TAT: Fever + ice. Give me carer trying not to panic as they tell a bystander to bring bags of ice, which they then place at the neck, underarms, groin, ignoring the the whumpee's look of discomfort because /this is for your own good dammit/. Give me a whumpee whose fever is so dangerously high that they're unconscious, their brain could fry at any moment, and the carer's only option is ice bath. (Bonus if whumpee can't have fever reducers due to risk of bleeding.) (I may or may not have a WIP,)

river overcorrecting 5+1 for the ask game?

this stems from an idea related to s3 where River, feeling guilty that he ignored Donovan following Catherine ends up overcorrecting when he thinks someone might be following his coworker. Five times it turns out to be nothing. The sixth time it turns out someone really was following Lamb. Lamb, of course, knows someone is following him, but River intervenes before Lamb can do anything and ends up getting beat up. He grins up at Lamb all proud of himself.

Lamb: surely there's a way you could have done this without getting yourself almost killed River: hmmm, I don't think so

I have not written too much at all for it but here is a small bit:

“You want to talk me through your thought process here?” Lamb asked, tilting his head. 

“He was following you,” River said between breaths, hands on his knees. 

“I know that, you twat. And what were you doing?”

“I was following him. I saved you,” River grinned, blood on his teeth, standing up right before wincing and holding his ribs and doubling over again. 

“Jesus fucking Christ,” Lamb pinched the bridge of his nose between his fingers. “I knew he was following me. All you managed to do was get yourself used as a punching bag.”
