Today, I want to share with you a story that deeply touched me — the story of Waleed Al-Anqar, a father from Gaza, who reached out to me with a plea for help.

Waleed is an engineer, a husband, and the father of a three-year-old boy named Ayman. His family has endured unimaginable suffering during the past 13 months due to the ongoing war in Gaza. They lost their home, their security, and their basic needs. But what breaks Waleed’s heart the most is seeing his little boy grow up in fear and misery.

Now, winter has arrived, making their situation even worse. The family is living in a fragile tent, exposed to the freezing cold. Waleed shared how helpless he feels watching his son shiver through the long nights without warm clothes, heating, or proper shelter. ❄️

Hunger, the harshest of pains

In this war, I have realized that hunger can be the harshest of your pains and the worst of your enemies. I might be able to endure starvation, but I cannot see my kid going through such a pain! Sadly, we are suffering from the lack of food and other necessities and sky-rocketing prices. Believe me, being a father in such circumustances can be a very challenging task!
