For ref I'm in central Florida, the high today is 94F (34.5C) with a heat index of 104F (40C).

Generally during the day in the spring/summer the AC is set between 72-78F (22-25C) depending on temp, humidity, and rain condition. Once the sun goes down and over night we cool it down to as low as 66F (19C). There a few reasons we crank the AC in the evenings: more people are home, the cost of power is noticeably cheaper, the AC works better when not battling daytime temps and the sun.

We have a smart thermostat I've programed to work with the weather rather than against it and know when we'll be home. In practicality the temp rarely gets above 74F (23C).
