I am deeply annoyed that there wasn't a shame room for Alexei in Thunderbolts. I don't get why we put focus on John Walker having a shame room, when characters like Ghost and Bucky did not. If there was going to be an extra shame room, it should have gone to Alexei.

What would the shame room have been, you ask?

Easy.

Alexei's shame room would have been the moment he willingly gave Natasha and Yelena up. The scene would begin with him him turning, seeing himself on an open airfield, and hearing a panicked, "Daddy, daddy!"

And he turns, seeing Yelena run for the younger version of him, and he hears himself say, so nonchalantly and coldly to Dreykov, "I'll take care of this." He's forced to watch as his girls are sedated and taken away, with his younger self only caring about his suit.

Alexei is yelling, trying to get his girls back, but he can't, and he's yelling at his younger self to do something.

And then later, when Yelena says, "Daddy, I'm so alone," it hits so much harder. Because this time, Alexei is there for her. He doesn't let her go. He fights with her, for her, and when Yelena chooses to enter the void he's trying to go after her -

Anyway, missed opportunity, Marvel.

Because not every character with visible abs has to smirk in a mirror or wear sleeveless shirts 24/7. Sometimes they just move like a body built for speed and sharp turns.

They move with quiet precision. No wasted effort. Like their body has already calculated the trajectory and adjusted mid-step.

Their hands are calloused, not from war—but from pull-ups, gravel trails, and carrying groceries with unnecessary intensity.

They never ask for help lifting things. They also never make a show of it. You blink and the heavy box is already moved.

Clothes hang just right on them, even when they’re half-tucked and wrinkled. You’d hate them for it if they weren’t so chill.
