The year was long and my words scattered

This year I hoped and grieved continuously, for a world where peace never seemed to land. ---------- My mind was lulled into a restless sleep that consumed its fading light, Until my heart reclaimed each peace that was left, And not once, did the call to slumber feel right, Though I let the siren continue her theft. ---------- I pray for all the moments of peace I was blessed with to be lived by all, I pray for continuous smiles to paint every child’s face, I pray for the calm of souls and for the warm glow of light to embrace all. I pray for divine love to be the path all flowers guide... Are we bound to fight and not see beyond darkness? I wanna re-watch gilmore girls sooo bad but I keep putting it off or watching one episode and forgetting about it ahhh

I really wish I could go back to when I watched it for the first time 😭

Gilmore Girls had such a cultural impact on me. Like one time in college, I had to walk back to my dorm in the pouring rain. As soon as I enter, my roommate asks "Is it raining?"

And in that moment, I so badly wanted to turn into Paris Geller "No, it's National Baptism Day. Tie your tubes, idiot."

But instead, I just said "Yeah, it is. I'm gonna go change."

As I was waiting for autumn to come, I saw it as a friend waving from afar while I walked towards it with my arms open to take it into my embrace. It is such a beautiful season... the colors, the smell of the earth after it rains, crisp air and misty mornings.

One of my favorite things to do in this season is walk around parks, sit down, watch the world and draw, write a poem or read, and I've lately been listening to You've Got Mail's movie soundtrack :)

I am also looking forward to cold, cloudy afternoons spent studying at my desk with a warm cup of tea!

Before I start anything...

Hello all, I hope you've been doing well! My blog is still small so I can't reach a very wide public, but I just wanted to pass on a quick little message.

While some are safe, others go through hell every single day, and some situations keep getting worse. And I am especially thinking of Palestinians, Congolese, Haitian, Yemeni, Sudani, Ukrainian people and so on...

There are many ways to help and participate in the fights for peace and equality such as staying informed through reliable sources, and donating, even just a dollar or pound or whatever currency your country uses. Since organizations differ from country to another, I don't know which to recommend, —moreover I'm not comfortable enough yet to share where I am from— but please consider looking into charities and humanitarian organizations that can provide help to those in need.
