I think this makes a lot of sense especially considering that-to my knowledge-Lucas doesn't have the Dana to his Venkman yet.

i’m sure this has already been said a thousand times because byler fans are actually too smart for this world. i’ve only been obsessed with this side of the fandom for like a month and i already have zero doubt that they’re endgame. they’ll try to confuse us all they want in the upcoming months but we’ve seen it. we know.and okay, i had this thought the other day and i haven’t been able to get it out of my head.mike is the leader of the party, yes, absolutely. but i truly believe he only is when he’s following his heart.and that heart… is will.not just because i ship them, but because the show shows us.in season 1, mike is clear, determined, brave, leading everyone — because he feels. because he’s connected to what matters to him. will is missing and mike moves the world to find him.then in seasons 3 and 4? mike is distant. confused. passive. he’s not leading anymore.and what changed between season 1 and those later seasons?he got emotionally disconnected from will.and here’s where it hit me. maybe this is obvious and someone already said it better, but whatever:“Will” means will in english. like... desire, drive, intention, impulse.what if that’s not a coincidence?what if will is literally mike’s will?because when will’s not close, mike drifts.he forgets what he wants. he stumbles. he tries to hold on to el but he’s clearly uncomfortable and unsure of everything.but then... will talks to him in the van.tells him he’s the heart.and boom. mike comes back to life.he speaks with conviction again. he acts. he feels present.and yes — mike is the heart of the party.but will is the heart of mike.and without him, mike doesn’t lead.he doesn’t move.he just... exists.so yeah, maybe everyone already figured this out but let me be happy lmao.i don’t watch the show the same way anymore.not because i’m looking for clues — but because i feel it.this isn’t just a theory.it’s the emotional core of the entir

"El would accept byler cause she grew up in a lab and doesn't know-" dear lord El would accept will and mike because she is one of the most protective and empathetic characters of the show and besides being a person who loves a lot in general, she knows more than almost anyone else what it feels like to be different, to feel like a mistake for a whole life, like a "monster," and to feel like you don't belong anywhere because of these differences. she, more than almost anyone else, knows how difficult is to discover yourself and the consequences that come from it. she loves her friends and family perhaps more than she ever loved herself and that's why she will be understanding with Mike and will accept her brother without too many frills. because she understands.
