I have two playlists of songs that I’m currently obsessed with and are listening to on repeat. I try to keep these playlists smaller if I can.

I have like 12 other playlists for different genres and vibes and stuff as well as playlists for certain fandoms/characters for when I write. There are also a couple playlists for specific artists.

LAST MOVIE?

The Band of Brothers accompanying documentary, “We Stand Alone Together” yesterday!!

If we’re talking what actual movie I think it’d be Annabelle Comes Home because my family is currently working our way through The Conjuring cinematic universe. This was probably my least favorite we’ve watched if I’m being real, The Conjuring has always been my absolute favorite horror movie.

Definitely sweet, but savory is great too

RELATIONSHIP STATUS?

I have a wonderful boyfriend of threes years who is almost too supportive of my fandom relations (he won’t beta read any smut I write though 😔 /j)

CURRENT OBSESSIONS?

A lot of historical stuff so like Band of Brothers, The Boys in the Boat, a touch of Masters of the Air, and also general military history. I’m never not obsessed with aviation, airplanes fill in any gaps I have in my brain if I’m being real. I couple months ago I finished a binge watch of 9-1-1 for the first time, so I’ve been reading a lot of 9-1-1 fanfiction. A lot of my fandoms are small so I I usually run out of fanfics and am constantly refreshing their ao3 pages, so having a fandom that big with some much content is heavenly.

LAST THING I GOOGLED

“Business Casual for Women” because I’m convinced it doesn’t exist in the stores at my local mall. I’ve had a job as an engineer for a year now, but I still struggle when shopping because everything is too casual or too busines-y

The weirdest guy I ever met in a church was this boy who referred to “Buzz Aldrin and his husband” going to the moon. I was completely baffled, and when I asked if he’d misspoken, he got really angry and accused me of being deliberately ignorant of the facts. It turned out that he was somehow comvinced that Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong were married. It took five Wikipedia articles to convince him otherwise.

Synopsis: The firefighters of the 118 work with other first responders to save lives in various emergency situations. Throughout this, they must learn to balance their own personal lives with the stressors of the job.

Note: This show is a great combination of drama, humor, and emotion that is definitely worth the watch (though it does require a bit of suspension of disbelief, the emergencies they deal with are WEIRD). The characters have such a great family bond with each other, and their development and interactions are amazing. This show has tons of emotional whump, as well as some great physical whump moments. I highly recommend. There is whump for EVERY main character, and I am not over-exaggerating when I say that.

TW’s: general blood/gore, child abuse and neglect, sexual assault (mild/not shown on screen), PTSD, alcohol and drug abuse, suicide, gun violence, depression and mental illness, panic attacks, death, pregnancy/childbirth, domestic abuse, natural disasters, and various other emergency situations that could be potentially triggering.

My word of advice is if you are uncomfortable with a situation/storyline, skip it. Most emergencies/911 calls are not essential to the overall storyline! I’ve had to skip a few myself, they can get pretty gross sometimes.

So I could totally list family and friends and stuff, but I’m going to do other things because those feel like lame answers

1. Whenever I meet a fellow alum from my college

2. Whenever someone not from Wisco talks highly of EAA AirVenture

3. Whenever someone engages in conversation about airplanes, regardless of their knowledge. If they show interest and it’s not one-sided it’s a win

4. When people overlap in the same fandoms I do. For example, when people are interested in both Boys in the Boat and Masters of the Air.

5. When I go out in the sun for more than 15 minutes and don’t get a sunburn. There are days I could put on a thick layer of sunscreen and still get a sunburn after that short amount of time so any day where I’m outside and don’t burn is a win for me.
