The darkness in my nostrils
—-
The sandy beach before me
The hot sun on my back
My nostrils flare my heart pounds
All around me beach fun sounds
But not in my nose, only darkness
For there is no way for light to get into my sinuses
No sunscreen can reach
I’m ok with that
I’m ok with that
I’m ok

Cheese grater of awareness
-
Ouch! That kinda hurt!
And then I noticed
a drop of blood
fall on my shirt
Out of my daze
I woke up saying
“Gotta pay attention to
the cheese I’m grating”

Hamper with a smell
—-
It’s laundry day and I’m upset
My thoughts are filled with only regret
Tacos and chili I ate with anger
No prize in box did I appear to get
I made a mess to display my rage
And when I got home I simply changed
But my hamper sat all day in the sun
“This is not going to be fun”

Large possum on the clock
—-
I can’t read the time
It’s gettin so late
I don’t know why
This has become my fate
A fuzzy animal is holding on
With little paws and tail
I try the left and right
To no avail
Stupid possum on the clock
I do not like his kind
For he doesn’t know
We are on daylight saving time

Slowly I hesitate to talk
For the darkness is consuming
The aloneness of my anger
Instills a yearning to purchase a larger less constricting bathing suit.

The darkness
—
The darkness is all around me
I’m alone in my thoughts
My speedo constricting and tight
I yearn for your company
No more shall I see the light
Sadness grasps my confident voice
I’m so constricted by this speedo
Like a rubber band tight, it leaves a mark.

I gaze at the poodle
—
My face is sweaty with a grin
I place my back pack in the bin
A large distraction on my face
But when will we get to fully embrace?
I focus on your eyes and doodle
For all I see is an angry poodle
No more questioning my whiskers
I’m one of those big riskers
Now I shall rest my head
For a poodle on my face is wed
He’s kind of heavy and he’s attached
For it’s me who’s the one that’s catched
Snarling at my face in the tight closed space
It’s not a race it’s a disgrace, my face
Or have I just shaved this animal to its base?
No. I can’t. For I have no treats. I have no tricks. Go away and pet your own face.

All around the mall
Everywhere eye brows
I see them lookin at me with their angry eyebrows
Like a V, Like a V Like a V
All around the mall

Anger squint
—
I squint in disgust at your actions
My friend you are a fool
I try and tell you that your wrong
And that you are a tool
But your gaze is at your calculator
And i really don’t know why
Perhaps you need to learn arithmetic
And stare into the microwave and fry
I think I’ll feel much better
When you learn the ropes
And learn to count your chickens
Before they start to boast

Breakfast
—-
I eat the pancakes
I eat the bacon
I eat the sunny side eggs
I drink my coffee
But what of the French toast?
It’s not for you. It’s not for me.
It’s for the host, the toast
I coast the most, dont mean to boast.

A pick me up not much to spend
Scrape the Teflon on my plate
You are the best- you are my fate

Raccoon face
—
They call me raccoon face
I’m angry at your gaze
My whiskers are real my eyes glare
By perhaps a kind word you might want to spare?
I’m not a raccoon, I’m not an animal
But my face betrays my humble gaze.
Alone I sit here and claw at my environment
For my tail is wildly uncontrollable- bent
Tomorrow I enter my childhood den
I want to be ready for the chase

Alone
——
Alone I sit here
A vast expanse of pain before me
Behold a small angry Yellowjacket friend
He comes to keep me company
Alas I wipe the sweat from my brow
I flex my muscular chest and wrap it up with my Gucci towel
Tomorrow I await the nest…

“I love donuts.” I said to myself as I washed down a jelly donut with some coffee. I then grabbed a chocolate sprinkled donut and placed it in my mouth. Before I was able to chew it started to dissolve in its own with just saliva and the power of gravity.
“I love donuts.” I said again to myself. Only 99 more to go..

The toaster buzzed with smoke. Tiny flashes of light came out behind the smoke screen. “Ding!” .
“Oh! My bagels are done!” I exclaimed with a please giddy look on my face. I opened the door and looked inside. A thick haze rolled out over the counter as the toaster door opened. That’s when the bagel became visible: it was toasted just as I like it. “Let me put some cream cheese in that”.. Mmm

The large rabid raccoon pounced on his face with a snarling toothy greeting. From the back he looked normal but from the front he had an animal on his face. It was a reminder never to climb into an animals lair and “shake it up”..
I’d only he listened. If only he had not had the stench of barbecue sauce still all over his shirt from the contest. The spicy friendship has turned into a painful attack vector for the rabid animal. But Bruce knew what to do. He grabbed his face and ran to the barrel and dunked his whole head underwater. He was free, for now.
