Somewhere after the movie
There were many things Lydia got from her little trip back to Beacon Hills, but the most important of them all was a lesson.
A lesson in holding on to the things and the people we love because it might be too late if we don’t.
It was hard to be back, especially after the past year. To go back on those streets, the same places and with the same people she grew up with… well, almost.
The most important person wasn’t there.
She knew that she was to blame for that, that maybe he didn’t want to go knowing that she’ll be there. She also knew how hard he worked, so maybe he just got caught up with a case and couldn’t find the time to drive down.
Either way, Stiles wasn’t there. And it felt wrong.
It felt wrong to be detectives without him, to tie a red string on a board and not have him fussing over it, tying it around his fingers anxiously as he tried to figure it out.
But that was her fault, too. It was she who left, her who put a stop to what they had because she was scared. Scared of a nightmare that felt too real not to pay it any mind. And, after her record, she didn’t want to risk it. Not when it came to Stiles. She lost him so many times already.
“Are you okay, Lyd?” Jackson asks. It’s been nice to have him around. The whole bringing-Allison-back thing was hard enough, she needed a support system if her usual one was gone.
She’s glad at least that worked out, and maybe it was seeing Scott and her best friend get back together as if no time had passed, or maybe it was the fact that she had to catch Allison up with everything she missed the past fifteen years, and the memory lane wasn’t a fun ride to go down.
“You don’t look surprised,” Lydia asked her best friend after she finished the re-cap of her story.
“About Stiles? How could I?” Allison laughed. “Lyds, you kept denying it but I could see it from a mile away. Besides, I do remember that kiss. Even with everything that was going on, you two… you were meant to be.”
The words still play in her head now as Jackson waves his hand in front of her.
“Sorry, what were you saying?” Lydia asks, turning to face him. He just rolls his eyes in annoyance. He really became a totally different person after he left Beacon Hills, but Lydia thinks he likes it better like this, funnily enough.
“You need to talk to him,” Jackson blurts out.
“Talk to who?” She frowns.
“Oh, come on, you’re the smartest woman in the world, I’m pretty sure you can figure that one out.”
“I—I can’t, Jackson. I can’t go back. I don’t even know if he still—“
“This is Stiles we’re talking about. The guy’s been in love since… what, eighth grade?”
“Third, actually—“
“Even better! Trust me, he’s not… he’s still in love with you. It would be stupid of him not to.”
“I just don’t think it’s fair. After all, it was me who left without a warning,” she sighs.
“Fine, then wait until the next supernatural crisis hits and we can all come back here and make it awkward like Malia and Scott! What the fuck happened between those two, anyway?”
“Beats me…” Lydia says.
“I’m just saying, I think you should call him. Or show up at his doorstep and tell him what happened. He’d do that for you.”
And Jackson is right about that, Stiles would do that for her. He’d do anything for her. Once, after they moved to San Francisco, her bosses were being dicks and not giving her enough credit and he actually conducted an investigation that got them in trouble for neglecting their workers.
“I’ll see what I do, but thanks for coming and… for everything else,” she hugs him. It’s time for him to catch his plane back to London.
“Of course, but remember—“
“No word of this to Ethan. Got it,” she chuckles. “Have a safe flight!”
“Call him!” Is the last thing he says before he closes the door and heads inside the airport. Lydia sighs and holds the steering wheel harder, thinking.
When she closes her eyes, he sees the dream again, so clearly, so vividly, Stiles on the floor, glass shattered all around him, and the car on fire. He’s not breathing, and all Lydia can do is scream, but nobody hears her.
She shakes her head and starts driving back to San Francisco. It’s gonna be a long ride, but she hopes that she’s made a decision by the end of it.
(…)
There are few things Lydia missed about using her powers again, but the random blackouts weren’t one of them.
That’s the only possible reason she can think of as to why she’s parked her car in front of Stiles’ apartment. Or maybe it was just muscle memory.
Or both.
Call him.
“Fuck it.” She says and she gets out of the car, trying to make herself look presentable as if Stiles hadn’t seen her at her worst. As if he hadn’t loved her even when she was locked up in an asylum, with her head drilled open.
As she heads to the door, her heart starts to beat way too quickly for comfort.
Maybe this is a horrible idea. Perhaps she should’ve called. What if he’s not home? What if he’s got someone over? She probably should’ve texted first to make sure he didn’t hate her.
“Lydia?”
She doesn’t even get to ring the doorbell.
But, of course, he must’ve felt the red string of fate pulling as she got closer.
“Hi,” her voice barely comes out, which is funny for a Banshee. “I—“
“Oh, my God,” he drops the bags he was carrying and walks to her to hug her so tightly she can barely breathe. “You’re okay, thank God.”
She doesn’t know what to say, how to act. It takes her a few seconds to hug him back, too startled. But this is the place she belongs in: his arms.
“Scott texted and… I didn’t know you’d be going back, too. Beacon Hills was—“
“It was Allison, of course, I went back,” Lydia says. “It was… weird being there without you, you know? We all missed you, I missed you.”
“Did you?” He asks, and Lydia knows that he has every right to be defensive, but she doesn’t want him to be.
“Of course, I did. I—“ she sighs. “Listen, can we talk? Upstairs, maybe? Or if you don’t want to, I can come back another day or we can meet up somewhere else that doesn’t feel so personal, or you can tell me to get the fuck out and—“
“I would never do that,” he says, and it hurts that Lydia knows. Even when she’s hurt him so many times, he still wouldn’t. “Let me—I was on my way to take out the trash, so let me do that and then you can come up, sure.”
“Cool, yeah, sure, do you need any help with that?” She asks, pointing at the bags, but he shakes his head, smiling slightly.
“Wouldn’t want you to stain those boots. They’re your favorite, aren’t they? Or maybe you got a new favorite pair now.”
“I don’t,” she says, maybe a bit too quickly. The fact that he remembers makes something warm burn inside her. The same fire that’s been burning for over fifteen years and didn’t die even when they were apart.
She watches him go down the stairs to the bins down the street and come back with his checkered pajama bottoms and a plain white t-shirt that Lydia knows he loves to sleep in.
It feels like nothing has changed except it has. Many things have changed. Dead people aren’t dead anymore and people who weren’t dead before, are.
“Alright, let’s go?” He asks once he gets back to her, and she just shyly nods before she follows him inside.
She knows the way to his apartment by heart, and could probably get there with her eyes closed if she wanted to, but she enjoys the sight of him. His hair is a bit longer, much like it was when they were in high school.
She feels like she just jumped on a time machine and they’re back to the days when discovering dead bodies around their town was the norm. Well, he still kind of does, but he always said it wasn’t as fun without the rest of the pack.
“Welcome. I’m sorry about the mess, I wasn’t really… expecting anyone,” he chuckles, scratching the back of his neck as he moves to the side to allow Lydia to walk in.
The fact that it still looks exactly the same as the last time she was here gives her a bit of whiplash. Only the pictures of them two are gone, but Lydia doesn’t blame him for that.
At least the ones of the whole pack are still there.
“It’s okay, I’m used to your mess,” she smiles a bit, hoping it wasn’t too much for her to say.
“Yeah, after hanging out in my teenage bedroom, I’d say you’re good,” he chuckles as well and closes the door behind her.
It’s a bit awkward as they sit on the couch in silence, and Lydia is starting to second-guess coming here in the first place.
“What did you want to talk about?” He eventually asks, and Lydia is surprised that she founds herself at a loss for words. That’s never happened before.
“I… These few days have been very intense. Going back there, seeing all the people from our past… Allison coming back and losing Derek was very hard. It showed me the importance of not holding anything back because it might be too late.” She looks down at her hands as she starts fidgeting with her fingers nervously. She always does that.
“Hey, Lyd? It’s alright,” he reaches over and holds her hand the same way he always did. The same way he used to unwrap the colored strings they used for their detective maps, the same way he did when he put a ring on her finger. A ring she left behind when she left.
“Is it, though? Don’t you hate me even a little bit?” She asks, now turning to look at him. “Because, trust me, I do. I hate myself. I hate myself for leaving you like that, but I didn’t have a choice,” she says. “I— I’m sorry that I left like that, so suddenly and without explaining. I couldn’t—“
“Do you want to explain it now?” He asks, as gentle as usual, just as patient.
“I had a nightmare one night… we were driving somewhere and suddenly, it all turned black, there was a crack on the window, and you… you were on the floor, surrounded by glass and I couldn’t move. I couldn’t reach you, but you weren’t breathing.” She gulps. “And I know that I’ve had nightmares before, we both have, but—It kept happening, every night I dreamed the same thing until the point where I didn’t know if it was a dream or if it was a premonition.”
“Well, I’m not dead, am I?” He asks.
“You’re not, because I left. I was there in the dream, so I thought that… if I left, then—“
“You have to be kidding me,” he says, standing up. “Lydia Martin, you—“
“I couldn’t lose you, okay? Not like that! I—I couldn’t face you dying, Stiles. I’m sorry, I know it was selfish, but I just—I couldn’t be the reason why you died.”
“So losing me anyway was the best idea you had? Why didn’t you tell me?!”
“Because I was scared! I was terrified of triggering it, so I just—“ she sighs. “I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have come. I had no business stirring up the past like that, you—you never deserved it.” She stands up and starts to head for the door.
“Hey, hey, hold on, I never said that,” he reaches out to stop her, grabbing her arm. “I’m just saying… Lydia, I’ve been in love with you since the third grade. Even when you barely acknowledged my existence, I loved you. Did you really think that I stopped?”
“You should have,” Lydia says with a bitter laugh.
“Yeah, well, I also should have stayed home that night that Scott got bitten, I should have studied more for my exams instead of going around the woods every night, and I should have made sure to keep my Jeep in top-tier condition so it wouldn’t keep breaking, I should have done many things, but we all know I never was too good at doing what I should, was I?” He says, a smile on his face. “So, tell me, Lydia, why did you actually come here? Just to tell me that? So that I could… find closure and move on?”
“I came because I missed you. Because being back in Beacon Hills without you felt wrong and made me realize how much I wished that I’d stayed. How much I regretted letting that nightmare drive me away from the only thing that I’ve ever had. You—You’re the love of my life, Stiles. And every second I’ve spent without you has been torture.”
“I’d say we’ve both been tortured enough in the past, haven’t we?” And with a swift pull, Lydia finds herself colliding against his chest. “Let’s stop that,” he says before he presses their lips together.
And even though she’s been back in Beacon Hills, this is her true Homecoming. She wraps her arms around Stiles’ neck and deepens the kiss, making up for all the time they lost.
“I love you so much,” she whispers against his lips, feeling her own tears rolling down her face.
“And I love you,” Stiles says back with a smile. “Next time you have a nightmare, tell me about it instead of taking off in the middle of the night, yeah?”
“I’ll try. If I don’t, come find me.”
“Alright, deal.” And he kisses her again, and again, and again, for all the times he couldn’t, for all the nights he wished she was still in her arms, for all the minutes of the day he’s spent thinking about her since he left.
And, when they find their way back to bed, Stiles gets a box out of his bedside table and hands it to her.
“You kept it?” Lydia’s eyes open wide when she sees the ring.
“Always kept hoping you’d come back,” he admits, sliding the ring on her finger and kissing it after. “I’m glad I was right.”
“I am, too.”
And the world might still be a freaky place with werewolves, banshees, kitsunes, nogitsunes, dark druids, and people coming back from the dead, but in their little bubble, it’s just them.
It’s always been just them.

(Hopefully) Somewhere in 6A
Before you start reading I would like to thank my beloved @startoftimes and @martinselski for the idea for this :’’)
It was prom night but nothing was ordinary about it. Instead of being nervous about my dress or whether I was going to be elected prom queen or not, I was on my way to save someone. Someone who meant the world to me, and someone who had been erased from everyone’s memory. And how did I know he meant the world to me if he had been wiped out of my memory? Because when he was taken by the Wild Hunt, the void inside me was so big I knew something was missing and not knowing what was driving me insane. I started remembering bits and pieces: a chocolate bar in the ice pit, a dance, a red string; an old, blue jeep; a voice calling my name from the distance and suddenly everything came to me like if I was struck by lightning. Stiles. I loved him and he was gone. And then I remembered what he said before they took him. He needed me to remember because everybody else forgot who he was but I didn’t. I remembered him and I thought it was because of my banshee power that I somehow was resisting it but maybe it was something else. Maybe, as Deaton said so many years ago, we had an emotional tether and we belonged to each other. I tried so hard to get people to remember him but how are they going to remember someone that does not exist anymore? They thought I was crazy, they thought the banshee thing was taking over and I was losing my mind. Scott slowly started to believe me and he was losing himself thinking that he forgot his best friend. It was horrible to watch him break like that and that is why we didn’t stop until we found him and got him back. I lost count of how long he was gone but it felt like years to me. Today was finally the day. We got a location and we were getting him out. How many people would be in the same place as him and how many forgotten souls must’ve been there for years. But we would get everyone out, we had to. It was time to go. The whole pack should be waiting at the meeting point already.
“Going out sweetheart? I thought you guys weren’t doing prom” mum said while she got ready. She was one of the supervisors along with coach and the new chemistry teacher.
“And we are not, we’re just going out mum. I’ll be back before you return hopefully and if I don’t, I will call you” I said kissing her cheek.
“Don’t do anything dangerous, okay?
“Yeah, don’t worry”.
I grabbed my keys and headed out. I got into my car and as I put the key in the engine I heard a voice. “Remember I love you” and I smiled. “I love you too. Hold on, we’re coming.” I said to myself hoping somehow he heard it.
(...)
“Okay guys, ready?” said Scott. We were in the middle of nowhere but Deaton told us this is where he would be.
“Scott, there is literally nothing here” said Malia. She was right.
“He is here. I know he is.”
“Okay then we just need to find where exactly.” said Liam. The whole pack was here because the occasion calls for it. “Shall we split up to see what we find?” we all agreed and split up. We were in the middle of the woods and we all had our flashlights out. Suddenly, I step into something and my mind went back to a day where I almost lost a foot on an animal trap but he saved me. He was always saving me and not it was my chance to save him and once I did, I would tell him how I felt because I didn’t have the chance to do it before they took him. I just hoped he knew. I got back to reality and saw how a door opened right next to me on the floor.
“Guys? I think I found it” I said going in.
“Lydia wait!” I heard Scott’s voice but I just kept walking. Suddenly I was running but someone stopped me. “Hey, I wanna see him too but wait for the rest of us, we have no idea what we’re walking into here” The rest of the pack joined us and we started walking through some dark tunnels together.
“Are these the same tunnels that run under Eichen?” asked Mason “because I am done with them. Too many things happened there”.
“I don’t think they are but who knows anymore” said Malia. “Wait, I think I hear something.” I started listening but I couldn’t hear anything. Scott and the rest of wolves did though. “I think there’s a lot of people here. How are we going to get them all out?”
“It doesn’t matter how but we are doing it” said Scott. “I came here for my friend. I’m coming for everyone”. Suddenly I heard someone breathing heavily and my head started to hurt.
“I can’t, I can’t breathe” I heard his voice.
“Lydia! Lydia are you alright?” Scott said. I didn’t even notice I was on the floor. I nodded.
“I am alright, but I think he is in danger. Even more.”
“Okay guys we need to hurry. Lydia felt something was wrong so, something must be really wrong by now. Let’s go, let’s save everyone in here”. Scott said and we followed him, our leader, until the end.
(...)
The Riders found us and everyone was fighting but I could not. My head hurt too much to focus my powers on fighting. I kept hearing heavy-breathing and Stiles having a panic attack and it was getting louder by the second. I couldn’t take it anymore so I let it all out. I screamed. As I did, a memory popped into my head. The panic attack was not happening now. It happened about a year ago and I was there. How could I forget that? Of course I was there. I kissed him. I thought it didn’t mean anything then. I thought I was just saving him from himself. But I was wrong, of course I was wrong.
“Lydia! Run!” I heard his voice. My head was going to explode. But I did what he said. I ran. I ran until I reached a door and opened it, leaving everyone behind. “Lydia?” I heard again and I fell to the floor, pressing my head with my hands because it hurt so much.
“Enough!” I screamed agin. “Just help me find him” I said to myself. I had my eyes closed and was focusing on my breathing, trying to calm down so my head would stop hurting so much. “Okay, good.” I opened my eyes and saw hundreds of people looking at me. People I had never seen in my life. They were all looking at me very weird, obviously. I got up and cleaned my clothes because the floor was dusty. “Hello, don’t be afraid” I said. There were even children in here. Imagine having a child taken from you and not even remembering. Oh wait, the Sheriff went through that and it was terrible. Thank God that pushed him towards Melissa and she was there for him because I don’t know what could’ve happened to you if he was by himself. “We’re going to get you out of here, okay? You’re going home”
“Well, finally” I heard someone said and without realizing i was back on the floor, bleeding in the football field. “Took you long enough”
“Excuse me? Peter?” I said confused. I didn’t even know I knew him until I heard his voice.
“Oh, you didn’t forget me after all this time? That’s sweet” he smirked and I wanted to punch him in the face.
“Shut your mouth Peter” I heard and turned around. I didn’t realize he was there but there he was. “Just, shut up please”. I didn’t know what to say. I just stay frozen there, looking at him. I was sure he thought I forgot about him but I didn’t I just couldn't say a word. He looked nervous and I wanted to tell him everything was okay but I could not. “Hey, remember me?” he said smirking, terrified of hearing the answer but he heard none. I just threw myself into his arms and hugged him so hard i thought my own bones were going to break.
“Hey”I said. “I told you I would not forget you. Although being honest, I did for like a day but I missed your annoying face too much” I laughed but before I realized I was crying. “I am so sorry, Stiles”
“Hey, hey, hey, don’t be sorry.” he said stroking my hair “I did this to myself. I could’ve ran but I didn’t want to put you in danger. And now you’re here. You came back for me. You remembered me.”
“Well, it was my turn now don’t you think?” I said breaking the hug and looking at him. He wiped the tears off my face.
“Okay, you lovebirds. Can we get out of here now? I’ve been here long enough.” Peter said again. We both rolled eyes at the same time and I opened the door.
“How did you manage to not kill him in all this time?” I whispered at him.
“I still don’t know.” he said and smiled.
“Lydia? Lydia where are you?” I hear Malia’s voice. I told him I was okay and that I found them. She wasn’t far so she came to help guide everybody out. When she saw Stiles her eyes lid up which meant that she remembered him. It did not happen when she saw Peter though but who can blame her.
“Hey. Where’s Scott?” asked Stiles.
“He should be with the rest of the pack. Liam got hurt so he stayed with him.” replied Malia. We made it out of the tunnels without any troubles. After all, they made sure the coast was clear for us to escape. When we were almost at the door, there was Scott. When he saw us he got up in a  heartbeat and started running towards us. Stiles started running two and they met halfway in a hug.
“Scott there’s something I didn’t have the chance to tell you before I got… you know” Stiles says. “I love you, brother”
“God, I missed  you”Scott said while hugging him again.
(...)
We were in Scott’s house. It was the first place we thought of going because we all knew the Sheriff would be there. Their reunion was heartbreakingly beautiful. I remember now Stiles’ face when he realized everyone was forgetting him before they took him and I get why he cried so much when his dad called him by his name. Everyone was shocked and confused but I already knew. I found out while trying to remember him. I started writing a name randomly and didn’t know why or what it meant but one day the sheriff saw it and a light went on inside his mind and he remembered something. That’s how I learnt his name. I won’t tell you though, it’s a secret. They decided to throw Stiles a welcome party since we did not buy tickets to go to prom but we decided to go to my place instead of staying at Scott’s.
“I must admit I am pretty disappointed in you Scotty” said Stiles “I expected you to reply to my ‘i love you’ with an ‘I know’. It would have been the perfect Han Solo/Leia moment.” Scott stood there blank. “Oh my God” Stiles facepalmed himself. “I give up! I am done! I can’t believe you did not watch them while I was gone!” He said screaming. The whole situation was too funny I couldn’t stop laughing.
“Man, I didn’t even remember I had a best friend how was I supposed to remember to watch Star Wars?” Scott laughed too.
“YOU SHOULD’VE KNOWN” He said. He looked pretty upset but he started laughing not long after. It felt great having him back. It finally felt like we were all together again. Well, almost complete. Kira was still in the desert trying to fight her fox and well, we lost many along the way… “You okay?” Stiles asked me. I smiled and nodded. I didn’t want to ruin his comeback party. He was speaking with everyone. They were asking him questions about how it was down there with Peter all that time and he started telling us some stories. Before we realized it was past midnight. The younger one started leaving and Malia left too. Scott just didn’t want to leave his brother behind after all that time without him. But I needed him to go. I didn’t have any time with Stiles since we got him back and I had many things to tell him.
“So, Scott don’t you think it’s time to go home?” I said not very subtle.
“Oh my god, yeah, sorry. Let’s go Stiles, you must be very tired” he said and got up. I wanted to kill him, honestly. But it was true, he should be very tired so I didn’t say anything. I could tell him the following day.
“Yeah, where am I sleeping though? My bed must be gone” he looked at Scott and he smiled at him. “Sleepover!” they said at the same time. They were two children but I loved them.
“Okay you two, see you tomorrow” I said looking at Stiles.
“Good night Lyds” he said and I smiled at him but I had the feeling it wasn’t the realest one. His face changed but it was too late. I had already closed the door. I locked it and started picking up all the cola cans and the plates of chips I brought out. It was all picked up when I heard music playing from upstairs. I got scared so I picked a knife from the kitchen and headed upstairs quietly and carefully. The songs kept changing like someone was looking for the perfect song and suddenly, they stopped and I dropped the knife. I was lucky not to stab myself with it. Stiles was there with a tuxedo. How on earth did he have time to change so quick? He was smiling holding his phone.
“What are you doing?” I asked. “How did you in?”
“How do you think I got in? You shouldn’t leave your windows open in a town like this Lydia Martin, a psychopath might climb in. Or it could just be me, but still.” I laughed. “As for what I am doing here, well… Turns out we missed Prom. And turns out I’ve been gone for a long time. It also turns out that Scott was carrying a tuxedo in his bag, as you can tell it is pretty wrinkled. So, since all these things happened, I wanted to ask you a question. Would you dance with me for the last time in our high school lives? You were the first, it’s only fair you are the last too.” he smiled.
“But the dress isn’t pretty enough.” I say shocked.
“I think you look beautiful” he said. “You looked beautiful then and you look beautiful now and you probably will look beautiful until the day you die, Lydia. Because you are beautiful. In and out”.
“Well, in that case, I’d love to dance with you Mr. M…”
“DON’T YOU DARE.” he screamed and I laughed.
“Stiles” I say and vow, lifting the sides of my dress. He smiles and starts walking towards me. I offer him my hand and he takes it with a smile. He takes me to the middle of the room and with his phone turns on the music and the song that started playing was indeed perfect. “May I” by Trading Yesterday. I put my hands around his neck and he puts his around my waist. We are quiet while we dance and many memories keep coming back to me. Not that I forgot them again, but being him with him just reminds me how much he means to me and how much I want to tell him. “Hey Lydia…” he started saying. “I wanted to ask you something.”
“What is it?” I said lifting my head from his shoulder and looking at him.
“Remember what I said before they took me?” He said nervously. Of course I remember, how could I forget that.
“Remember how you were the first girl I ever danced with? Or how I had a crush on you on freshmen year, sophomore year, junior year? Remember how you saved my life? Remember I…” I started saying but he cut me. I had memorized his words and repeated them every night before going to bed to make sure I remembered him in the morning.
“Okay, you remember. A yes would have been enough.” He said avoiding my gaze.
“Of course I remember” I smile. “Although the last sentence is a bit blurry in my mind. I think it must have been the shock of seeing them take you right after. My mind just cannot remember what you said.” I say trying to catch his attention. His eyes are wide open and I want to laugh but I would rather swallow my laugh to hear him saying it again.
“Well, that’s funny uhm” he started getting nervous. “The last thing I told you was to… remember I… I love you, Lydia” he said again, looking into my eyes. “That’s why I didn’t say senior year when I was telling you I had a crush on you, because I don’t anymore. It’s not a crush anymore. I love you and I have never been so sure about anything else in my life.”
“I know” I said, trying to make his Star Wars dreams come true. “And here’s something you don’t remember. I love you, too” I say and his smile widens.
“Lydia, you’re so amazing I could kiss you right now!” he said and looked at me, asking for permission but instead of replying I just went on my tiptoes and kissed him.
“Next time, don’t even ask. Okay?” I said smiling and he nodded looking at me as if he had seen a ghost. “What’s wrong?” I asked scared and turned around thinking there’s someone behind me.
“Nothing I just… I can’t believe after all this time, this is actually happening. I’m just scared I am going to wake up and still be locked up down there.”
“Well, you better believe it Stilinski because I am not going anywhere, and neither are you.” I said and smiled, kissing him again. And I kissed him with all the love I had kept stored for when he came back. I kissed him with everything I had in me. And I loved him as if the world would end the next morning and for once, I didn’t care. All I cared about was right there with me.

Senior Prom (Stydia AU)
'Are you ready?' Mum said as I was staring at my image in the mirror. After everything that had happened that year it was crazy that I was here at all. I smiled and turned around.  'Yeah, ready.' She smiled at me and by the look on her face I know she was thinking the same thing.  'Everyone is downstairs waiting for you, come on' she said offering me her arm to hold on which I thankfully accepted and taking my clutch we headed downstairs and I heard the voices, the voices of my friends. I saw Kira wearing a beautiful black dress holding Scott's hand. He was wearing a tux and looked at her with nothing but love in his eyes. Then there was Malia looking very uncomfortable with her high heels but beautiful nonetheless with a short creamy dress and then there was him, Stiles, looking at me as I was coming down the stairs. It reminded me to our first prom when he came to pick me up and I was so embarrassed to even going with him but it turned to be the best decision I ever made. He was wearing a black tux with a blue bow tie and his beautiful smile. When I finally got down everyone turned to look at me and smiled.  'Now that you're all here, get together for a picture!' said mum smiling. I laughed and made my way to where the pack was standing. 'I love your dress!' said Kira smiling. I thanked her laughing because after all we went to get them together with Malia because she wanted to wear jeans and I couldn't have that. Not at our senior prom.  'Okay guys, say "Beacon Hills"' said mum and we all did, laughing. She took the picture and took another two just in case.  'Okay now that we have proof that I was wearing this awful shoes I'm going to change' said Malia changing her shoes to a pair of black converse that surprisingly didn't look that bad with the dress and she looked much more herself.  'Better?' Stiles said 'At least now you can stop complaining about how much they felt like one of your dad's traps' he laughed and she threw him a killer look that made all of us laugh.  'Okay guys it's time, let's go' said Scott. We laughed because it was true; we were going to be late if we didn't leave. I kissed mum goodbye and we headed out to find a black limo waiting for us at the door. I looked back and saw mum smiling. 'Have fun' she said and we all screamed back to her that we would.
After a long ride we finally got to Beacon Hills High School. The parking lot was full and there were loads of students waiting to get in. We thanked the driver and got out one by one. I was the last one because I had been the first one to get in. I pulled up my dress to not rip it somehow and I saw someone's hand offering help. It was Stiles' and I took it.  'This was so much better than your Jeep don't you think?' I laughed and he looked somehow offended but I know he was joking. 'Well one thing that hasn't changed since the last prom is that I still think you look beautiful.' He said looking at me, smiling and making me blush the same way he did 3 years ago. 'Shall we?' He asked offering me his arms and i laughed. The rest of the pack was way ahead of us already so we both tried to hurry up. In our way we found Liam, Hayden, Mason and Corey arrive as well and they waved at us.  We got to the door and coach asked us for our tickets.  'Stilinski I still can't believe you convinced me to come here' he said marking our tickets.  'Come on coach, it's our last night together I know you don't want to miss it' he smiled. 'But don't start crying, you still have the respect of some of our younger players' laughed and I did as well. Truth is I loved to see Coach there because it reminded me to the days when everything was easier and there weren't any demonic murderers in town. 'Shut up and get inside Stilinski. Have a great night Miss Martin' he said smiling to me. We smiled and got inside the gym. Everything looked beautiful and very fairytale-ish.  'Let's go find everyone' I said shouting in his ear because the music was too loud for him to hear me otherwise. He nodded and we made our way through the dance floor. We found everyone sitting in one of the tables.  'So here we are' Scott said. 'After everything we went through we're finally here. We're gonna graduate and go to college and leave this town.' Although I had already thought about somehow it made me feel really sad. The thought of saying goodbye to all of them made me feel very upset. 'But let's not think about that now.' Said Kira. 'And let's go make the most of our last night in high school!' She said and we all headed to the dance floor.
After having dance for what it felt like an eternity I decided to sit down for a bit. From our table I could still see them dance and both Scott and Stiles were making fools of themselves which was beyond amusing for us. Kira was laughing at them while Malia was dancing with the young puppies of the pack. Suddenly the music slowed down and it was time for a slow dance. I saw Scott take Kira's hand and make her twirl. And while looking at them I didn't notice that there was someone standing in front of me.  'You wanna dance?' asked Stiles looking at me. 'For old times' sake?' I laughed and took his hand taking him to the dance floor. I placed my arms around his neck and smiled at him. 'For old times' sake' I mouthed and he smiled while wrapping his arms around my waist. My head was pressed against this shoulder and although he couldn't see me I was smiling. It just felt right being here like this after all.  'Hey' i said raising my head. The music wasn't very loud now so there was no point shouting. 'I wanted to thank you.'  'What for?' He said looking at me and taking one of my hands trying make me twirl but he didn't manage to do it so I laughed. He was such a dork but I loved it. 'Sorry' he laughed as he tried not to blush.  'What were you trying to thank me for?' He said as our hands were tangled and his other hand rested in my hip.  'Everything I guess.' I smiled at him and he smiled back. 'I just can't believe how much things have changed since the last time we were here, like this' I said going back to resting my head on his shoulder.  'I know. It's crazy' he said.  'Here is where everything began. I remember going after Jackson and then... Then all the bad things that happened to me started with that bite from Peter' I sighed and I felt as he wrapped me closer to him in a hug. 'But not everything was bad you know... I finally understood what real friendship is thanks to you guys and I also discovered what love it's supposed to feel like.'  'And how is that?' He said and I smiled.  'Like, you know. How a person would risk everything for you even if it meant losing himself? And how someone wouldn't just see your looks but see through you? And someone who doesn't get tired of saving your life even if you are stupid enough not to thank him for it? And you know what it feels like when that person walks into the room and everything just feels okay again. Do you know how that feels like?' I said looking at him with tears in my eyes. I blinked and shed one tear. He then smiled and whipped it away with his thumb.  'I do. It's the feeling I get when I look at you. And I will never get tired of saving your life because my life would make no sense without you in it. I'm not even upset about you not knowing that it was me who saved you the night that Peter bit you because after all you were alive and there was nothing else that mattered more.' He said and something inside me fell into place and everything suddenly made sense. It was him. It had always been him. I looked up again meeting his gaze and more tears were threatening to fall. 'I will never get tired of doing those things because I love you Lydia. I've loved you since we were kids and although I tried, i never stopped.' He smiled and my tears started to fall because I loved him too. But it wasn't fair for me to tell him now that we were both going to college and we might not see each other again but I wanted to. I wanted to tell everyone that I loved him, especially him. So I broke the distance that was separating us and kissed him. But it wasn't like last time... We were both pretty conscious of what we were doing and no one's life was at stake. I kissed him and could feel his surprise at first but also a little smile which made me profoundly happy. We broke our touch and smiled.  'I love you too' I said and I could see a little grin in his face.  'What was that? I didn't catch it' he said whispering in my ear. I rolled my eyes and said it again a bit louder just when the song stopped and the whole gym fell in silence looking at us. My face turned red and I hid it in his shoulder as he laughed loudly and I could see Scott's smile towards us.  'Happy?' I said laughing 'Oh trust me, I've never been happier' he smiled and kissed me again.

Doctor Who / Stydia Fanfic
It had been pretty much a month since the last time I travelled with the Doctor and life was becoming really boring again. Rory was back working at the hospital and I was home. I was on the sofa reading one of my stupid subscription magazines when I heard it. The sound I had been craving to hear for so long. The TARDIS. I turned to the window seeing the blue box materialize in front of my eyes and I ran towards the door. I instantly opened the door finding my raggedy man there, with his stupid bow tie.
‘Where have you been?’ I asked furiously. He turned around looking at me with his stupid smile. I swear he’s like a kid most of the time.
‘What do you mean where have I been? I saw you a few minutes ago?’ he asked trying his best to not make it sound like a question but it was. I shook my head. ‘How late am I this time?’ he asked.
‘About a month or so’ I answered crossing my arms. ‘I’ve been bored out of my mind you know’
‘Where’s Mr Pond?’ he asked.
‘My dad?’ I answered. What the hell had my dad to do with all of this?
‘What about your dad?’ he said confused. ‘I meant Rory’ he said as if it was obvious. Who was I kidding, it was.
‘Oh, he’s working back at the hospital’ I said. ‘It’s been so long we thought you had found someone else to travel with you so he went back to his normal life and I went back to being bored’ I raised my shoulders.
‘What a loser’ he said and I gave him a killer look. ‘I would never replace you Ponds you are very fun to travel with’ He smiled fixing his bow tie. I went ahead and gave him a big hug.
‘I’ve missed you Raggedy Man’ I said still hugging him.
‘Me too Amelia’ he said smiling and pushed me back. ‘Okay, let’s go then!’ he said starting to pull all the levers of his precious TARDIS while it started to move.
‘Wait what? What about Rory?’ I asked him while pulling back the levers. ‘We can’t simply leave him behind! We’re married now Doctor!’ I screamed but he just smiled.
‘Oh come on Pond! For the sake of old times’ he said looking at me waiting for my approval on his crazy idea.
‘Okay but we come back on the same exact point in time. I don’t wanna appear a year later with my husband thinking I’m gone’ I laughed pulling the lever again. ‘Hello my friend’ I said as the TARDIS did her usual sound. (Yes I said her. Blame the Doctor.)
‘So: where to Pond?’ he asked. And I started to think about it. Where could I choose to go?
‘I wanna go to the moment where my parents first kissed’ I said smiling. There was just something about it that always made me curious. Where they met and how they fell in love.
‘Here we go then… GERONIMO!’ He said and the TARDIS flew. Finally it stopped and we both ran towards the door. I was very excited, not gonna lie. We stepped out ending up in a locker room. How very romantic. I thought it was going to be in a lake back in Scotland with all the green around not in a room that smelled like teenagers and pee. The TARDIS was camouflaged and suddenly the door opened and a man stepped in. He was wearing a grey hoodie and had a whistle hanging from his neck. He saw us and looked very confused.
‘What is going on here? Who are you people?’ He asked in an American accent.
‘Um, excuse us sir’ the Doctor started. ‘We’re Inspectors and we were just checking out the facilities’ He showed him his psychic paper and he suddenly went blank.
‘Oh, I didn’t know we had an inspection today’ he fixed himself up a bit. ‘I’m sorry to disturb you sir’ he said and got out from the same place he came in.
‘He looked worried’ I pointed out. ‘Also, what kind of inspection is this?’ I laughed.
‘I don’t know, whatever he was most scared about apparently’ he laughed like the little kid he is.
‘Also, he sounded American. Aren’t we supposed to be in Scotland?’ I asked him.
‘Maybe he came from the US, we don’t know that Amelia. Now let’s sit and wait, it shouldn’t be long until your parents come in’ he smiled and sat in one of the benches. I chose to stand up. The Doctor was playing with his sonic screwdriver opening lockers finding many red T-Shirts with different numbers but we couldn’t work out which kind of sport they were playing. Suddenly, the door slam open and we were quick enough to hide before they could see us.
‘C’mon, c’mon’ she said while helping him walk and pushing him to one of the lockers. He fell to the floor as he tried to slow down his breath which apparently he couldn’t.
‘What’s going on?’ The Doctor asked. I just shushed him and stared at them.
‘Just try to think of something else’ the girl said. She was wearing a lovely blue dress and a braid. ‘Anything else’ she was obviously trying to help him to get through whatever was going on with him.
‘Like what?’ he managed to say between breaths. They both were talking in an American accent which was confusing me. My parents aren’t American. They are Scottish born and raised! At least so they told me all my life.
‘I think the TARDIS got this one wrong’ I whispered and now it was the Doctor who shushed me.
‘That doesn’t happen. We’ll figure out what happened later. Let me enjoy the moment’ he said smiling. I suddenly felt self-conscious about where we were and how much of an invasion of privacy it was. But I didn’t really want to have to force myself to move the Doctor from there. Besides, they could see us and ruin the moment and then something would happen with Space and Time and all those things the Doctor keeps talking about.
‘Um, happy things’ the girl said. ‘Good things! Friends, family…’ she said and suddenly the boy raised his head looking at her as if she had just said she was in love with Hitler. ‘Um I mean, not family… Oh god’ she was clearly losing her patience not being able to help him and it was making me anxious as well. ‘Okay just… Try to slow your breathing’ she said trying to breath regularly to help him but she didn’t really notice she was heavily breathing as well. He tried to do so but it wasn’t working at all.
‘I… I can’t’ he sighed. She suddenly grabbed his face and started to caress his cheeks as she shushed him but it wasn’t working. His hand was on his chest. Was he having a stroke? Was he going to be alright?
‘Stiles, look at me’ she said looking at the boy. Stiles? What the hell was a Stiles? What an odd name if that’s what it was. I looked at the Doctor who was very much enjoying the scene. ‘Shh… Stiles’ she whispered and then she pressed her lips on his. You could see on his face he wasn’t expecting that AT ALL. After the initial shock, he gave into the kiss and closed his eyes, as if he was touching heaven itself. They kissed for a few seconds and then spent another few just staring at each other. His breathing was okay now but apparently it looked as if it was gone.
‘How’d you do that?’ he said in a whisper.
‘I… I read once that holding your breath could stop a panic attack’ she whispered back. ‘So… When I kissed you… You held your breath’ apparently all the air in her lungs was gone with his.
‘I did?’ he asked with the most innocent voice I had ever heard.
‘Yeah, you did’ the girl whispered again.
‘Thanks’ he said. His eyes had a layer of tears. This was beautiful being honest. Maybe they weren’t her parents but you could see that something was going on there. ‘That was really smart.’ She smiled.
‘ I just, I don’t know I just read it somewhere’ she said sitting next to him instead of being on her knees and gave him a little punch in his knee. ‘And If I was really smart I would tell you to sign up for a few sessions with the guidance councilor’ she said and he laughed. Now I could really see her face. Her eyes were filled with tears as much as his but none of them were letting them go and something told me that their feelings for each other were pretty much the same thing. Suddenly his face changed.
‘Morell’ he said and she looked at him as if he just discovered the key to world peace. They both woke up from the floor with her asking him if he was alright and left the room.
‘That was SO BEAUTIFUL’ said the Doctor screaming.
‘Can you shut up Doctor? We’re not supposed to be here; remember? I said.
‘Oh come on, Pond! Those were your parents right there! That was a lovely moment’ he said smiling.
‘Those weren’t my parents. Can’t you see? They’re American to the bone. My parents are Scottish. Something went wrong with the TARDIS.’ I said. ‘Let’s go back and see what happened.’
‘You know, the TARDIS doesn’t make mistakes.’ He pointed out. ‘But as you wish.’
We left the showers we were hiding in to not be seen and went back to the TARDIS. ‘Alright, let’s check.’ He said looking at the screen he had. ‘Parents of Amelia Pond’ the Doctor said. We’re in the right place Amy –he looked at me. –Maybe it was another kiss?’
‘Let me see that’ I said looking at the screen. Then I felt the weight of the world on my shoulders.
‘What’s wrong Amy?’ the Doctor said as I fell to the floor. ‘Are we in the right place?’ he said looking at it again trying to work out what I had seen.
‘We are’ I answered. ‘Those were my parents. I just had never met them before’ I said staring blank into the distance. The Doctor’s face went blank as well. What a strange way to find out something like this. I was adopted. And those two teenagers kissing in the locker room’s floor were going to be my parents. But what happened that made them give me away? ‘I wanna meet them’ I suddenly said. ‘I wanna meet them right now, in the present. I want to know why.’
‘Amy I don’t know if that’s such a good idea…’ he started saying but I was already on my feet.
‘You wanted to have an adventure with me didn’t you? Let’s do this’ I said and he sighed. I knew she was going to do as I said and he did. He touched his buttons and his things and we were off, back to the present. The Doctor looked at me one last time.
‘Are you sure about this?’ he said holding my hand.
‘I am. Let’s go’ I said and we both got out of the TARDIS. We were in a lovely house in the middle of a town. There was a dusty Jeep parked in the driveway and also a police car. I took a deep breath and started walking towards the door. ‘You can say here if you want’ I told him. There was no need for him to come in with me.
‘I’m not letting you go through this alone Pond.’ He smiled to me. ‘How do I look?’ he said fixing his bow tie. ‘I’m about to meet the original Ponds, I’m excited’ he said being a child.
‘They’re not going to be named ‘Pond’ you know that right?’ I said laughing.
‘I do, but to me you will always be, no matter what’ he said and I found my strength to knock on the door. I heard voices in the other side and suddenly the door opened and a little girl was there. She must have been 5 years-old.
‘Hi, who are you?’ she said in a very cute voice.
‘Hello little Pond’ the Doctor said. Truth be told she did look like me when I was younger; When I first met him. I could see it in his eyes that he was thinking about that as well.
‘Hey sweetie, are your parents home? I said.
‘Yes but we don’t want any magazines or anything like that’ she said.
‘We’re not here for that’ I said. ‘I just wanted to say hello.’
‘Claudia?’ a voice called from behind. ‘Who is it honey?’
‘I don’t know mum but they want to talk to you. I told them we don’t want magazines’ she said running to her mum who was now standing in the door looking at her little girl.
‘It’s okay sweetie I’m sure they just…’ she started saying and then she looked at me. Her face went blank and her eyes filled with tears. She was really young to be my mother. ‘Oh my god’ she said. ‘It can’t be’ she covered his mouth with her hands and started crying.
‘What happened mummy?’ the little girl said ‘Is everything alright?’
‘Yes baby everything is great’ she said. ‘Could you go upstairs and tell daddy to come down for a moment, please?’ She asked the little red haired kid and she nodded running up the stairs calling ‘daddy!’
‘Hello’ said the Doctor. ‘I’m the Doctor and she is Amelia Pond.’ He smiled.
‘Amelia’ she said. ‘Oh my god, can I hug you?’ she asked me. I didn’t even know her but I knew she needed it so I couldn’t decline her. I nodded and she came to me, crying on my shoulder. ‘Oh my little girl’ she said.
‘Lyds what’s going on you know I have work to do’ the voice of a man sounded in the background.
‘Stiles, come here’ she said still sobbing. ‘This is Amelia Pond’ she said and his mouth dropped. He looked older but she could still see the face of the boy having a panic attack in the locker room’s floor. He started to tear up as well.
‘Well it’s really nice to meet you Amelia’ he said.
‘Please just, call me Amy’ I said. I didn’t know what to say or do but they seemed really happy to see me. Happy and sad at the same time.
‘Okay Amy’ she said. ‘I’m Lydia and this is Stiles’ she smiled. ‘Please, come in!’ she moved from the door and let us in. ‘Do you want anything to drink?’ she asked us. I said no before the Doctor could ask for some fish finger with custard and they kicked us out of there.
‘So, how did you find us?’ the man asked. They both couldn’t stop staring at my face.
‘It’s a long story. But I wanted to come and meet you and I wanted you to tell me why.’ I stated. That was why I had gone there after all. Lydia closed her eyes and sighed.
‘We’re really sorry Amy. There hasn’t been a day in my life where I’ve regretted sending you away’ she said with tears in her eyes.
‘Then why did you?’ I said a little bit too loud for my own good.
‘We were too young… We made a mistake and we wouldn’t have been able to protect you Amy…’ Stiles was the one talking now. ‘This town… A lot of crazy things happened here many years ago. Now everything weird happens in London apparently but back in the day Beacon Hills was literally a beacon to the supernatural things.’ He said.
‘Beacon Hills? We are in Beacon Hills?’ the Doctor said jumping off the sofa. ‘Oh my God I’ve heard about this place!’ he said. I shot him a look and he sat down again. I would have to ask him for the stories at another time.
‘We wanted nothing more than to keep you but it would have been selfish of us… We wanted you to have a life and be happy and when we met the Ponds we knew they were going to take care of you and we honestly wanted nothing else…’ she said. ‘But we’re sorry and we’re so happy that you’re here now.’ She smiled. It was a genuine smile. They did it to protect me. They did it to give me my best shot at life and thanks to that I was truly happy. I had Rory, and my (other) Parents. I have the Doctor and now, I also have them.
‘In that case; thank you for giving up such a big part of your life to make sure I got happiness’ I said. ‘It was lovely to meet you and I’m so happy to know that you ended up together’ I said, forgetting all about time-travel code and stuff. Suddenly the Doctor jumped off the sofa again.
‘Well we have to go now, it was lovely to meet you Mr and Mrs…’ he started saying and he was going to say Pond but my stare stopped him.
‘Stilinski’ she said looking at her husband with a smile.
‘What an odd name’ the Doctor said.
‘You’re one to speak, Doctor’ I looked at him smiling. He took my hand and we left the house. ‘I hope I can see you again someday’ I said.
‘So do we Amelia and please’ she started saying ‘be happy’ she smiled and I went to give her a hug. I also hugged him and it was so unexpected that he didn’t know how to react. We started walking waiting for them to go back inside. They were standing at their doorstep waving at us and smiling. I waved back and right before they went inside he gave her a kiss on the lips.
‘Your story keeps getting better and better Pond.’ The Doctor said. ‘I can’t wait to see what’s next’ he said stepping into the TARDIS and running to his controls.
‘Neither can I, Raggedy Man’ I said smiling as the TARDIS took off, back to where this crazy chapter began.

Somewhere between 2 and 3A (A Stydia fanfic)
It was summer. And it felt like hell. Scott was trying not to call Allison (because that’s what they agreed on or something) and he had been studying for SATs and making up for all the studying he missed last year apparently which left me, his best friend, alone.
Don’t get me wrong, we still hang out a bunch of times but I thought it was going to be different. I thought ‘no girls, just us’ was going to be filled with parties and maybe a road trip and who knows, doing crazy things but Scott had to be responsible… Whatever.
It was another night where I had nothing to do, like nothing at all. I had already watched the six Star Wars movies twice that summer and my urge to kill Jar Jar wasn’t getting any smaller. I had already finished all my summer readings as well and there were no supernatural things to obsess over for once, so I was literally bored out of my mind. So I decided to go out, get some air or something, I don’t know.
I left my room and told dad I was going out on my way out, he was working so even if he didn’t hear me, he wouldn’t notice I was gone. I grabbed the Jeep’s keys and left. I got into the car, started it and drove. I had nowhere in mind really, so I just kept driving until somehow I found myself in front of Lydia’s house. Lydia. I hadn’t seen her since the whole Jackson-is-dead-maybe-not thing and honestly I was better off because you know, being in love with someone who is in love with someone else sucks, if you don’t know. Apparently Allison was in France so maybe she was as lonely as I was. Who was I kidding? She’s Lydia Martin, of course she was not lonely. Still I thought it would be nice to say hi or something. Maybe it was better to call first but it was too late, I was already out of the car. Although once I reached the door I started to think about how on earth was I stupid enough to do that, but I kept on doing crazy things and rang the doorbell. I low key hoped she wasn’t home so I would save myself the humiliation. But of course the universe wouldn’t miss an opportunity to ruin Stiles’ life would it. The door opened and Natalie was there.
“Oh hello Stiles!” she said happily.
“Hello Mrs. Martin” I replied. I felt stupid to be honest, what on earth was I doing? Also, was she Mrs. Martin? She was divorced after all.
“Oh, call me Natalie please” she smiled. “Are you looking for Lydia?” she asked me. I mean, it was quite an obvious question but I tried not to be too sarcastic about it.
“Yeah, is she home?” a tiny part of me was hoping she wasn’t, again. Also, why on Earth did I choose not to even look in the mirror before I left? Oh piss off.
“Yeah, come on in!” she said stepping in and opening the door for me. I had been there before for Lydia’s party and that day she almost kissed me thinking I was Jackson because she was so high on meds. Those were the days. Still, I knew my way up to her room but I just didn’t want to seem as if I was rude or a stalker and I waited by the door. “She’s in her room. Would you like me to go and call her?” again with the obvious questions. I mean, I would go upstairs but what if she was half naked or something? She was in her room at night after all, who knows?
“Uhm, yes please?” I said trying not to sound confused which apparently I failed but oh well. She told me that she ‘would be right back’ and to wait in the living room so I made my way over there and sat on one of the sofas and was attacked by a dog.
“Ouch, get out doggy, shu” I said trying to stop it from biting my face off. I looked bad enough already I didn’t need a tiny dog to ruin my look even more.
“Prada!” I heard the voice of an angel say. Okay. That was a bit much, but she was an angel to me after all. Lydia was there, looking like a miracle even in her PJs. “Come here baby” she said, talking to the dog of course. The dog did as she told and went with her and she locked it out in her garden. “Hey Stiles” she said smiling. And I just couldn’t react for a second. “What are you doing here?” she asked confused. As confused as someone could be if a classmate who is the best friend of your best friend’s ex-boyfriend shows up in your house in the middle of the night in summer for no reason what so ever.
“Well, I was bored at home so I took the good old Roscoe for a drive and thought maybe you’d like to come with me to the movies or something” stupid. That’s how it sounded. We weren’t really that close. And for all I knew she was still with Jackson. I shouldn’t have come. What the hell is wrong with you Stiles. Your 15-year-old plan is 15-year-old for a fucking reason. “If you want and if Jackson is okay with it. I wouldn’t like my face to be beat up again. That was a horrid week for me” I said trying to lighten the mood. Apparently it worked because she laughed although she seemed a bit sad at the same time.
“I’m not sure Jackson would do much to you anyway, don’t worry about him” she said. What? Did they break up? Did my plan advance 5 years?
“What do you mean? Is everything okay?” I asked. Not that I cared that much. I never liked Jackson and I always knew she deserved so much better than him. I did care about her though and she didn’t seem alright at all.
“Yeah, his dad just transferred him to London and he moved away. For good apparently.” She smiled half-way. “And Allison is in France for the summer as well” she sighed. “So I think I’m just as bored as you so why not? Let’s go out” she said smiling and I almost fell to the floor. I say almost because I was already sitting down. “Where do you want to go?” she asked. “I need to know so I can get dressed properly” she smiled at me. I suddenly had the urge to sing Queen as my head said ‘Is this the real life? Is it just fantasy?’
“I don’t mind really. Wherever you want” I smiled back. Or at least I thought I did. My face was responding to itself.
“Okay, wait here then! I’ll be as quick as I can” she said and rushed upstairs to get ready. She rushed. She rushed to get ready to go out with me. WHAT. I jumped out the sofa, moving my arms thanking god her mum wasn’t there to see me or she would’ve thought I was out of my mind which was true. I calmed down and sat down again as I waited.
The minutes were eternal I swear to god time was joking me. When I finally heard some heels come down the stairs I got up and turned to see her again. She was wearing a lovely purple dress with pink flowers and her hair had like a crown with a braid. It was weird but beautiful. I also thanked God my hair had grown as well a little bit and I didn’t look like a bald lacrosse ball. “Ready?” she said. And I was going to die right there.
“Sure” I’ve been ready for years. You have just been ignoring me for a while. But that’s alright. I started walking until I was next to her and she looked at me. I could see she was thankful that I was taking her out of her pool of self-pettiness but at the same time she felt weird. I thought about giving her a hug or something but I didn’t think she’d be comfortable with it so I didn’t. I started walking to the door following her steps.
“Mum I’m going out with Stiles, I’ll be back by midnight tops” she screamed and we heard her mum telling us to have fun and be careful. Trust me Natalie, I was going to have fun.
She closed the door behind me and we headed to my Jeep. I opened the door for her and she jumped in. I closed and rushed to the driver’s side. I put the key on the ignition and looked at her.
“Where to, miss?” I said, regretting it as I did. Oh god Stiles, step up your game man. But still, she laughed which was okay.
“The school” she said, smiling.
“Really?” I replied. That was weird. Who on earth wants to go to high school in summer vacations. Lydia Martin, of course.
“Yeah, I wanna sneak in again.” She smiled. And I knew what she meant. She came the day Peter was trying to get Scott to kill us all… Fun days those were… But well, after all I let her chose wherever she wanted to go so all I had to do was drive. So that I did. She turned on the radio and one of my Taylor Swift albums started playing. Shit.
“Uhm, I can explain” I said as ‘Sparks Fly’ was playing. “Scott was heartbroken from Allison and I thought this would cheer him up and…” I was trying to make something up but she laughed.
“I love this song so much” she said. “I’m glad Scott was heartbroken because this is the best remedy and honestly I thought you were going to have the Star Wars soundtrack even in your car” she said. Hold up. She knew. She knew about my Star Wars obsession. How did she knew? Was I freaking out? Was I? I was. Okay great.
“Don’t test me, I have it right here if you want” I said trying to calm myself down.
“I’d love to. I’m a big fan of the movies! Although I don’t get why people don’t tend to like the prequels. My favorite of them all is ‘The Revenge of the Sith” she answered. I WAS OFFICIALLY FREAKING OUT NOW. Lydia Martin was a Star Wars fan. My dreams had been updated. Now I was even more into her than I was if that was even possible.
“I can’t believe you just said that” I said. I was so confused.
“What? You’re one of those ‘The original movies are better’ kind of guy?” she said turning to look at me.
“I like them all but I didn’t take you as a fan at all” I admitted laughing a bit.
“You better than anyone should know that I’m not all that I seem, am I?” she said winking. This was the best night of my life. We got to the school parking lot and I parked. I didn’t even think about it. There were no cars there obviously so I probably stepped over a line or something. We got out of the car and made our way to the fence. “Okay, push me up” she said standing in front of me. I was confused. I wasn’t sure how exactly was I meant to push her up a 6ft tall fence. I was no Scott with super strength or not even Greenberg with super arms. I was just me and I could barely lift my school bag.
“I don’t wanna offend you Lydia but I’m not sure I can do that” I said ashamed of myself and my skinny arms.
“Oh come on! You can do it” she said taking my hands and holding them together. “I’m gonna put my foot here and you lift me up, okay?” she asked looking into my eyes. How was I ever going to be able to refuse to do something for her? She put her foot in my hands and I lifted her up gently trying not to drop her because that would’ve been terrible for both of us. She managed to get to the other side without breaking her dress which was impressive and now it was my turn to jump over the fence. I prayed all the things above not to fall and thankfully I didn’t. We were both inside. “I don’t think we can get inside the building so what do you say we go to the seats back in the lacrosse field?” she asked. I nodded my head in agreement and we went over there.
We got there while we talked about what we wanted to do in the future. Lydia obviously wanted to do some science stuff. I didn’t get much of what she said but I knew it was science because she talked about taking Advanced Biology in Senior Year. I wasn’t really sure yet. I always liked the idea of protecting people so maybe working for the sheriff wouldn’t be that bad. Besides, having your dad as the sheriff was a great way to get a job. We got to the bleachers and sat down. A lot of memories came to my head but I tried to push them back since none of them were “date” material.
“I wanted to tell you something Stiles” she started saying. My heart sank. What was that about? “Now don’t worry, no one died or anything” she laughed to lighten the mood. It didn’t work. I tried to speak but I couldn’t so I just let her keep talking. “Remember prom?”She asked looking at me. All I could do was nod. Of course I remembered prom, the night where she finally noticed my existence. “Well, I didn’t remember it very clearly you know. More like I was trying to forget it but something felt wrong” she kept going and I was more lost than Jesus on father’s day.
“Peter?” I managed to say. “Is that what you were trying to forget?” She nodded in response.
“I just, whenever I think about it I feel dizzy. But I don’t remember much more. I was in the hospital when I woke up and I don’t know what happened. So I asked Jackson” she said. Jackson? He wasn’t even there. “Because, you see, when I was standing right there” she pointed to the middle of the field. “I heard someone calling my name and telling me to run and I thought it was Jackson, turns out it wasn’t” She smiled looking at her bare hands. “I wanted to thank you for that. I’m pretty sure you saved my life. Jackson told me you told him where I was so he could take me to the hospital and all I knew was that, that he had taken me to the hospital so that’s why I thought he was the one running to get me but he wasn’t.” she looked at me. “So yeah, thank you for that” She grabbed my hand and squeezed it.
“Um, no problem.” I thought I was going to choke on my own breathing. “I couldn’t let you die, I would never” I tried smiling back. I remembered what I told her the last day I saw her before summer, when I told her that ‘if she died I would literally go out of my freaking mind’ and I wasn’t lying. She knew that. Because back at prom, I told her that I had had a crush on her since the 3rd grade. I hoped she didn’t remember that though, that was embarrassing, I would rather her not know that.
“So, what happened?” she said and took me by surprised and my face turned into confusion. “That night I mean”
“Well, Peter was looking for Derek and he needed me to tell him where he was and to get me to help him he…” I took a deep breath. Just remembering her lying on the floor, filled with blood made my heart hurt. “He hurt you.” I sighed. “After that I begged him not to kill you and he told me to tell him where Derek was and then I had to hack Scott’s laptop and more things you don’t care about and once I was done I went to the hospital to make sure you were okay. My dad almost killed me because you were my responsibility because you were my promdate and I couldn’t protect you but you were unconscious so you don’t remember any of that.”
“I do remember you sleeping in the hospital outside my room” she laughed. Oh great. She did remember my stalker side. “Thank you for that as well, but you shouldn’t have done that” she said. “I did nothing but ignore you for years. I treated you like crap but you still were there to care about me and help me I…” she started saying. “I’m sorry for all that Stiles, I really am.” She sighed. “I know you knew I wasn’t like that but being the lacrosse captain’s girlfriend and all the popularity climbed up into my head and I lost myself” she said. Of course I knew that. I knew she was the cleverest girl in the whole school but everyone seemed to think she was dumb just because she acted like it.
“Of course I knew. And I want you to stop being like that Lydia, people should know how clever you are and they should add that up to the list of things why they would love to be like you. Promise me you will?” I said.
“Well, I don’t have a reputation to maintain anymore. After all I’m not the captain of, oh well, co-captain of the team’s girlfriend anymore” She laughed, I did as well. “I promise” she looked at me and smiled. It was a genuine smile. She actually meant it.
“Also, I take it that Allison did fill you up with the craziness that happened in town right?” I asked laughing because after all she didn’t know much about it before.
“Yeah, quite a crazy world we live in huh” she laughed, still holding my hand as we sat in the bleachers of our lacrosse field in the middle of a summer night.
“The craziest” I replied, smiling.

Another somewhere in 5B...
He was losing his mind. He was sitting in one of those uncomfortable hospital chairs as he waited for news about his dad’s condition. When he found him almost dead in the floor of that abandoned house he thought he finally had lost everything. Nothing in the world mattered to him anymore, not even his fight with Scott, not even his break up with Malia. All that mattered was his dad, he called 911 as fast as he could and tried to push back a panic attack because he knew if he gave into panic and fear, his dad would be lost and he couldn’t let that happen. After they got to the hospital some doctors took him and left Stiles there waiting. Melissa wasn’t there, he noticed. Where could she be? She was always there. Did something happen to Scott? Probably not, and even if it did he made pretty clear that he didn’t want Stiles to be around him even though he didn’t know the real story about what happened with Donovan. He was losing it. He felt himself drowning in a void hole. He couldn’t lose his dad, not him. He remembered how much it hurt him when his mum died and he didn’t think he could bare all the grief of losing his dad by himself because right now he had no one.
Suddenly the door in front of him opened and the doctor who was actually Liam’s step dad stepped out and looked at Stiles and he didn’t have to say anything for Stiles to know there weren’t good news.
“No. Don’t tell me he’s gone, please” he said with tears already falling down his cheeks.
“He’s not but we can’t really know how much he’s gonna stay like that…” the Doctor said. “He’s not waking up but he’s still breathing so we have to hold on to that, Stiles.”
“But is he gonna be alright?” he said with a broken voice.
“We can’t assure you, I’m really sorry kid.” He did look sorry but that didn’t mean anything to Stiles. He wanted his dad back, he needed his dad back. “You can come in now” Liam’s dad said while he put the folder with all of the Sheriff’s information in the compartment next to his dad’s door. Stiles got up from the chair and opened the door. There was his dad, filled with cables and tubes. His heart totally broke into a million pieces. He had his eyes closed and the only thing that was assuring Stiles he was alright was the constant beeping of the machine monitoring his heartbeat. He stepped closer and took his hand, ice-cold. A tear fell down his face.
“Hey dad” he said. Not sure why, he just needed to. “Please don’t leave me. You can’t leave me as well.” He fell into the chair next to the bed while he didn’t let go of his hand. “I just, I have nothing left. Scott and I… well, we had a fight and then I broke the Jeep and then I broke up with Malia and Lydia is…” he stopped. He didn’t know what had happened to Lydia. Was she alright? Did something happen to her? He got a sudden sinking feeling and all the machines in the room started beeping, making Stiles jump. He turned to the door as Melissa came in. Then he looked at his dad again with panic and didn’t want to let go of his hand.
“Stiles, let go” Melissa said. “I have to take him to surgery. Something isn’t right with him” she said coming closer to him, trying to make him let go of his dad’s hand.
“NO. YOU CAN’T TAKE HIM AWAY!” He said as if he was a 10-year-old kid watching her mum die all over again.
“I’m sorry honey, for everything. I really am, but I have to take him because I have to save him, okay? I promise you I will save his life.” Melissa said looking deep into his eyes. “Everything will be fine.” He gave him a hug and he lost himself in it, crying but she suddenly let go, taking his dad away with the help of other nurses. And there he was, alone in that room, crying.
“Stiles” he heard and turned around. Scott was there. “My mum told me and I… I had to come, I’m really sorry.” He said looking at his best friend, at his brother. But something took over Stiles and he jumped towards Scott, grabbing his shirt and throwing him against the wall.
“Where were you Scott?” he screamed. “Huh? Where were you while all of this happened?” he threw him to the ground and started to beat him up. Letting all of his rage go as he did. The weird thing was that Scott didn’t hit him back, he didn’t even try to protect himself from the punches. “Where were you?” he said in a whisper while he stopped and fell to the ground in tears.
“I know saying sorry isn’t enough because I wasn’t there to save him. I should’ve been. Now everything is destroyed. Liam, Malia, Kira, Lydia and… -suddenly Stiles raised his head.
“Lydia? What’s wrong with Lydia?” Scott looked at him as if he didn’t want to tell him what happened. “Scott, what is wrong with Lydia? Tell me or I swear to God…” Stiles said, his rage growing once again.
“Stiles you have enough on your plate already I don’t…” Scott started saying but he got interrupted.
“TELL ME!” Stiles screamed raising Scott from the ground and throwing him against the wall again and Scott looked at him with his eyes wide open. Something about the way he was acting reminded him to how he was when the Nogitsune was inside of him. “NOW, SCOTT”
“Theo took her. We don’t know where none of them are. I went to the library to look for her but she wasn’t there but her phone was and then…” suddenly Stiles was off. He took his jacket and started running. He knew his dad was in good hands with Melissa but Lydia was most definitely not in good hands if Theo had taken her. He didn’t have his jeep so he just ran. He ran through the woods. He had to find her; he knew he would find her. He just hoped it wouldn’t be too late. Something kept pulling him in one direction, so he followed his instinct trying his best not to fall. And then he saw her, lying on the ground. She wasn’t moving, she had his eyes wide open and also her mouth, but she wasn’t moving.
“LYDIA?” He screamed, running towards her. She kept still. He didn’t even know if she was breathing. “Lydia please, don’t” he fell to his knees right beside her and looked for pulse. She had it. He sighed in relief. “You’re okay. You’re gonna be okay” he whispered as he removed some hairs from her face. “I’m gonna get you out of here okay? I’m gonna help you. You’re not leaving me.” He told her but she still wasn’t moving. Did another kanima show up in town? Why couldn’t she move? Suddenly, he heard sirens. He thought it was help so he started screaming their position but he then realized her face, she was trying to make him stop, because he then found out it wasn’t help. Not at all.
“Step away from the victim young man” one of the doctors said. “We’re gonna take her away now”.
“Hey, BACK OFF” he said screaming while he pulled Lydia closer to his chest, not wanting to let her go either. He had to let his dad go but he wasn’t gonna do the same with Lydia. Because they weren’t going to help Lydia after all.
“We’re asking nicely, don’t make us do something none of us want to do” he pulled out a gun.
“I said BACK THE HELL OFF, DON’T TOUCH HER.” He could feel the rage build up again and he also felt her arms hold him tight, not wanting to let him go either, but also it felt like she was saying goodbye to him. “No Lydia, I’m going to get you out of here.” He whispered to her but he felt her try to nod. “Yes I am” but somehow she moved and got up. Then he realized she had claw marks in her neck. That was why she couldn’t entirely move. He got up before she could fall and caught her. “NO” he said as the doctors grabbed her and also him so he wouldn’t follow them. “YOU CAN’T TAKE HER AWAY. LYDIA PLEASE” He cried. “YOU’RE THE ONLY PERSON I HAVE LEFT” He screamed and saw her face turn around in tears. She mouthed “I’m sorry” and the doctor put her inside the van that had “EICHEN HOUSE” printed all over its side. “I WILL GET YOU OUT OF THERE I PROMISE, AND I WILL ALSO MAKE THEO PAY FOR WHAT HE DID TO YOU, TO ALL OF US” He screamed and he fought the guard who was holding him. He punched him and left him unconscious. “He will pay” he said out loud and his voice sounded dark, void. “I swear he will die.”

Somewhere in 5B... [A Stydia fanfic]
“I can’t do this right now” Lydia said trying to calm down. She had been rescued from being locked up in Eichen House. Stiles had saved her and she was still affected by it all to be thinking clearly.
“No Lydia, we need to talk about it” Stiles said running his fingers through his hair messing it up. “I almost lost you, AGAIN.” he screamed. “And I wouldn’t ever forgive myself if something happened to you and I never told you this.”
“Stiles, don’t” Lydia said knowing what was coming and not being sure if she wanted to hear it.
“NO LYDIA, YOU KISSED ME” he dropped. “YOU KISSED ME ALRIGHT? And even though you said it was to stop my stupid panic attack I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it ever since.” he said looking deep into her eyes, losing himself in those green eyes he knew so well. “And what hurts me the most is that we never got to talk about it and it’s like it never happened! I don’t think I even told Scott and I’m losing my mind because it’s not like we did anything wrong but I don’t know how to feel!” he said again covering his face trying to hold back the tears.
“When exactly do you wanted to talk about it Stiles?” She said getting up from his bed, rising her voice. “While your dad’s life was on the line? Or later when you were possessed by an ancient Japanese demon? Or later when you stared dating Malia? Or when random people were trying to kill me to get some money? Or when Theo came around putting me in a catatonic state in Eichen? Tell me when exactly you think it was a great timing because I’d love to know!” She said screaming, not being able to hold her tears back as well as he did. “Why are we talking about it now anyway? With a beast running around trying to kill us all again?” she asked frustrated.
“Because right now is better than never Lydia, that’s why! Precisely because a beast is trying to kill us all, it’s time to talk about it before it’s too late.” he stepped forward, getting closer to her ending up sitting on his bed.
“But what about Malia?” Lydia asked sitting right beside him. She had been in Eichen for a while so she didn’t know a thing about what happened outside those white walls.
“We kind of broke up, I guess” he sighed. “After what happened with Donovan and Scott and Theo it was too much and… I don’t know. She was looking for her mum behind my back and I was looking for you.” he said looking her way, noticing a slight blush in her cheeks.
“I’m sorry Stiles, I really am” she said reaching out for his hand and squeezing it.
“Don’t be. I think it was meant to happen anyway.” he said trying to smile. “Besides, she knew”
“About Donovan?” she asked. Lydia knew because she got the feeling when she went to the library before Theo took her but she knew as well he didn’t even tell Scott that’s why they fought.
“That too. But she knew about you.” he turned his face to look at her from up close.
“What do you mean? Of course she knew about me! It’s not like she didn’t know me” she said very confused.
“Jez, are you honestly gonna make me say it?” he asked giving her a sad smile which made her feel even more confused about it.
“I honestly don’t know what you’re talking about Stiles” she said a bit worried.
“Lydia” he sighed. “I’m in love with you. I always have been and Malia knew. Everyone knew really. I told you at prom, remember?” he smiled remembering that night when he finally earned her trust. Remembering the moment when he thought he’d lost her because of Peter.
“I do remember but I thought you were over that already. It’s been, how long? 2 years? A lot has happened since that day” she said feeling overwhelmed.
“How could I ever? I’ve been in love with you since freaking 3rd grade and seeing you every day didn’t really help me. I thought with Malia I could finally move on and I almost did but when I saw you bleeding out on the precinct’s floor, the idea of losing you was too much for me and I panicked. You told me you were fine but you weren’t Lyds and I…” he started tearing up. “I was losing my mind not being able to help you.” he looked at her through a curtain of tears. He took a breath and carried on. “I think that’s when she noticed, even though she wasn’t there but after that nothing was the same and when you were locked in Eichen I swore I was going to get you out of there. I was going to save you from that hell because I know how it is and nobody deserves that, you the least of them all.”
“Thank you” she whispered. She was totally speechless. What was she supposed to answer to that?
“Thank you? That’s it?” he stood up, rising his voice with him.
“What am I supposed to say?” she screamed getting up as well. “That I’m in love with you too? That I wasn’t expecting to fall for you when I kissed you but I did? That every minute after that kiss all I wanted to do was be with you but Malia showed up? That I was dying every time I saw you together? That I wished things were easier and we didn’t have to be worried about dying all the time and we could be together? Because I do, all of it, I do Stiles!” she screamed at him not realizing she was hyperventilating, red with a mix of rage and embarrassment but her breathing wasn’t slowing down after all. “Well, what are you…” she started saying but suddenly he grabbed her face and pressed his lips against hers closing his eyes. At first Lydia was surprised but she closed her eyes and started to put her arms around his neck, pulling him closer not wanting the moment to end, but it did. He broke their touch and smiled at her.
“Who held their breath now?” he said, making her laugh and she kissed him again. She kissed him for all those days she had been dying to and he kissed her for all the years he thought it would never happen. And even though a beast was running lose around Beacon Hills the only ones running around in that room were their hearts.
