Arthur Polonsky in Paris.
Polonsky (1925—2019) was a figurative painter, draughtsman and educator, known for his explorations of light, water, flight and similarly lyrical motifs that, in esoteric and unsettling ways, alluded to myth, fantasy, music, the Bible, or the poetry of Symbolist and Modernist poets like Rimbaud and Rilke. Polonsky was a key participant in Boston Expressionism. (Source: Wikipedia)

You can create a safe space for certain communities and still have boundaries for things that cross the line/are harmful in general or to your personal mental health.
You can be a safe space for people with mental health issues and still have pro ana/thinspo/meanspo blogs in your DNI.
You can be a safe space for people with mental health issues and still have blogs that romanticise/only ever talk about suicide and depression in your DNI.
You can be a safe space for writers and still have people who write fiction about real life people (celebrities, content creators, etc.) in your DNI.
You can be a safe space for artists and still have those who use AI in your DNI.
You can be a safe space for 18+ blogs and still have certain kinks that make you uncomfortable in your DNI.
You can be a safe space and still have boundaries. If you don't stand up against harmful things (that's not saying everything i listed here is harmful) because "you want to be a safe space for everyone" then you are just as bad as the people who openly support/engage with it.
