lyoko fan-manga is finally complete!

I hope all of my patrons enjoyed getting to see these pages early as I completed them <3 And if you guys like this enough, I'd love to continue making it. I have a lot of plans for the story and really hope I can share it with all of you.

I've been considering posting this to Webtoon, but I know that website can be pretty strict about fan-comics, so for now I'm just gonna be hosting it on my personal website, or here on tumblr.

A light content-warning: While I'm not incorporating anything too gratuitous or violent in this comic, it's definitely more adult-oriented and features some content that might be somewhat disturbing. Just wanna warn you now in case you're not into that kind of thing.

I hope you don't mind me picking at your brain for the Code Lyoko stuff you've made. Mostly about the classes, are there just three? Force, Strike and Creative or are there more. Also if it's just three it creates a well fitting fighter-mage-thief dynamic which is very cool. And going off that Im assuming that for the OG designs William is Force class, Odd, Yumi and Ulrich are Strike Class and Aelita is obviously a Creative Class Did I get that right?

I'd love a chance to ramble about this concept rn, so sorry if this is a little long. I'm not completely married to there only being three, but for the time being, yes.

The three classes were designed as a way for the supercomputer to appropriately assign powers and weapons that complimented the natural abilities of the person being scanned (granted this was 80s technology and even though Hopper and his team were operating with some SCP-level tech, it still wasn't always exact or perfect)

Creativity Class: Assigned to individuals who were not particularly strong or fast but whose CT scans showed enhanced activity in the creative regions of the brain. Typically given weightless energy-based weapons and environmental abilities. Distinguished by elf ears (because Hopper was a nerd and a Tolkien fan in his youth). Examples: Aelita, Jeremie, Milo (William's Clone) Hopper

Force Class: Assigned to individuals who show promising physical strength. They are not given any secondary physical features but are fitted with body armor and weapons that best align with their developed muscles. Their powers are designed to assist in combat if needed, but take a lot of strength to wield for very long. Examples: Yumi, Ulrich, William, Jim

Strike Class: Assigned to individuals who have more agility, natural energy or above-average senses. They are given lightweight or long-range weapons meant for quick and quiet offensive measures. Their natural abilities are often 'boosted' and their secondary powers are designed to assist their party outside of combat, rather than during. These powers, however, take a lot of energy from the supercomputer and have to be used sparingly (Odd's future-vision makes use of the machine's quantum-computing to map out probable event outcomes down to an atomic level, effectively being a Micro-Return-To-The-Past command). Strike-class avatars are distinguished by animalistic features such as tails/horns/claws/etc. Examples: Odd, Sissi

(Strike-Class is very ADHD-coded)

Across all classes, most of the avatar-assets that were pre-programmed into computer are of Japanese or Indonesian origin (An incredible coincidence for the Lyoko Warriors since Kadic Academy taught Pencak Silat)
