I fixed my tablet monitor 😭 The speed paint for this will be on the YT channel tomorrow, for the curious. This also means I am available for commission for digital work, which saves you shipping and tends to be somewhat faster, depending on your specs. I'm interested in quite a lot, as long as you dig my style, but have a preference for comfy-creepy "halloween is a lifestyle" subjects, as well as how I may assist other witches and pagans with imagery in their paths and practices.

I had a lot here, but my app is not cooperating w/ me lately.

The whole point of this shop starting up was to make spiritual, occult, and other art and products more accessible, having some actual integrity in providing them, as opposed to shops I've found upcharging just because witchcraft is becoming more mainstream and, dare I say it, ✨ trendy ✨.

I pay myself a living wage, but all pricing is calculated based on cost to make, plus my time, and that's it. So, because I've noted a lot of interest in my crochet altar flags over time, but they aren't as accessible as I would like them to be for a lot of people, I will also soon be offering fabric flags. You can hang however you'd like.

This makes them a lower price, but also respects my time and work in design. Sold at $15 for the large ones, and $8 for the small ones, with a narrow channel at the top, to string something through, put in a stick, or you can do other alterations. For a small fee, I can do that for you, or put in buttonholes, or you can propose something else and we can agree on the fee.

Once I have energy and time to list these on the website, pre-orders will be open. I scraped together enough resources to create these examples, but paying my bills is still exceptionally difficult right now. All profit from pre-orders will go toward bills, but everything after that will also go toward working out how to return patches to the shop, through printed canvas (thereby making those more accessible, too).

In discussion w/someone else this weekend, they had an observation I wholeheartedly agree with -

Sometimes I have particularly bad markets, because quite a lot of people are viewing my shop as just selling a product. It's definitely offbeat, and not everyone's cup of tea, but that's because I am presenting my energy, a huge part of myself, and not just trying to appeal to as many people as possible.

What is this about the tumblr staff wanting to sell art data to midjourney?

An ex-colleague of mine mentioned yesterday that there may be contacts between Automattic and midjourney in that direction, but nothing is public yet and I don't have any more info. They probably won't have anything specific to share either, since they left the company weeks ago too. That being said:

I have no reason to doubt my ex-coworker word, they are a trustworthy person.

Tumblr's CEO has been absurdly enthusiastic (comically, even) about AI, and is a big fan of LLMs and 'AI' companies.

A deal with midjourney could solve tumblr financial issues (not the same company, but openAi is paying up to 5 million/year to news companies to use their content as training data... tumblr generates several orders of magnitude more content than any newspaper or any media company and it only would need a 20 to 30 million per year deal to be profitable)

So I don't have any extra info yet, but I'm keeping my ears open.
