Twelve Days to Christmas(Day 12):Christmas Day.
Summary:Chip spends Christmas Day with his family before giving his special friend a present.
Chip woke up that morning, jumping out of bed before grabbing his PET.
"Axl! Axl! It's Christmas!"
He jumped up and down as Axl.EXE looked at him, yawning slightly.
"Hehe... Morning, Chip. Merry Christmas."
"Merry Christmas, Axl!"
Axl.EXE let out a soft chuckle. It's been only a few minutes and his operator was full of energy. Chip ran out of his room and to his parents room.
"Mom! Dad! Get up! It's Christmas!"
He ran around the bedroom and waited for his parents to get up.
"*yawning* Good morning, Chip."
"Morning, kiddo."
Patch and Momiji sat up in bed as they rubbed their eyes. Their son looked at them with a beaming smile like the one he gave Quint.
"Merry Christmas!"
He yelled before running down to the living, hearing his grandparents talking downstairs in the living. Momiji watched him run out of the room. She turned to Patch who just smiled at her before getting out of bed. The two of went downstairs to see Chip sitting between Lan and Mayl. Lan was ruffling Chip's hair while Mayl smiled at Patch and Momiji.
"Good morning."
"Merry Christmas, you two."
"Merry Christmas..."
"Is it time to open presents?!"
Chip looked at the tree filled with presents that sat beneath it.
"Sure kiddo."
They spent the morning opening Christmas presents. Chip enjoyed every present he got. Axl was having a fun time too. Spending it with MegaManJr.EXE, aka Remix and Nana.EXE, his parents. He also had fun with MegaMan.EXE and Roll.EXE, aka Hub and Roll, his grandparents. As the morning went on, the family ate breakfast and Lan was finishing up a PET for Mitchell with a NetNavi named Enker.EXE. Soon, Lan was finished with the PET and NetNavi when Chip came into the room and looked over.
"*gasp* Is that Mitchell's PET?!"
"Yep. I just finished it, too."
Lan looked over at the clock and saw that it was almost noon. He then back to Chip.
"Why don't we go deliver it to him?"
"Yes! Let's do it!"
Lan put the PET in a small present as Chup got his coat on. Once he was ready, he waited by the door for Lan. He came over with a large coat and the present in hand.
"We'll be back!"
Lan yelled as they walked out the door. Mitchell's house wasn't far from Chip's home. It was just a few blocks away. Mitchell was in the kitchen getting some lunch. Christmas morning wasn't very exciting for him. At least he got presents from his dad and mom, even if his mother was now gone. It was nice to see that she had gotten him something before she left. His dad had left for work not too long ago. As Mitchell was finishing up making lunch, he heard the doorbell ring.
"Huh? It better not be those annoying neighbors..."
Mitchell grumbled as he set the plate down and walked over to the front door. Ever since they moved here, he's been bothered by a group of kids in the neighborhood every day. They would pick on him, call him names, occasionally throw stuff at him. He would often have the chase them away, usually with the broom. He took a deep breath, prepared to see the group of bullies here to cause trouble... Instead, he saw Chip and his grandfather outside.
"Hi, Mitchell! Merry Christmas!"
Chip had a large smile on his face as always. Mitchell was surprised to see them there. Sure, he's walked home with Chip everyday, but he didn't expect to see him here today. Lan had a warm smile on his face. Mitchell noticed that Chip had something behind his back...
"Hi, Chip... What are you doing here?"
He watched as Chip pulled a present out from behind his back. He was now able to see it clearly. It was wrapped in white wrapping paper with a red ribbon on top.
"We got you something!"
"You did?"
Mitchell looked at the gift box. He clearly wasn't expecting anything at all. He reluctantly grabbed the gift out of Chip's hands before opening it. His eye's widened and he gasped, nearly dropping the box as he laid eyes on a shiny new PET. He examined the PET as it was a mix of gray and yellow. He booted it up and on the main screen was a NetNavi.
He had light skin, green eyes, and blonde hair sticking out of his helmets' front and sides in the form of spikes. His helmet was yellow with orange rings around the edges of where his hair poked out of the helmet. His main bodysuit was gray and blue. He had yellow shoulder pads on his shoulders and yellow wristbands around his wrists. He also had on yellow boots with blue soles. His symbol was an orange E on a red circle surrounded by an orange ring. His name was Enker.EXE.
"Hi, Mitchell. My names Enker.EXE, I'm your new NetNavi."
"Hi, Enker... Wow..."
Mitchell was flabbergasted. He looked over at Chip before running over and giving his friend a hug. Lan received a hug, too.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"
"You're welcome, kiddo."
"You wanna explore the Net?!"
Chip was extremely happy that Mitchell liked the gift.
"Yes."
They decided to go to Chip's place. They spent the whole afternoon there. Chip was helping Mitchell learn how to use the PET. Enker and Axl were already starting to get along well. It seemed like they would be friends for a long time.

Twelve Days to Christmas(Day 11):Christmas Eve.
Summary:Patch Hikari spends Christmas eve with his family. Chip invites his special friend to join them.
When Patch was a child, he loved Christmas eve. His mother would spend the day cooking dinner with his aunts. His father and uncles would take him outside. They would have snowball fights, build a snowman, and even go sledding. It was even more fun when his friends were around. All of them would have a huge snowball fight in the yard before finally coming in hours later in the late afternoon. There would be hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookies waiting for them. They would sit in the living room and watch christmas movies while enjoying their hot chocolate and cookies. Soon, they would have the gift exchange in the evening, just before dinner. Everyone would give someone a present before opening them. It was always exciting seeing his friends or family members reactions whenever he got them something. They would finish off the night by eating dinner and making reindeer food for Santa's reindeer. Sometimes, if his friends were there, they would stay the night at his house. He was ready to spend the day with his son the same way his dad spent it with him.
As Patch was putting on his coat and boots, he heard Chip talking to someone outside.
"Come on, we're almost there!"
"I'm coming, Chip... Do you think they'll be okay with me being here?"
"Of course they'll be okay with it! My dad had his friends over all the time for Christmas! I'm sure they won't mind if you join us... Besides, I've been wanting to introduce you to them for a while now."
"Oh, okay..."
The other kid sounded nervous but also slightly excited. Chip was holding his hand and leading him to the front door. The kid also looked slightly older than Chip by at least a year. Patch could see them outside of the window, same with Momiji, Lan, and Mayl.
"Aww, Chip brought one of his friends over!"
"That's nice. It's just like when you were a kid, Patch."
That would be nice if Patch and Momiji recognized who Chip was with. Truth be told, they had no idea that kid was or how long they knew Chip for. Perhaps they recently became friends at school shortly before winter break? That was the only explanation that Patch could think of. He silently glanced over to Momiji, who looked just as confused as he did. Before they could ponder on it some more, Chip opened the door and lead the other kid inside.
"Hi papa! Hi mama! Hi grandpa! Hi grandma!"
Chip looked at everyone excitedly as the kid next to him pulled down his scarf and looked around the room. He had an awkward expression on his face. The kid had brown hair, tan skin, and dark golden eyes. He wore a blue jacket with a yellow collar, black pants, and blue boots with yellow soles. He stood next to Chip, still looking awkward as he led him into the living room was.
"Hello, Chip. Is this young man a friend of yours?"
Mayl asked Chip while Lan observed the kid next to him. He couldn't help but feel that the kid was familiar somehow...
"Yeah! This is my friend!"
"Hi... My name is Mitchell Kobalt... Nice to meet you."
Mitchell had a nervous tone as he spoke. He could see how Patch and Momiji were staring at him. 'This was a bad idea.' Rango thought to himself as Chip beamed with excitement.
"Chip... How did you and Mitchell meet?"
His mother asked, curious as his father also spoke up.
"Yes, and how long have you known Mitchell for, son?"
"Oh yeah! He was one of the new kids at my school! We've only known each other for a few days, but we have lots of stuff in common!"
Mitchell gave the adults a flustered smile as he heard Chip talking about their friendship.
"My dad and I moved here a few days ago... We met during lunchtime and started talking to each other..."
Mitchell did his best to explain himself, still feeling the judgemental looks of Chip's parents. Chip's grandparents on the other hand, looked rather happy to see their grandson's newest friend. Lan couldn't help but get a sense of deja vu around Mitchell. There was something familiar about him that he couldn't shake off. After hearing Chip rant for a few minutes about his friendship with Mitchell, Patch seemed to have calm down, seeing that Mitchell was genuine.
"Okay, kiddo, we get it."
Patch ruffled Chip's hair before gently shaking Mitchell's hand.
"Mitchell, right? It's nice to meet you. My name is Patch Hikari."
"Nice to meet you too, Sir."
Mitchell was still slightly nervous as he shook his hand. Despite his best efforts to hide his nerves, Patch could feel his hand shivering slightly. He couldn't help but smile since it reminded him of how his friends reacted to his dad. Momiji came over to Mitchell with a gentle smile on her face.
"Hello there, Mitchell. My name is Momiji. In the living room is Lan and Mayl. We're all happy to have you here."
Momiji gestured to the couch where Lan and Mayl were.
"Thanks..."
Mitchell felt the awkwardness in him slowly disappear as he saw that his attempt to meet Chip's family hadn't ended in failure like he feared. They seemed really nice. Patch stood up and wrapped an arm around Chip and Mitchell's shoulders.
"Okay, how about we go have some fun outside?"
"Yeah!"
"Okay."
Patch led both boys out to the front yard and Lan joined them shortly after. This was the most fun Mitchell had ever had. He could tell that Chip felt the same way too. They built a snowman, went sledding down a hill, had a snowball fight, they even made snow angles in the snow. Mitchell laid down on the snow next to Chip as snowflakes fell from the sky. His dad would never do this... Not since... 'No, don't think about that. You're here to spent time with Chip's family, don't worry about them, Mitchell.' Mitchell told himself as he looked over to Chip who was looking at the sky in awe. He couldn't help but smile at him. Sense he arrived at ACDC Town, Chip's been the best thing to happen to him. He actually enjoyed himself when he was around Chip, he felt like he could be himself without being bullied by others or judged by his family.
"Alright, let's head inside."
Mitchell snapped out of his thoughts as he saw Chip following Patch back into the house. He got to follow them before stopping as he saw how Chip's parents embraced him. For a moment, he thought about his parents. His parents... Ever since his mother's death, his family changed. Most of them were horrible to him and his father, eventually forcing them to move to ACDC Town. His father has been working hard everyday at his job to help get them settled in. His dad was a good man but a workaholic and was practically working himself to death just so that Mitchell could have a good life. He couldn't help but feel slightly bitter seeing Chip with both of his parents. Why did life take his mother from him? Why did things have to go so wrong in life so suddenly? Why couldn't things just go back to the way they were? Lan could sense that something was bothering Mitchell and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Are you alright?"
Mitchell snapped around to see Lan looking down at him with concern in his eyes.
"I'm fine..."
His tone said otherwise, Lan could tell that something was bothering him.
"I know we only met today but, if you need someone to talk too, I'm right here and ready to listen..."
Mitchell could hear the sincerity in Lan's voice. Even if he didn't want to tell Chip about it, surely there was nothing wrong with him telling Lan a little bit, right? Not too much, just what he was thinking of in the moment.
"I was just thinking about how things were when my mom was still around..."
Mitchell couldn't bring himself to say much else. He didn't want to ruin this for Chip or his family. Lan didn't press further into it, sensing that Mitchell was feeling rather secure and figured that he was still warming up to them. He did decide to ask something about Mitchell's family.
"There wouldn't happen to be anyone in your family named Mick, would there?"
"Yes... Mick's my grandpa... Why do you ask?"
Suddenly, it clicked in Lan's head. The reason why Mitchell looked so familiar to him.
"Heh, and he wouldn't happen to live in Central Town, would he?"
"Yeah... He does..."
Mitchell looked at Lan, slightly confused.
"Funny, I didn't know he had kids, let alone grandchildren... I guess it has been a while since we've seen each other..."
"Wait, you know my grandpa?!"
Mitchell was surprised to hear this news.
"Yes... I had to move to Central Town when I was a kid for a brief while with mu family thanks to a job my dad had..."
Lan continued talking for a little bit as they headed inside. They all got hot chocolate and watched some movies. Mitchell was enjoying himself. He was having fun at Chip's place. Soon, it was time for Christmas dinner. Mitchell had considered leaving then but the family insisted that he stay to eat before going home. He loved it there. For once, it felt like he had a family. He felt like they were his family. Soon, dinner was over and Mitchell went home.
"Hey grandpa?"
"Hmm? What is it, Chip?"
Chip whispered into Lan's ear about what he wanted to get Mitchell.
"Oh, I can help you out with that..."
"Really?"
"Yep, we'll stop by tomorrow in the afternoon."
"Okay!"
Chip went to bed, happy that he would be able to get a present for his friend. He was going to get him his own PET with his own NetNavi. Chip couldn't wait to see how Mitchell would react to it. For now, it was time to sleep.
"Goodnight, Axl."
Axl.EXE, Chip's NetNavi, responded.
"Goodnight, Chip."
The two of them went to sleep, excited for what tomorrow would bring.

So, let me guess– you just started a new book, right? And you’re stumped. You have no idea how much an AK47 goes for nowadays. I get ya, cousin. Tough world we live in. A writer’s gotta know, but them NSA hounds are after ya 24/7. I know, cousin, I know. If there was only a way to find out all of this rather edgy information without getting yourself in trouble…
You’re in luck, cousin. I have just the thing for ya.
It’s called Havocscope. It’s got information and prices for all sorts of edgy information. Ever wondered how much cocaine costs by the gram, or how much a kidney sells for, or (worst of all) how much it costs to hire an assassin?
I got your back, cousin. Just head over to Havocscope.
((PS: In case you’re wondering, Havocscope is a database full of information regarding the criminal underworld. The information you will find there has been taken from newspapers and police reports. It’s perfectly legal, no need to worry about the NSA hounds, cousin ;p))

Twelve Days to Christmas(Day 10):Christmas Dinner.
Summary:Chip Hikari enjoys a lovely christmas dinner with his family. A special friend also comes to visit him.
Chip Hikari sat on the couch and looked out the window. He was watching the snow fall and the christmas lights on the neighboring houses glisten through the dusk. His mother, Momiji Hikari, was finishing up cooking christmas dinner.
"Chip! Could you help me set up the table?"
"Yes, Mom!"
Chip got off of the couch and helped his mother set up the table as she placed the food down on the table. Chip turned towards the door as he heard a knock.
"They're here! Mama! They're here!"
Chip ran to the door as Momiji followed behind him. She called upstairs to her husband, Patch Hikari.
"Honey! Your parents are here!"
"Hang on, I'm coming!"
Patch came downstairs as Momiji opened the door. Standing outside was Lan Hikari and Mayl Hikari.
"Hey... Merry Christmas."
Lan and Mayl hugged Patch before stepping inside. Chip waited til they were fully inside before running over to his grandparents.
"Grandma! Grandpa!"
"Hey kiddo!"
Chip hugged his grandparents. Lan ruffled his hair while Mayl gave him a little peck on the cheek.
"Have you been good this year?"
"Yeah! I've been extra good this year!"
They headed to the dining room. Chip sat down with a big smile on his face. As his parents were getting the food set up on the table, he couldn't help but think about his friend who would be visiting later. His friend was named Rango K. Kurayami. They had been friends for a while now, and he couldn't wait to see him again. All throughout the evening, Chip listened as his parents talked with his grandparents as they ate dinner. Soon, everyone was done and he was dismissed to his room. Chip waited in his bedroom for a while before hearing a knock at his window.
"Mitchell!"
"Hey, Chip."
Mitchell slipped in through the window. He was only about a year older than Chip.
"Are you excited for Christmas tomorrow?!"
"Hehehe, yeah, I am."
Mitchell had a small smile on his face as he sat down on the desk chair.
"So, how's your day been?"
"It's been awesome! Dad and I made a snowman! We got to go to the park. My grandparents came over for dinner..."
Mitchell listened as Chip ranted on about how his day went. He couldn't help but feel slightly envious at how close Chip was with his family.
'I wish my family was close like that.' Mitchell thought to himself as he listened to Chip. His family were not the best people, in fact, he hated most if not, all of them. They were all horrible people. He wanted to tell Chip about it but considering the holidays, he decided not too.
"Hey, you should meet them!"
"Huh?"
He was snapped out of his thoughts as he heard Chip mention the idea of meeting his family.
"I don't know... It's pretty late and I'm not sure how they feel about some random kid that you happen to be friends with... You know... climbing through your...window..."
Chip looked at Mitchell with the biggest puppy eyes ever.
"Please! I think they would like you!"
"I'm not sure..."
"Please! Please! Everyone is really nice!"
Mitchell sighed in defeat, he couldn't resist Chip and his bright attitude.
"Okay, how about this? I'll come visit you guys tomorrow in the afternoon."
"Really?!"
"Yep!"
"Okay I'll send an email tomorrow!"
"Uh... Yeah... About that..."
Mitchell awkwardly shuffled as he looked at Chip.
"What? Don't tell me your parents haven't gotten you a PET yet."
"Well, I have been trying to save up so that I could buy my own but... It's really hard for me get the money to buy one... My parents are really strict with the amount of money that they give me."
Mitchell looked at the time.
"Speaking of which, I should get going they're probably wondering where I am."
Chip thought to himself as Mitchell headed to the window.
"Bye, Chip. See you tomorrow."
"Bye..."
Chip watched as Mitchell left before getting a good idea in his head. He could get Mitchell a PET as a present! His grandpa did still have some Net Navi data in his computer. Maybe he could get Mitchell a Navi from there. He would ask his grandpa for help, of course. Chip went to bed with a wonderful idea in his mind.

Twelve Days to Christmas(Day 9):Letter to Santa.
Summary:Yuko and Sachiko write letters to Santa as a way to distract themselves from the pain of being homesick.
Yuko was sitting in on the couch in Ramshackle's lounge. It was a rather quiet afternoon compared to it was usually like. Grim was taking a nap, Robert was at his club, and Yuka was upstairs in her bedroom doing her own thing. He looked outside the window to see that it was snowing. If he remembered correctly, it was December, which meant that Christmas would be coming up soon.
"Christmas is coming up... I wonder how my family is doing? Do they miss me? Are they worried about me? Do they even know that I'm gone?"
Yuko felt his heart start to sting from the pain of homesickness. He missed his family. He missed Hiroshima. He missed his friends. He missed his old school life... He suddenly got an idea as he took his notebook out of his bag and flipped to a random empty page near the back of it. He then picked up a pencil and started writing...
Dear, Santa. My name is Yuko Satoshi. I'm a sixteen year old boy from Hiroshima, Japan... Well, the thing is... I'm not exactly in Hiroshima anymore. After a strange set of mysterious circumstances, I've found myself in a world called Twisted Wonderland. Nevertheless, I wanted to write a letter of what I wanted this year. The first thing that I would like is a new set of wireless headphones. My old ones aren't doing too well and I'm going to need a replacement soon. The second thing I want is a new wallet. Mine got messed up badly after it got ran over by a carriage of all things. Speaking of messed up things, I would also like a new phone since it also got ran over by the carriage. Lastly I would... I would like it if you could give me something that would help me get home... As I said before, I'm not from Twisted Wonderland and I've been stuck here since September... Don't get me wrong, this place is nice and NRC is a neat school. I've made friends with some of the students here and there's even someone like me in the same dorm as me. I just... I miss my home... I miss Hiroshima, the city I live in. I miss Japan, the country I'm from. I miss my family, my friends, my old school... I can't even begin to imagine how worried everyone back home is about me... I hope this letter reaches you. Sincerely, Yuko Satoshi...
Yuko finished writing the letter and stared at it as his hands shook. He could already feel his eyes getting misty. God, why couldn't he just go home already?! He sat there for a bit and continued to look at the letter...
Upstairs, Sachiko was humming christmas songs as she began writing her own letter to Santa. She was sitting on the bed with a pencil and a notebook in her lap.
Dear Santa, Hello! My name is Sachiko Yukari. I'm a sixteen year old girl from Shibuya, Japan. I'm been looking forward to writing to you for so long! For starters, I would love a new set of art supplies and a new sketchbook for me to use. I really wanna get into drawing again. Secondly, I want an MP3 Player. I know they're kinda outdated but I like older tech. I also would like some headphones to go with the MP3 Player. I also want a new phone... You see, my original phone got cracked by a carriage of all things... Lastly, I want a way to get back to Shibuya. This might come as a surprise to you but, I'm currently in another world called Twisted Wonderland where most people here are mages and can use magic. I'm specifically inside the campus of Night Raven College, a magic academy for said mages. Long story short, one of the carriages came and picked me up by mistake. Same with another kid in my dorm. I've been here since the beginning of September... As much I like seeing this place and hanging out with the students here... I really wanna go back home. I got a family searching for me. I've got friends who are worried sick for me. And I don't know how much longer I wanna stay here. It's been hard fighting off the pain of being homesick. I hope this letter gets to you soon. Sincerely, Sachiko Yukari.
Y
Sachiko looked at her letter before feeling her heart weigh heavy on her. She missed her old life and knowing that her loved ones would more than likely have to spend christmas without her in fear of her never returning hurt her badly. She heard Grim waking up and quickly tore the letter out and hid it in the drawer. Downstairs, Yuko had stuffed the letter into his pocket as he heard Robert come in along with Ace and Deuce. He didn't want anything to see the letter that he wrote. Soon, Sachiko and Grim came downstairs. The two of them did their best to swallow their pain, not wanting to worry their friends... The two of them gave each other a silent glance, acknowledging each other's pain before listening to everything that happened at their friends' clubs.

Twelve Days to Christmas(Day 8):Secret Santa.
Summary:Class 76-A have deicided to do a secret santa for the holidays. All of them head to the mall in order to get their secret santa a present.
[2:20 PM:Classroom 67-A]
"Alright everyone, I have an exciting announcement!"
Ms. Nagi said as the class fell silent and looked at her.
"As you all know, the holidays are swiftly approaching and I've decided that we'll be having a christmas party before the end of the semester!"
"Whoo!"
The ultimate students of Class 76-A cheered. They were already happy about getting through their first semester in freshman year, and celebrating just before the holidays was the icing on the cake for them.
"That's not all..."
Ms. Nagi spoke again as the cheering died down and the attention went back to her.
"We'll also be doing secret santa. To summerize, secret santa is where everyone draws a random name and has to get a present for them."
Ms. Nagi gestured over to a box filled with slips of paper.
"In this box are small strands of paper with everyone's names' on them. When I call your name, you'll come up and pick up a random paper. Check to make sure you didn't get yourself before heading back to your desk. Does everyone understand?"
"Yes, Ms. Nagi."
The class spoke in unison as they all glanced around with excitement. Each student hoped to get a certain person who they knew well.
"Alright, then let's start with..."
Ms. Nagi looked at the attendance sheet before calling out each person.
"Amaya Midori."
"Birei Chikara."
"Gyaru Kirigiri."
"Hana Akemi."
"Hachiro Hirokazu."
"Kagami Amaterasu."
"Kagoshima Kurosaki."
"Kagerou Zankoku."
"Kazuo Matsuzaki."
"Makoto Shujinko."
"Mika Kiyoshi."
"Nana Kazuma."
"Ren Kenji."
"Riku Ryu."
"Shingo Izumi."
"Shujin Ishikawa."
One by one, everyone came up and grabbed a paper till everyone got one. They scanned their papers, some with excitement while others looked slightly disappointed with who they got. Once the last person sat down, Ms. Nagi finished explaining the rules.
"Everyone has to keep their secret santa a secret, hench the name, secret santa. And one last thing, try not to go too crazy with your presents. They have to be something that everyone can take home with them after the party, got it?"
"Yes, Ms. Nagi."
"Great! Class dismissed!"
The students filed out of the classroom and headed towards the dormitory, changing into casual clothes and putting on winter coats and boots before heading towards the mall. This was the closest place to Hope's Peak Academy and it was large. The perfect place to find a present.
[2:30 PM:The Mall]
Amaya Midori looked around a bookstore. Her secret santa was Riku Ryu. She knew that Riku loved reading books so she looked around.
"Hmm... romance? No, she's definitely read most of these. Fantasy? Nah, she's built most of her writing career off of that... Maybe... science fiction."

Twelve Days to Christmas(Day 7):Hot Chocolate by a Campfire.
Summary:Hub has a cup of hot chocolate while staying at the Mettuar village near the Undernet. As he relaxes, someone he hasn't seen in a long time approaches him. Along with a face he'd thought he would never see again.
"Mmhmm. I forgot how good this tasted..."
Hub mumbled between sips of hot chocolate as he sat in front of a campfire. It had been a few months since he had become an independent NetNavi. He spent that time traveling through the net, defeating hostile viruses and avoiding other NetNavis. He had recently received an invitation from the UnderKing to come to the Undernet. Right now, he was siting at a campfire in a Mettuar village that was just outside of the Undernet.
The group of Mettuars near him watched him in curiosity, some of them examining the cloak that he wore. It was black and reached down to his feet. The hood was usually pulled up over his head but since there was no one here, he decided to leave it down. He wasn't wearing his helmet anymore since it got destroyed during his escape from the Neo Arcadia Guardians Corporation. His hair was still brown but now the tips of his hair were black and four thin light blue streaks running through his hair from his parted front hair to the four spikes at the back of his head. The center of his iris surrounding his pupils were now red while the rest of his irises are still green and his pupils are light blue instead of black. His armor didn't really change, aside from his bodysuit becoming slightly darker in color and the scar etched across his navi symbol. He shuddered at the memories of what happened at N.A.G Corp. He felt the Mettuars and other docile viruses approach him, trying to comfort him, even if they weren't doing a good job at it.
"Heh... I'm alright little friends."
Hub took another sip of hot chocolate. It was quiet in this part of the net but that didn't bother him. He wanted to be alone for the time being. Ever since his operator's death, things haven't been good for him. The Neo Arcadia Guardians Corporation or N.A.G Corp imprisoned him and made an imperfect copy of his data before attempting to delete him, leading to his eventual escape. Things didn't stop there, when he tried to go to his father for help, he was met with the horrific sight of both of his parents dead and that copy standing over them. He fled and tried to reach out to his friends and the friends of his operator but to no avail. They either believed that he had gone rogue or were powerless to help him in one way or another. He eventually went to his operator's son for help and although he couldn't do much to stop N.A.G Corp, he was at least able to hide him from them.
"*sighs* If only he was still here... Father would've had a solution."
He thought back to the sight of his father's corpse on the floor. He remembered the flash of terror in his final moments. If only he was fast enough to reach them. If only he'd gotten out of N.A.G Corp sooner before they could copy his data. He gritted his teeth before taking another sip of his hot chocolate, which was half empty now.
"It doesn't help that they're still after me..."
He glanced around the village towards the entrance, making sure none of N.A.G Corp's Navis were there. He sighed a breath of relief and continued drinking til the canteen was empty, placing it down.
"At least I'm close to the Undernet now. I should be able to get there in the morning. I wonder why Serenade wanted me to go there anyway?"
His mind drifted back to a few days ago when he was still hiding out at Patch Hikari's place. He had gotten an email through Patch from Serenade, aka the UnderKing to come to the Undernet as soon as possible. After Patch made a cloak for him as well as a basic deck of chips to defend himself with, Hub made his way through the net. He dealt with many hostile viruses and near encounters with other NetNavis. It was rather difficult just getting to the outskirts of the Undernet thanks to the bounty of 10,000,000 Zenny that N.A.G Corp put on his head for his capture. He shuddered once more. His mind was swirling with horrible memories.
"God, I wish you were still here... Brother."
Lan's death came seemingly out of nowhere. One day, he was with Lan in SciLab going about their day... The next, he woke up in a cell in N.A.G Corp's facility and learning of his operator's death and that he would be kept there for his safety until further notice. He didn't get to see Lan personally but he did see pictures and videos of his brother being shot straight in the chest by some individual who was just out of frame for him to see. He gagged slightly as the memory flooded his mind before shoving it back down.
As he was reminiscing on the days when his life was good and things weren't terrible like they were now, he hadn't realized that someone was approaching him from behind. Until he heard a name he hadn't heard for awhile now.
"MegaMan."
Hub flinched when he heard his other name. Before his operator's death and spiral of bad events, he was known by most as MegaMan.EXE. Lots of people considered him a hero til the unfortunate death of his creator by the hands of N.A.G Corp's copy of him. Now, he just goes by Hub, a name that his brother always called him. His human name and name of his DNA data, Hub.bat. He turned around, expecting to see one of N.A.G Corp Navis or even one of his friends but instead, he saw someone he hadn't seen since he visited the Underground where the Cybeasts were originally kept, assuming that he had been deleted after their fight.
"Bass... You're alive?!"
The black, purple, and gold body was unmistakable and his red eyes stared into his soul. The brown tattered cloak swayed as he floated towards him. Hub couldn't tell if he was enraged seeing him or surprised due to his unclear tone of voice.
"Hmph! Did you really think that you'd gotten rid of me for good?!"
Hub flinched again seeing the gleam of hatred in his eyes.
"I literally saw you explode after I stopped you from deleting me... How are you still alive?"
Bass leaned directly into Hub's face.
"That is none of your concern... However, I've heard rumors of your supposed betrayal against humanity..."
Bass's eyes trailed down Hub's body.
"And judging by how you look, it seems that might be true."
"Rumors? What rumors?"
Hub asked, even though he more than likely knew exactly what Bass was talking about.

Twelve Days to Christmas(Day 4):Christmas Tree Decorating.
Summary:Rita watches as her family decorates the christmas tree.
Rita was sat down on the living room floor. Her tail wagged as she saw her human family bring in the christmas tree. It was lush and smelled nice. She sniffed the tree out of curiosity as two of the daughters brought in ornaments, fake flowers, and lights. Rita sniffed the objects in curiosity. She watched as the glowing lights were put onto the tree. Her head tilted as the colorful lights glowed in the room.
She gently nudged some of the ornaments towards one of the kids, wanting to be helpful to them.
"Thank you, Rita!"
The child patted Rita on the head as they put the ornament on the tree. She happily continued gently pushing boxes towards them, feeling satisfied with helping them. As the tree became more colorful with bright ornaments and fake flowers, Rita turned her head to see the mother bringing in a gold star. Her eyes widened as she wagged her tail. She watched as the mom put the star on top of the tree.
"Now that we're done, who wants some hot chocolate?"
"I do!"
Rita let out a happy bark. She wanted something for helping out too.
"Don't worry, Rita, you'll get something too."
The mother reassured her as she made hot chocolate for the kids. Once she was done, she put some special favored chewy bones in Rita's bowl. She happily ate them before sitting down near the christmas tree. Yawning as she looked at the tree before falling asleep next to it.

This was so hard to write out. You guys have no idea how much I'm hurting right now. To wake up and the first thing I'm told from my parents is that our dog is gone. At least she left in the peace and comfort of her home, safe and sound on her bed.
Tumblr media
Today is a hard day for me. Yesterday, around 12 AM, our family dog and first pet, Rita, passed away in her sleep. I have lots of fond memories of her. Playing with her when she was a puppy. Saying hello to her everyday when I came home from school. Seeing her enjoy the bone that we always got her for Christmas. She loved us and was always protective of us when someone she didn't recognize came near us. She would sometimes get sassy with mom or as she called it, giving her lip. Throughout this year, she wasn't doing so well. Her fur was starting to fall off, she would sometimes pee in the floor, even though she had already gone outside. She even started having problems walking and was struggling to walk. Even yesterday, a few hours before she passed away, my dad had to carry her back up our back porch stairs, because it so hard for her to walk. I was thankful when I found out what she wasn't sick but just getting old, it made sense, she couldn't stay a little puppy forever. We've had her since I was a little kid. I even got to name her. Back when I used to watch the Buddies movies, I remembered a character named Rosebud that I really liked and I wanted our dog to have a name that began with an R too. Rita was the first thing that came to my mind. It was unique, and had a nice ring to it. Everyone in my family liked it and the name stuck. I remembered that she always loved walking around when everyone was in an area of the house together, I guess she wanted to join in on whatever was happening. She would just be sitting there with a wagging tail, happily watching us talk or do whatever. Her favorite food that she would occasionally get from us was chicken. Usually small pieces of it when we couldn't eat anymore of it. We never gave her chicken bones though, we didn't want her to get sick. I'm just grateful that she passed on peacefully in her sleep and not in any ounce of agony. She's currently outside in a wagon on the back porch, still on her bed, sleeping as if the world didn't exist, except, now she's sleeping forever. I know that despite my aching heart, she's in a better place now. She's up in heaven running around, enjoying all the chicken and bones to her delight. She doesn't have to worry about the sun beating down on her fur and making her hot. Most importantly, she's not alone up there. She has plenty of friends to play with and be happy around, just like how she was when she was a puppy. Rita, you were the sweetest dog I've ever had. I love you so much. R.I.P Rita, the sweetest and happiest dog I ever knew.
