→ “Spilled Truths and Alcohol with I’m Drunk, I Love You’ Director, JP Habac
“Rough sand, band music, the end of college tangled in your hair—that’s the kind of good time JP Habac’s 2017 film, I’m Drunk, I Love You, has to offer. It’s all about that salty beach air stinging your eyes, the five-minute intervals that could make or break everything, and the burning taste of alcohol washing away the ghost of desperate kisses on your lips. This film speaks to many of us who have been there; who went through the college experience, who got a little a too drunk, and a little too honest, who fell a little too in love, who got a little too lost in the moment of trying to figure who they are and what they want to be.”

→ The Films of Composer Craig Armstrong
“A good piece of music connects with a film and by doing that, you connect with people emotionally. There are fundamental things that don’t change. People’s human spirit and aspirations don’t change much, and I think film music is the same. All you’re trying to do is communicate with an audience.”

→ “It still doesn’t quite compute how many people have seen it and how many people love it”: Jenny Walser on Heartstopper season three
“Whilst it’s Charlie who’s really struggling with his mental health, Nick is also struggling with knowing how to care for and talk to this person that he absolutely adores and loves. He knows himself he doesn’t have that support from his brother that Charlie does in Tori, which I think is quite a sad element to the story. But it’s quite nice that the relationship between Tori and Nick this season deepens. There are some very lovely moments when they’re both supporting each other and helping each other in how to best support Charlie. He becomes sort of her surrogate brother at some points, and she becomes his surrogate sister. I find that element of what Tori’s able to give to Nick quite lovely because his brother just isn’t emotionally able to be that support for him.”

“There's no question a comedic side. Like, people should be sending more comedies his way. He's clearly got the chops, he's clearly got a physicality to him that's just undeniable.” — Austin Bragg on working with Mike Faist on Pinball: The Man Who Saved the Game

Fun fact about Pinball: The Man Who Saved the Game, Roger Sharpe actually played the Pinball scenes in Mike's stead—except, the winning shot of the film. Mike Faist pulled the plunger and got it on the first take (and then never again afterwards). That take was the one they used for the film.

→ Naheem Garcia On Playing Tashi Duncan’s Father In Challengers Starring Zendaya, Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist
“A lot of my young students, when they found out I was doing the film, they were very excited. They said they wanted to be an entrepreneur like Zendaya is. She’s a very warm, very nice young lady, and very about her business.”

→ ‘Challengers’ Interview: Jake Jensen On Working With Zendaya And The Psychology Of Tennis
“Josh O’Connor didn’t really know anything about tennis before filming. He even had to learn how to score. We did a crash course in what a three-set match can look like, the scoring and the tie-break. I rode on the bus everyday with Josh so that gave us a bit of time to chat. He was obviously learning as much as he could as fast as he could. But there are a lot of details in any sport to try and pick up and learn. I think the more he felt he could get, the better job he could do for his character, [Patrick Zweig].”

→ "Henry Butash On The Making Of The Atlantic City Story With Broadway Stars Mike Faist And Jessica Hecht"
“I think where Mike’s so great is just, even when he’s not delivering dialogue, he’s just giving such a strong performance with his looks. You can always feel him thinking when you look at him—you can see him thinking. Which is sort of the mark of really good film acting, at least.”

→ “It was such a labour of love”: Jessica Hecht on The Atlantic City Story
“Mike Faist is so compelling as an actor. He’s extremely open and very meticulous in his work. But also, even when you’re watching him in a big Broadway stage, he’s so truthful and there’s something very gentle about his performance style. He’s just very delicate in what he does. I was blown away by him. There was a lot of dialogue and we would play with it in different iterations, and he was so available! I actually probably have never worked with another co-star who was quite as available and quite as easy on film. He was just magnificent.”
