A character washed up ashore after a storm; tangled in seaweed with the rest of the flotsam and debris tossed above the tideline, crusted with sand, clothing torn and limbs abraded by rocks and barnacles, eyes and nose stinging with salt, beginning to burn in the unforgiving sun yet still nearly hypothermic with the bone-deep chill of the water and their sodden, waterlogged clothing; every breath damp and crackling through the congestion of inhaled water and saltspume; utterly spent with the exhaustion of trying to stay afloat for so long, not roused by seabirds pecking at their raw hands, nor by the lap of the encroaching tide at their feet…

Then someone searching the strand for salvageable wreckage finds them.

A fun whump aesthetic: a character being helped out of heavy plate armor

Is it done fast, blood-slick fingers pulling at straps and hastily undoing buckles, the pieces thrown carelessly aside to be picked up later, time is running out and they need to get all that metal out of the way to treat the wound underneath?

Or slowly, gently, telling the character that shh, they can rest now, they've done their part and done it well, others will take it from here?

Harshly, on a captured enemy knight, forcibly stripping them of first their weapons and then their armor as they're fighting back tooth and nail, to put them in chains afterwards, vulnerable without their armor in the light, sweat-drenched shirt and arming jacket and breeches they wear underneath?

Disclaimer: I put a handful of prompts on my list with specific OCs/scenarios in mind already so as a disclaimer if you request an OC that I don't think fits these I may not fill it out exactly as requested. I don't want that to deter any suggestions, I'm just letting u know!!! this is mostly just relevant for a few like:

compelling voices (a vampire trait in our AU)

killing in self-defense (specific character in mind)

don't let them see you cry (specific character in mind)

the rest are pretty fair game! for the super generic prompts (stitches, bruises, etc) don't be afraid to request any OC that interests you!

A flash of unbearable agony as the excruciating pain starts, as they stumble and fall to one knee, as fingers hover over razor-sharp edges and breathing grows shallow.

Maybe they’re running from something, from whatever the trap was meant for.

Maybe they’re running from someone, a glinting smirk as footsteps slow to a casual saunter.

Fingers yanking fruitlessly at spring-coiled metal, low sobs, frequent glances over their shoulder to track their enemy getting closer and closer and closer.

Trapped like prey.

Vampy Lore under the cut!

When Drew gets turned into a vampire he has his throat cut and slowly bleeds out. He thought he'd die there, and at the time, was probably okay with that. "But eternal life or whatevr is pretty cool too I guess.." 🙄 Drew's a messy loner for decades, but accidentally stumbles into a caretaker role when he meets Brent.

Andre was forced into an abusive coven when he was first bitten and turned. They kept him weak and stake near his heart just deep enough to leave a scar, branding him essentially. He spends too many years there with them. He eventually escapes the coven but has a few constant reminders of them.

Brent is a more modern vampire, he was turned by mistake. Brent has a fear of blood and couldn't properly feed early on. It left him weak and vulnerable when his abusive human boyfriend tried to kill the monster he'd become. BF didn't know what it would take to kill a vampire though, so Brent survived, but barely. He was left face down in freezing water when Drew finds him...
